Great house, perfect size for what we needed. Clean and full of amenities. George was very responsive and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again if we need an Airbnb in Rocky Mount again.

We had a great time as a family of 6 (5 adults and 1 child), enjoying a Thanksgiving getaway on the lake. The house itself has tons of space, very comfortable, fast Wi-Fi, and matched the descriptions, but the real highlight was the amazing views of the lake and being able to walk down to the water and the dock. We also did some stargazing at night, and actually managed to spot the Milky Way on a particularly clear night, along with way more stars than you'd typically see just 70 miles from a major metro area like the triangle. Overall would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet lakefront getaway.

Great location and views! We spend most of our time on the water so having the boathouse so close and hardly any steps was a huge plus! I like a lot of places in Lake Gaston. Very easy to go back and forth to the house (we are always forgetting things.) Huge bonus having a refrigerator on the dock. The house was beautiful, comfortable beds and linens, very large kitchen with plenty of room to cook. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the large deck. Great long weekend all around.

Like the description, it is a peaceful paradise! Outside has beautiful sunrise, and amazing open water views. We took great photos just form the front yard. Inside has artistic decorations. It is truly a unique property. The three-night stay is just too short for us to enjoy all the amenities and to have enough time to talk with Alan and Nora. Will come back again!

The home was wonderful, and exeded our expectations. Thank you for having us and sharing your hidden gem. My daughters both enjoyed all the amenities. We did a little of everything, board games, fishing, hiking, played pool, cooked together and enjoyed the open floor relaxing environment. We hope to be back for our yearly boat outing and possibly do jet skiing, and kayaking in the Summer. (kayaks and rowing boats were also included for use, a +). Also, we loved the lake and board walk in the back yard and fire pit sitting area. We all enjoyed welcoming our New Year in your cozy lake house, we definitely hope to be back. 🧡'd the peaceful and serine atmosphere. With no hesitations I give this house a 5star.

Tony and Jeanne were wonderful, responsive hosts and their house was perfect! It was beautifully decorated, with comfortable furniture and an amazingly well stocked kitchen! The view from the back porch across the water was so peaceful. Check in was easy and the location was just right. We visited the area to see the swans and snow geese as they gather in their wintering location and were treated to quite a display! Thousands of birds at Lake Mattamuskeet and Pungo Lake! We would love to come again and stay in this house, in warmer weather or cold! Well worth the trip! Thank you Tony and Jeanne!

The family met at Jim’s place to celebrate an early Christmas together. There was room for all of us. The kitchen contained all the necessary essentials. The town of Washington provided excellent choices for a dinner or two. I don’t doubt my choice in choosing Jim’s airbnb!

We had an amazing time at the cabin! The lakeside view was absolutely stunning—waking up to the serene water and watching the sunset was a highlight of our trip. The cabin was cozy, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Whether we were soaking in the hot tub, unwinding by the firepit, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings, it was the perfect escape. The host Eric was fantastic—super friendly, quick to respond, and made everything so easy. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun and rejuvenating retreat.
