Tiny house vacation rentals in Reykjavíkurborg

Eyjolfur’s property was the perfect home base for my 17-year old son and I to spend a week! We mainly explored the northwest corner of the country and this was perfect for that. It was also very easy to get into Reykjavík for more dining options and shopping. The privacy and quiet made coming home after a long day of hiking very welcome! The amenities meant that we cooked most of our meals at home and were able to pack food to take with us. And a coffee maker! Excellent for combatting jet lag. 10/10 would rent again!

Cozy place to stay. The host was very nice to let us check in early. Everything was great in this cabin. Room was enough warm for this cold weather. Because of the volcanic eruption last year, there are no shop n supermarket open in here. We did prepare our foods to cook during our stay so we are fine. We drove out not far away there are an area displayed the poster to show when volcano eruption in this town. It’s a good to drive around this place to understand more it happened. Very good experience for us.

Perfect first stay of our vacation. Close to the airport, beautiful location. Communication with Solveig was good and clear. Directions are very clear. Cottage was clean and spacious. Definitely a recommendation to stay.

We spent one night there and it was amazing. A wonderful cabin in peaceful surroundings - small but cozy. The only “problem” was a too friendly cat which entered the house the moment we arrived. Eyvindur is a friendly and responsive host. We had a really nice time there!

“The best air b&b we have stayed in”. The guesthouse we stayed in was perfect. The place is extremely clean and well thought out, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The personalised note inside upon check in was such a lovely touch. The hot tub is easy to use and the geothermal water is welcome after a long day of exploring Iceland. The views from the cabin are also breathtaking. Sabine is a great and responsive host, providing really detailed instructions before check in and getting back to queries quickly. We also both really enjoyed our walking tour with her wonderful horses today. Could not recommend this place enough, as my boyfriend said while staying there “I think this is the best air b&b we have ever stayed in”…I couldn’t agree more!!

Loved our stay for the few nights we were there. Check in was easy and there is a lot of nice places locally, both for food and exploring. Made a great place to start as we travelled and explored the south of the island! A great place to stay!

We stayed at this place for two nights ( 3 adults and 1 kid). It is very well equipped, you'll find everything you need for grilling or regular cooking. Views are breathtaking, and if you're lucky with the weather you can just chill outside and enjoy the fresh air. Hosts were very friendly and quickly answered all our questions. Instructions are perfect. One thing to note - if you use google maps, don't put the address there, use the coordinates. Address is correct, but google maps directs you to wrong location ( though, not far from correct place ).

The most perfect place to stay on our first stop travelling around Iceland. Excellent location close to shops, cafes, sights but also so peaceful. A beautiful home which was more spacious than I expected and with everything you could need. Highly recommend.

Absolutely LOVELY tucked away spot to stay in Iceland during a solo road trip for two nights. Cozy and safe—I had a stunning view of the Northern Lights. Don’t miss walking down the street to the Red House for dinner.

Clean and tidy room, thoughtful host prepared cookies and chocolates, etc., if you want to see the aurora, this is definitely the best location. I give it a full score. Recommended.

Wow! What a fabulous stay, our first in Iceland! This was a first trip in a long time without our teenage children and it allowed us to look for a property that would accommodate only the two of us. We both loved the rental. It was an easy, beautiful 50-minute or so drive from the international airport and only about 15 minutes to drive into the capital where we had other worldly meals in the evenings among other cultural stops. Approaching the rental, there are beautiful mountains flanking one side of the road and a lovely church at the top of a hill on the other side. The area was peaceful and quiet. We discovered a nearby bakery for daily breakfasts (Mossfellsbakeri) that is heaven.on.earth. The rental was immaculate, the bed was SO comfortable, the decor beautiful, the tub a treat. We have been long-time Airbnb renters and this experience was truly a standout. Helga was so friendly, responsive & helpful! I hope we will return to stay here again sooner vs later!

We had an amazing stay in this cozy cabin overlooking the water. We rented a 4x4 so the driveway was no issue. This stay was close enough to all the things we wanted to see but far away enough that we felt like we were alone in Iceland. Perfect size for a couple! Warm and cozy in March with spectacular views.

We had a wonderful stay at Jónsstaðir. The cabin was lovely and warm on arrival thanks to the underfloor heating. The cabin had everything we needed for our three night stay. We were a little apprehensive about the outdoor shower but even in November this was great! It is in a wonderful location overlooking Þingvallavtn and only a 10 minute drive from þingvellir National Park and 30 mins from Reykjavik. The hosts Anna and Björn were very accommodating and helpful and answered our questions quickly. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed at Petur’s cabin during our honeymoon to Iceland. It was perfect and cozy with many thoughtful touches. The lake it sits on is just beautiful and we loved waking up to the view each morning. Petur’s guidebook was very thorough and helpful, and the instructions on finding the cabin were clear and easy to follow.
