STAY HERE! If you’re in Tauranga or visiting Mount Maunganui it’s about a 10-15 min drive to each so you’re right in the middle. The surroundings are BEAUTIFUL. You can see the sunrise every morning over the jungle and hear the roosters and cows in the morning. If you’re lucky you’ll get a visit from their adorable cat Ella. The kitchen, bathroom and bed linens were clean and plentiful. There’s a “dairy” or convenience store a 3 min walk away. They were fantastic hosts that stocked the fridge with essentials and always made sure we had what we needed. They were attentive and quick to respond. We stayed at their tiny home for a month and it was a perfect retreat!

Cath and Tony are wonderful humans! They are kind and generous hosts and this is reflected in their BEAUTIFUL, WARM, ELEGANT home. We stayed at the Kotuku Loft for a month and got to experience what the other reviewers/travelers have said about this beautiful home. Cath and Tony have provided everything you could ever need. We also loved the koha shared with us by previous travelers. If you are looking to unplug, staying quietly and just breath - this home in the Papamoa Hills is a sanctuary and it gives one perspective of our place in the universe. As soon as you drive up Hills, you can literally feel the busyness of life drop away. We were able to rest, read, and enjoy the walking tracks located right outside the gate. It is such a joy to hear and see the birdlife. If you are looking to explore Bay of Plenty - This home is a wonderful base to discover nearby towns and cities. Apart from being so close to Tauranga, Papamoa beach and Mount Manganui, we took day trips to Rotorua and Whakatane-Ohope-Opotiki! NZ's 2022 best toasted sandwich winner is just 40mins away from the loft :) If you are at Kotuku Loft on a Sunday, the Papamoa Farmer's market is definitely the place to pick up vegetables, fruit, bread, milk and lots of other yummy stuff. If you see this home available, do not hesitate to book it! We will definitely be back whether it is for a weekend or another long stay. With deep thank you again Cath and Tony!

My husband and I had a wonderful week at Anna's place. It is tucked away but a short drive to town and the beach. We felt very at home. Clean, cozy and overlooking kiwi groves that surround the property. The flower garden was so lovely and there is also fruit plants on the property. Highly reccomend!

What a lovely place to stay! Very spacious with beautiful light and view of the garden. I stayed for 4 weeks and felt it was a very comfortable place to be. Matt and Aga were both very friendly but gave me my privacy. Very helpful and responsive when needed. Would definitely recommend this place! One caution is that there are three children living upstairs so it can get a little noisy during day time hours if you were trying to work from home.
