We called this place "the mansion." The views are absolutely breathtaking and the accommodations pristine. The beautiful beach is across the street and the hotel nearby has an outside bar on that beach. We ended up renting a car because we could tell driving in Crete was easier than places like Mykonos and Athens. We ventured to a few places like Richtis Gorge and the downtown harbor; excellent shopping with some closed (no vehicles) streets. We wished we had more time here! Our host was very kind and also helpful in booking the car rental after our arrival. We highly recommend Villa Phi!! Thank you.

We had a wonderful time at Antonios' place! The property was perfectly & accurately described & after we booked it, Antonios sent us lots of additional helpful details, tips & great suggestions. We were just 2 people, so the property felt quite roomy, which was nice. I would say that a car is needed - not so much for the daily tasks as going to the beach or grabbing food, but for the freedom, convenience & affordability when exploring the surrounding. We covered almost the whole eastern part of the island in 20 days & Antonios' villa served as a perfect base. The closest bakery is excellent. The walk to Gra Ligia beach took me 20 min - possible, doable, nice to have in a way, but carefully with the traffic on the road. The Gra Ligia beach is quite nice actually - fine sand inside and not too deep. We were driving to other beaches, but there is a close, nice option too. Overall, the stay at Antonios' place was wonderful- great deal, super service! Will do it again without doubt!

We were welcomed by Sofia's mom and dad. Despite the language barrier, the welcome was warm. They answered our questions without any problems. We also had fruit from their garden. This is a strategic point for visiting the east of the island (Agios Nikolaos, Sitia, Lerapetra, Lassithi Plateau). We recommend visiting the Kafenion just below the cottage. We are in the life of the village and the hosts are adorable... authentic!! Small downside on one of the rooms which is windowless and not separated from the toilet. But for a week we're adapting. Don't hesitate to discover this place

Perfect location to visit the eastern part of Crete. The apartment is well equipped, there is everything you need as a guest, really every detail has been thought of to enjoy a wonderful and relaxing vacation. The apartment has a private parking space, is on the second floor and has its own entrance (18 steps). There are screens everywhere (so no mosquitoes). The living room and bedrooms have air conditioning, and all windows/doors are equipped with electric shutters. You can hear the road at the front of the apartment if you sleep with the balcony doors open, but we didn't have any problems with that. Tip -> Loop Quiet Earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Dimitris is a very pleasant host and responds quickly. He is committed to hospitality, with hospitality, attention and service at the heart of it. He has a proactive approach to understanding and exceeding the needs of us as guests. We loved our stay!
