Our historic cottage is in a great location, a quiet and safe neighbourhood within walking distance to all the main attractions of Oamaru. Light and bright it has 4 bdrms, 2 bathrooms, modern decor, comfy beds & warm, sunny, open living with a glimpse of the ocean. This gorgeous wee cottage is family friendly with a large back yard - great for kids to stretch their legs after a long day in the car. Only a 2 minute drive to the Victorian Precinct and Harbour, 1 minute drive to the supermarket.

There is a play ground which is at the school a couple of hundred yards away. Also a German Café and Vegan Cafe across the road. A free standing fire and heat pump for warmth. The whole house is yours 3 Bedrooms, open lounge, dinning room and Kitchen. Coffee and tea are provided.

Private, delightful garden & decks facing the sun. Outdoor seating provided. Your well behaved, house trained dog is welcome to stay. We offer a cosy cabin in Kakanui, on the scenic route from Dunedin to Oamaru. 10mins drive to penguin colony and historic Oamaru. Kakanui has a shop for groceries, alcohol, take-aways and . A restaurant in walking distance, open Wed-Sun. Have a lovely quiet walk to river and along the beach and then back to the tiny house for coffee or tea. Self-serve breakfast is provide for first night. We are a couple who love guests. We speak English, Swiss-German.

The Moorings

The Moorings is a special place for those wanting to spend time in Oamaru. You will never tire of the outlook over the sea and harbour. The home itself is immaculate and stylishly renovated. The beds and linen are of especially good quality. The home is close to the Penguin Colony, the old part of town and Scott's Brewery if you need a beer or a pizza. We are sorry but the house is not child friendly so we are not able to take bookings with children.
