As already mentioned in other reviews, the house is really magnificent and well maintained. From the bedroom to the bathroom, to the dining room, everything is equipped with every comfort necessary to spend a relaxing stay. During our stay we were able to enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains simply by opening the kitchen window and avoiding the summer heat of our home. In addition, all around you can take pleasant walks surrounded by nature, in silence and in the cool. It is important to note that to reach the house it is essential to have a car. As for the phone reception, I recommend placing the phone in the kitchen window area or above the refrigerator. Our stay was marked by some misadventures, but Laurence and Leonardo were incredibly helpful and ready to help. I highly recommend Casanelli! Thank you guys so much for the wonderful hospitality!

The area is incredible, peaceful and the view spectacular. Asciano has the delightful charm of an Italian village. The people were friendly and welcoming. Even got greeted by their local police who offered up their number in case we needed anything. I felt safe, and it felt as if I lived there for years. I’d say this is a piece of heaven on earth. Our stay at La Casa dell Abate was truly wonderful and memorable and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys beauty and comfort off the beaten path. From the moment we arrived, Allesio was welcoming, friendly, showed us around the home and offered tips on what to do. He will also offer you the opportunity for a pasta class or gourmet dinner which is prepared by their friend Francesco, in the private garden/outdoor kitchen. We really enjoyed this experience. Their home is beautifully decorated yet maintains the charm of the 16th century in which the village was built. We slept great in the peaceful surroundings and the comfortable beds with nice linens. Our stay was really magical! Of course, the ambience is wonderful, it is very quiet there and it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the restaurants in Montone, but we wanted it exactly like that! The pool, the view - really everything was fantastic! And our great hosts are simply outstanding! They were always there to help, gave us great recommendations for the area and even organized and translated a truffle hike for us! We are incredibly grateful to have been able to stay in this gem and get to know this wonderful and loving family! Thanks for everything 😊

Daniela and Giuliano's stay is a real gem! The room is compact, with a small bathroom and kitchen, but perfect for two people. The view from the room is truly beautiful. Outside, you can sit in the sun or shade, with the same view over the Tuscan hills. The swimming pool is wonderfully quiet and offers a nice place to relax. Daniela and Giuliano are fantastic hosts. They are happy to help you with everything and run their own small vineyard. The wine tasting with them is an absolute must! And the sweet cats were the cherry on top!

Fantastic location in the last village before you really go into the mountains! And yet, the inhabited world and the supermarket are less than 10 minutes away by car. The house was spacious enough for the two of us, quirky and comfortable. Michele is a great host who is nearby in a pleasant way and communicates quietly. We got fresh eggs and fish stew from him and he gave us some good tips about the area. We didn't use the jacuzzi, but we did use the yoga studio. The villagers - and there aren't many - were also very friendly.

Read the reviews - they are true. If you want to visit Cortona then just book here and you will not be disappointed. This is not a corporate rental, Margherita is proud of the home and so many little things which make a big difference. She picked us up on a Sunday and showed us around the property not just here’s the key code box number etc. she made a reservation for us at a popular restaurant just down from the apartment - doubt we would got the lovely corner table if we had booked ourselves. The two balconies really make a huge difference and you will find one of the best views and sunsets for any vacation. The location is just 2 mins from the main square and believe me this makes a difference in this beautiful but hilly village. Would we visit again ? Most definitely

We loved our stay here! It was so peaceful, with beautiful surroundings. The place was set up with everything we needed for a few days of just cooking and relaxing. Sally was lovely, incredibly helpful, and really great at communicating with us throughout the entire stay. Would highly highly recommend!
