Private house on cattle farm.

PollyRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Kathryn’s place was perfect for our needs. We were visiting family in the area over Christmas. This home is just a lovely older farmhouse with large roomy accommodations in a private and quiet setting. The bedding was comfortable and there was ample hot water. It was quite cold during our visit but the home was warm and comfortable. It was so nice to enjoy beautiful antique pieces of furniture and artwork. There was a wonderful collection of books to enjoy. The yard space was large and both the front porch and back deck made for a great place to enjoy the surrounding nature. We saw deer and a plethora of song birds. Kathryn checked in with us and was both accommodating and communicative. We will definitely book this home again if available during our next visit.

We absolutely loved this tiny cabin sitting in the woods. Our dog Bella was living her best life running through the creek.

Tiny House at Roots Farm

SavannahRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at the tiny home. We’ve both been so busy lately and wanted a place we could relax and Roots Farm was perfect for us. The drive in really set our expectations high, we saw bunnies and deer before we even got to the house. There’s also a cat! The instructions were clear and we were able to easily find where to park. Chris had placed a welcome sign near the parking area with my name on it which I thought was a nice touch. There were string lights on outside so it was easy to see at night with a nice ambiance. The inside of the house was clean and free of any weird smells. We loved the record player and there was a great selection of vinyl to choose from (my personal favorite was Jeff Buckley). The TV being so low seemed odd at first but it turned out to be the perfect level when sitting on the couch. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook and make coffee. The tiny home also isn’t far from downtown Athens, about a 17-20 minute drive.

The Guesthouse, at Schulman Estates

Stayed here for my son’s wedding at Rustic Oak Farms. The place is quaint and private with a beautiful area around it. Lots of extra items in the house so you don’t need to bring everything. Cindy was a great host and very responsive to questions and requests. Would definitely stay here again!

The Cottage at Storybook Farm

MaxineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
It would be difficult to overstate the delights of my stay at the cottage - It was like being in a bucolic fantasy. I felt such peace and serenity it was hard to leave - the stars at night and s'mores around the fire pit was an extra treat. The animals (an astonishing variety) all looked happy and were very polite and gentle. Watching the swans paddle about the pond at sunset was an inspiring scene. If your spirit needs restoration it's a reason to head out to the Danielsville area - I look forward to returning. I was only sorry my 2 year old granddaughter wasn't with me.
A black wood stove is positioned in front of a stone wall, with flames visibly dancing inside. The door is partially open, revealing glowing embers and logs. A sturdy tool for tending the fire rests beside the stove on a stone hearth.

Log Cabin Ideal for Masters Tournament. Sleeps 12+

PhilipRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We have had the opportunity to stay in this cabin/home two different times for a race weekend at Durhamtown Off-road park. It is about 15 minutes away and allows for us to have a space that accommodates our family and needs for a race weekend. The house is incredibly private and has more than enough amenities - we don’t even get enough time to enjoy all it is equipped with. The bunk room is a favorite for the children and we are honestly very thankful for the little things like USB plugs in the lamps, extra blankets, dark towels after being in dirt dust all day, and even supplies for s’mores! The kitchen is fully stocked with well kept items so that planning for meals is easy. Our children even enjoy running around the yard, we just don’t get much time at the house. This would be an easy and fun getaway to enjoy some solitude if you’re not spending all your time at the dirt track.
