The house at the end of the world.

THE HOUSE AT THE END OF THE WORLD. No, not quite but nice away from the everyday hustle and bustle. Our holiday property ( house with 2 apartments with respective separate entrance ) is located on the outskirts of Benneckenstein , right on the Rappbode. 4500 sqm property also leads to the campfire , camping and in winter for tobogganing on your own toboggan slope. The house only serves as a holiday property So it doesn't have a permanent tenant. Since dogs are allowed in both apartments, we ask to be considerate to each other.

The apartment on the first floor of a family house is located directly at the foot of the Harz, between the cities of Wernigerode and Ilsenburg in the small town of Drübeck. Located directly on the forest, you can hike from the apartment on numerous routes into the Harz Mountains or start with the mountain bike. The motorway (A36) makes the place the perfect starting point for excursions in the entire Harz region, as well as in the northern Harz foothills. With about 60 m², the apartment can accommodate up to 4 people.

Lovingly renovated, spacious city apartment, 70 square meters

The apartment is on the second floor of our townhouse from 1908. We acquired it in 2020 and have completely renovated it with love ever since. You can expect plenty of space through spacious living areas, modern furnishings, plenty of peace and relaxation. We hope you love it and can recharge your batteries during your stay. Furthermore, the city of Quedlinburg offers a lot of history, art and culture. The Harz Mountains are right outside the door and invite you to explore.

With a lot of vacation home experience, we quickly came to the conclusion that the apartment is the way we want a vacation home and how we would offer it ourselves. For us and our three children, the apartment was the ideal base for hikes and activities. The morning sun on the balcony with great views made the stay perfect for me. The apartment is quite centrally located, the main street of Braunlage can be reached on foot in 3 minutes or in about 15 minutes of Wurmberg. The apartment is located in an apartment building. Upon arrival, a super clean apartment and all kinds of suggestions for hiking and more awaited us! It is quite modernly equipped - so also top bed and mattresses. Since we cook a lot ourselves, it was great that there was a small oven. From there you can easily reach everything by car. We drove back very relaxed! Tip for somewhat noise-sensitive people: the walls are quite thin, so you can hear a lot. Outside the season, not so dramatic, but if the house is full, maybe. But it doesn't have to bother you if you're on the road all day :-D

We had a lovely time in the flat, which is much larger than the pictures suggest and which is in the heart of the beautiful city of Quedlinburg. Everything was at our disposal and we kept remarking how well stocked the flat was, from the kitchen to the bathroom. Someone obviously thought through in detail everything that is needed for a comfortable stay. Perfect for a weekend exploring the town or walking in the Harz mountains!

Stay of 3 nights for work, we each had our own room / note however that there is only one toilet in the bathroom (one room equipped with a shower without sink or toilet). The location is very good, access to restaurants on foot. We would definitely stay again.
