Family-friendly vacation rentals in Queenstown

Jason and Scott are truly Great hosts. Their cottage is amazingly lovely, clean, with a wonderful view and complete amenities. All we need are readily and conveniently available. Instructions are clear, and the place is indeed very guest-friendly. We had a homey and very special experience. The SPA is also a great deal and the view is breathtaking. We will be back, and hopefully longer stay. Thanks to them for sharing their place; we, as a family, just made another priceless memory.

Martin’s place offers stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. It’s about a 15-minute walk into town, which was a bonus given the current traffic and parking challenges in Queenstown. We especially appreciated the electric Weber BBQ - it worked brilliantly. Thanks for hosting us, Martin!

Stu’s guesthouse was a lovely getaway in New Zealand! Close to Queenstown, ZQN airport, and to many outdoor activities. Very peaceful and private, soft linens, and felt right at home. It’s clear that this is not a cookie cutter Airbnb, but a real guesthouse, and it shows in the fit and finish of the property, and Stu’s helpful and kind approach to hosting. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

The house was amazing! It was perfect for a large group from 7 month olds to 70 years old. Very clean and comfy beds. Will deffo stay here again. Thanks Peter.

Great house with great view and ammenities, kitchen well equipped. only 30min walk from town, however up a very steep hill, not something you can ride a bike up.

We stayed for three nights at the lake house. Kylie was super easy to communicate with and arrange the booking and check-in instructions . The house is spectacular and has a beautiful feel to it with amazing views relaxing hot tub easy lake Access and just a short walk that we enjoyed doing with our kids into Queenstown . We absolutely loved our time at the lake house and we can’t wait to book again maybe during the ski season thank you very much Kylie and Michael .

We are so thankful for Vickie’s hospitality. It was cosy and just what we needed for accommodation. As a base for Queenstown. The views were incredible and peaceful plus the property backed right onto a wonderful trail. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. My family and I absolutely loved Kaye’s home!!! It was in the most perfect location. I loved walking down the hill right into town every morning while taking in the stunning surroundings. Truly this was one of my favorite airbnbs ever. The kitchen also felt like home with everything you could possibly need to cook!! The views from the living room/kitchen are stunning!! You will see the most incredible sunsets. Kaye really goes out of her way to make sure you feel comfortable at this Airbnb and it showed!! We will definitely be back!! Thank you (:

Nice spot, out of the main busy spots but still nice and close when you want to head into Frankton or Queenstown. Cute wee attached flat. Hosts were so lovely and very responsive. we really appreciated the wee treat in the fridge 😉

A great place to gather for a family reunion. The house had everything we needed and the facilities are perfect for a large group. Decor a wee bit tired but all very clean and comfortable. The views are incredible!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return

Jan's place was awesome and the overlook towards Shotover river and the jet was a highlight and and endless source of excitement for us! The view, vicinity and vibe were just right for us to thoroughly enjoy a wonderful stay. The guide Jan has curated is quite extensive and was very helpful to us in many situations (thanks Jan!). The house is ready with all the amenities we needed or could think of, and is well equipped. Another highlight was the mattress which was soooo comfy! Heating was also excellent as the nights were particularly cold (we are from the north Island after all :D). We would certainly come back again if we visit Queenstown! The view from this place is absolutely fantastic—truly one of the highlights of our stay. The location is convenient, and the home was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Queenstown!

He even shared fantastic local recommendations, which made exploring the area so much easier and more enjoyable. Great location which made exploring Queenstown easy and convenient. Trevor’s property was exactly as described—cozy, clean, well equipped and spacious for our family. Trevor is a reliable and trustworthy host who genuinely cares about his guests. I highly recommend staying at his place!

Beautiful located accommodation under Marc's home. Great view of the lake, out door furniture and heating provided. Well equipped property. We walked down to the lake shore but it is a bit steep especially on our way back.

Great communication. We were a family group and the house was perfect, lots of comfy spots to unwind. Great location, would definitely stay again!

The surrounding environment is very nice and it's close to the city center, but the parking garage is a bit small.

Perfect place to spend a few days with family and friends. The unit contained everything we needed and had a spectacular view. We'll be back.

My Family and I had an amazing time staying at Mitzi place. Mitzi made us feel welcome on arrival with a guided tour and some amazing baked goods! Throughout the stay Mitzi prepared a roaring fire ready for our return home. The location provided a private getaway, but easy access to everything we needed. The property is full of character with a great history, and had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. We can’t wait to visit again!

Better than pictures, but most importantly, location, location, location. If you're visiting Queenstown this is the perfect place to stroll into town. And that comes with perfect views, easy parking, and a well laid out house. We really enjoyed it and were traveling with a five and seven year old. Also great place if you want to go for a run in the morning.

Such a lovely spot, great view, close to all amenities, and easy access. Nicola was super easy to deal with and when there was a slight issue (we weren't going to be there to put the bin out) Nicola solved the issue without question or hassle. Highly Recommend
