Family-friendly vacation rentals in Rio Rico

We had a wonderful time at Silvia’s place! The house is spacious, clean and very comfortable. We had everything we needed. The backyard is huge and lovely. Thank you so much for a great stay!

Fantastic location! Close to grocery stores, restaurants, a small playground for little ones, and a a short drive to great hikes. Gareth was friendly and responsive. Will definitely be staying there again!

This large, eclectic house was a fun place to hang out and relax. There isn’t much to do around there (which we knew) and that was perfect for us. We hung out and played pool and polar plunged in the pool and played games and listened to the birds and relaxed. The caretaker was helpful and available. The outdoor hot tub was turned on at our request but it did not get hot at all. It was kind of warm. It was also a surprise to be told we should not flush any toilet paper. Both toilets have bidets but that water is cold! These were fairly minor issues for us, though, and we enjoyed our stay.

Located between downtown Tubac and the Tubac golf resort, the home is easy walking distance to either. Fenced yard is both private and dog secure. Home is not cluttered with things as some rentals are. Clean linen, panty had many spices and cooking oils, dressings, etc. We did not use the bikes provided, but they were in good order. Community pool is warm, not very busy considering it was over Christmas and Hannukah. Easy to check in and out. No issues during our holiday stay. We would rent again if it is available!

Everything about Mary's place was easy and beautiful. The place is spacious. I had a good workspace on the dining room table. The WiFi was not too bad given the difficulties of maintaining a signal near the border. I was able to stream movies in the bedroom with occasional buffering occurring and do desk work without any problem in the dining room area. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen with breakfast nook was large and accommodating. I stayed for a month for a personal retreat, explored Nogales AZ and Nogales Sonora. The most glorious thing about the whole house is the view into Nogales Sonora. I took in sunrises and watched the lights glitter at night. Mary was ever gracious and helpful.

This is a perfect place to stay with canine companions. Not only are the accommodations and grounds dog friendly but the inn is very close to the DeAnza Trail, a local dog park and a slew of restaurants and galleries that welcome pets.

This was my second time staying in the casita and won't be my last. This is a fantastic location and it is a well thought out space. The keypad for the door was acting up and Todd immediately came over and replaced it, super responsive.

This is the third time I have stayed in this house with four friends. We keep coming back because the house and location work so well for us on our annual retreat. You can walk to most everywhere in town, yet the house itself is very quiet with a nice back patio and a well equipped kitchen. Also very good hiking.

We enjoyed our stay at Celeste’s casita. The place was well appointed with kitchen tools and stocked with extra items in case we ran out of that item…such as paper towels. The place is painted a lively and lovely Southwestern/Mexico feel. Although w gave Celeste and her casita 5 stars, there are a few things to know. The kitchen is small so a stove top was eliminated, instead there is a two burner hot plate. We did use that for the first 4 days…was tricky getting used to cooking on the hot plate. There is also no garbage disposal so we made sure to empty out the sieve in the sink. The parking is good with a rock lined driveway. Their restaurant is across the street and gets really busy so people park their cars on our side of the street. A relief to have a delineated parking space, I appreciated all the communication with Celeste. She was prompt in answering questions. The bed was comfortable which made for a good night’s rest. It's a true gem. Quiet even though it is near I-19. This unit's layout makes it feel very roomy. Watch the stairs, though. Bring your dogs!

Nellie's home is absolutely beautiful, and the views are just sensational. We had the option to stay upstairs or downstairs and chose upstairs; the bed was great, the patio was to die for, and she kept the home at such a nice, cool temperature for us. We had so much fun taking walks in the area and came home one night from dinner to find two deer in the driveway—so awesome!! Nellie is so sweet, caring, helpful, and an awesome host.

We had a great stay. Check in had some complications, but only minor. The host was very helpful, the room was exactly as advertised, and the grounds around the room were peaceful.

One of the most beautiful places we have been. The house was amazing with wonderful artwork books games and instruments and that’s not including the BEAUTIFUL views! A favorite pastime we enjoyed there was watching all the birds each morning (we now love quail and sounds they make)! The wildlife one doesn’t see other places was just an absolute treat for us!! This is a must stay location and one we hope to get back to someday!

We absolutely fell in love with this peaceful and beautiful casita. The host is absolutely delightful, friendly and helpful. Her restaurant recommendations were excellent and she helped us to experience Tubac like a local. We especially loved the top quality king bed and the generous facing the gorgeous sunsets

We had a wonderful time. We loved our casita. Christine was great and helpful with suggestions. We took her advice and went to Wisdom's restaurant and it was amazing!!! Loved pup (bubb? I think). Such a sweet dog. The location was great for lots of different things to do. We will be back again. Loved Tubac too!!

we stayed in the 2 bedroom cassita. it was very comfortable. the beds had firm mattresses. The inside of the cassia was very quiet. The front porch was wonderful to just sit and relax and eat our meals in the shade. we were just about 5 mins, if that, from the Anza Trail which is loaded with birds, as well as the property. The pool was really nice and clean. a little chilly yet but I'm sure it warms up quick.
