The island was once home to Norway's most powerful noble family, the Arnungs, and is mentioned in the Snorre saga.

Enjoy the wonderful view from this idyllic storehouse located on Valderøya outside Ålesund. The hayloft is over a hundred years old, but it has been renovated. NOTE: The storage room has electricity, but not running water or a toilet. Guests can use shower and toilet in the main house which is 30 m away. The bathroom in the main house is only used by you guests and access to the rest of the main house is closed off. There is 5 gallons of water available in the fridge. Newly renovated farmhouse from 1894 which has retained its unique charm and old style :) The house is located on Ulla, Haramsøy (Haram municipality), with the sea as its nearest neighbour. It is a short distance to fishing opportunities and a bathing area, and the hiking trails are right outside the kitchen door. There will also be a boat available for free use during the stay at your own risk.

Within an hour or two you can reach famous places such as Geiranger, Åndalsnes, Loen and the amazing bird island Runde. The Atlantic Park in Ålesund is also worth a visit. In Ørsta, 20 min. away, there are plenty of shops and restaurants.

The cabin is situated right next to some of the most beautiful fjords in Norway. in the summer you can experience whales swimming by, different birds and other animals. in the winter you can wake up and drive 30 minutes and go skiing in the mountains. You can also se beautiful northern lights (aurora borealis) here.

We live on a fantastic island,in a big house and we give for a rent 3 rooms with a separate entrance. Our house is in 10 min distance from the airport with car . In 15 min there is an amazing beach where you can go for a walk, there is also a supermarket in 10 min walking. If you will choose public transport, there is a bus stop in front of our house.
