Firstly, the location is beautiful, peaceful and scenic. The lodge itself was amazing, offering everything we needed for our stay. We especially loved the tennis court, gym, and spa. Stunning, contemporary barn w/gym in rural Wales

SueRating, 5 starstoday
Twll barn is the most wonderfully relaxing home to stay in. Everything you need is provided to a very high standard and on top of that you are surrounded by the rolling Welsh Marches. I tried the gym equipment which was easy to use but preferred to unwind in the beautiful outdoor spaces with the sun and a gentle breeze. The locally sourced Welsh toiletries were a really nice thought along with the welcome selection of local food items. Vic was highly efficient at liaising with me over the booking and this is reflected with the high comfort level of the barn. Can we can come again?!
A charming barn conversion is set amidst lush greenery, featuring a red brick exterior and a slate roof. Large glass doors open to a spacious patio area with outdoor seating, providing a welcoming entry point surrounded by a fenced yard.

The Piggery at Maesbrook

FionaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
The Piggery far exceeded our expectations and we have returned home feeling refreshed and relaxed from our break here. The setting is incredibly peaceful with stunning views over the countryside and the only sound to be heard is birdsong. The interior is spacious, comfortable and equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing break and spotlessly clean. A lot of time and thought has gone into making this a relaxing bolthole from the hustle and bustle of city life yet with all the modern conveniences that make life easier. The welcome treats left by Liz and Alison were an unexpected surprise and thoroughly enjoyed by us. A particular bonus for us travelling with elderly parents was how suitable it is for those with restricted mobility due to there being no steps and both showers being walk in at the same level as the bathroom floor. The hosts are welcoming and very responsive to messages and solving minor issues such as a problem working the wifi. I highly recommend a stay here.

Red House Cottage (self catering cottage)

ScotRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Jayne’ Cottage Stay Absolutely excellent! From start to finish, our stay at Jane’s cottage was flawless. The location is perfect—tucked away in a quiet village with everything you could need nearby, including two great local pubs with fantastic food and handy shop amenities. The cottage itself was exceptional: spotlessly clean, tidy, and equipped with everything you could possibly think of. The two generously sized bedrooms each had their own en-suites and huge TVs, making it incredibly comfortable and relaxing. Jayne was a truly excellent host—thoughtful, welcoming, and accommodating. She even let us use her garage to store our motorbikes during our weekend stay, which was above and beyond. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Peaceful, well-appointed, and hosted with genuine care. We’ll definitely be returning!

Field House, Collfryn Farm Cottages

KarlRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We had a lovely stay and the cottage and location were perfect. The cottage was well equipped, comfortable and in beautiful surroundings. Not far from Oswestry or Welshpool, there was lots to explore locally and as well as a bit further into Wales. Brilliant place and would highly reccomend it for a getaway.
The exterior of a single-storey cottage is displayed, featuring a combination of brick and white walls. A landscaped area includes potted plants beside the entrance. Gravel pathways lead to the front door, framed by greenery, creating a welcoming view.

Oakleigh

HannahRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Really nice place to stay. Very difficult to get a round without a car. Could not figure out how to lock the door for a long time (you pull the handle upwards) and there were no instructions for this. Heat also turns off overnight unless you alter the settings. Otherwise very pleasant stay very clean comfortable place.

Stunning refurbished Grade II Listed building

AdamRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Like something out if a fairy tale, the Summerhouse is an incredible folly and property hidden away in the forest at one with nature with privacy and peace. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed ourselves so much we never ventured from the Estate except to ealk the beautiful surroundings. The house has everything you need with Welshpool and good shopping on your doorstep if you need supplies. The resident pheasant was a beautiful surprise each time he visited for snacks and we even saw a pair of large owls. For a break away from the pressures of work and life The Summerhouse offers an amaxing environment for solitude and relaxation. Thank you x
