Le Gîte Le Cantou, hosted by Patricia and Didier, is a delightful find that made our stay truly special. Their hospitality is spot-on—discreet yet always there when you need them, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The gîte is impeccably clean, which immediately put us at ease. While the kitchen is quite small, the cookware is a standout, with high-quality pots, pans, and utensils that make cooking a pleasure despite the compact space. The location is a real highlight. Nestled in a quiet private garden, the gîte feels like a peaceful retreat, yet it’s just a short walk to nearby shops. The balance of seclusion and convenience is perfect. The walking trails right from the doorstep are stunning, winding through lush green countryside that feels refreshing and serene. The local farmers’ markets are a treat, packed with fresh produce and delicious regional specialties that inspired our meals. Patricia and Didier have created a lovely, comfortable escape, and we’d happily return.

A short but absolutely perfect stay! Tastefully decorated cottage, the atmosphere is sweet and soothing, and the terrace is a real haven of peace. Everything is carefully thought out for the comfort of the guests. Beatrice welcomed us with great kindness and lovely touches, including a succulent homemade jam! A great experience that we hope to repeat for a longer stay. Thanks again!

An exceptional stay: a beautiful house, very friendly hosts and a very beautiful garden! We enjoyed spending time on the terrace as the calm and view are soothing! Our 2 small dogs also enjoyed the fenced outside. Lots of nice villages to visit in the area and walks to do. Thank you to Nathalie and Bernard for their welcome and kindness!

From our initial enquiry Thomas was responsive and helpful. Upon arrival we were greeted by Thomas and felt straight at home. The house itself is equipped with everything you would need and the decor is lovely throughout. The area around the house is vast and there are many different spots to sit and relax. There is some traffic noise to be heard from the road. From the canoes sailing down the river to the hot air balloons and the incredible scenery, it’s just magnificent. The house is well situated near to dozens of local villages, gardens, castles, shops and restaurants. We weren’t short of anything to do for the 2 weeks we were here. Thank you for creating such a beautiful home in the Dordoigne.

we had a great time in curemonte. the accommodation was very well maintained and very well equipped. in addition, the hosts are very welcoming, and it was a pleasure to chat with them. Finally, the setting is beautiful with a very nice view of the village.

Very pleasant place, pleasant and available host for guests. The only downside we had is perhaps the lack of outlets in the accommodation. We didn't think about it but we should have asked for an extension cord or a double socket.

A great apartment, with a great pool, we were able to rest despite the fact that we only stayed 2 days. We'll be happy to go back 😌

We throughly enjoyed our stay. We were met by Laurent's colleague who showed us how to lock the door from the inside. We didn't realize that locking the door from the outside (and unlocking it) would be such a challenge. But Laurent and his wife were readily available both times we needed instructions. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. In addition to the Nespresso, we appreciated the electric coffee maker with filters provided so we could make a pot of coffee. What stood out- 2 towels plus face cloth per person, the terrace, and a typewritten booklet by the owner with specific info in French and English about the apartment and area. Highly recommend this apartment and we would definitely stay again!

Contact was easy and smooth with Jérémy. Very smiling, punctual and clear in his explanations, he knows how to put you at ease from the start. The apartment corresponded in all respects to the description, it is modern, well-equipped, tastefully decorated and is much larger in reality. It is also very well located in Brive, the hyper center is about a ten-minute walk. Finally, the parking space is an undeniable asset.

Anyone who doesn’t give this place 5 stars is crazy. The view is BEAUTIFUL. Corinne and Keith have thought of everything to make it a perfect stay.

Perfect location right on the Dordogne, you are virtually with your feet in the water. We were in the upstairs apartment with a conservatory-like porch with sliding windows, so the view of the river is fantastic no matter the season. There, sitting at the large table, you can eat, have a drink in the evening or just watch the hustle and bustle on the river (only canoes/kayaks, no motorized boats). The small terrace is also facing the river side, but you can also picnic or use deck chairs in the large garden. The small kiosk on the beach in front of the apartment has excellent small dishes. We were also thrilled with the surroundings, as you can make different visits every day. Everything was great here. We will be happy to come back. Lucette welcomed us kindly on the day of arrival, showed us the apartment and gave us all the necessary information. The apartment was clean and cozy, with all the comforts you need on vacation! We didn't miss anything in the 9 days we were there. If we had a question, we just had to send her a message, she always responded quickly and kindly. Fortunately, there is a translation function in the Airbnb chat, and with Google translate, we came a long way, despite our language barrier. The apartment is very centrally located to visit a large part of the Lot and the Corréze. We recommend this apartment! Pascale is particularly friendly and welcoming and the village is quite charming. We enjoyed the large shower and the outdoor space for dining outdoors. The road that passes in front of the cottage is not very busy, so quiet is guaranteed. We'd love to come back.
