L'antico borgo in cui si trova, Mercato Saraceno, esisteva già nel 1153 quando Saraceno degli Onesti volle creare un mercato vicino al mulino ad acqua, sullo spiazzo vicino al fiume dotato dell'unico ponte sul Savio tra Cesena e Bagno di Romagna. Casa del Moro ha mantenuto lo stile del borgo medievale, aggiungendo elementi di recupero a sostegno della sua identità centenaria.

Un tempo torre di guardia di una estesa fattoria fortificata, custodiva grano e prodotti della terra. La gente veniva qui nel ricetto per cuocere il pane.
