Sleepy Orchard Trees Ski golf casino private

We had a wonderful time at Lisa’s place. We rented this house for our wedding weekend and found the drive into town to be short and easy (only about a 20 min drive to North Spokane). House was exactly as described and Lisa was very accommodating and friendly. We had a small issue with getting into the house because we didn’t understand how the lock on the door worked, but Lisa was super quick to respond and sent a how-to video that helped us figure it out. We appreciate Lisa’s hospitality and would recommend her place to anyone who wants a quiet escape.

I surprised my wife for her birthday with a weekend away. I wanted something close to nature, close to the water, and private. Lisa's place hit all the boxes. My wife and I really loved the cabin and it was hard for us to leave as we were really enjoying it. Our boy loved jumping off the dock and spent many hours in the water.

Todd and Monica are among the nicest people you are ever going to meet. Very flexible with our reservation adjustment. They go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and at home. We stayed in their yurt in mid February and it was cozy and warm. The bed was also very comfortable. Great location proximal to Schweitzer ski hill.

Sandpoint Lake Retreat

Kylie MarieRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Our stay was at Jordan’s home was perfect for our girls getaway! I couldn’t have asked for anything better. He was very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. He went above and beyond our requests! The home was absolutely gorgeous! So many unique aspects. In my opinion it is much more spacious than the photos make it appear. We easily fit 14 ladies comfortably. Kitchen was fully stocked. We came prepared, brought dishes etc. but quickly realized we should have left all of that home. The kitchen had everything we needed! It was a quick trip this time, but we will definitely be back so we can enjoy the home and beach a little more! Thank you Jordan for a great experience!

Huge huge thank you to Ramona for her last minute hidden gem. While on a long trip moving across the country, her spot was the perfect little tucked away house we needed. My partner sat on the couch and immediately started playing with the CD player. Best mixtape to jam too when washing some dishes 😂. After a really long day driving it was exactly what we needed.

Sandy Bottom Cabin—Lakefront, Dock, Beach,Fire Pit

BonnieRating, 5 stars8 months ago
This is one of the most amazing properties we’ve ever stayed in. The view is amazing and having a private beach is next level. Its in kind of a little inlet area with only 5 or so other homes. We kayaked around the lake and rented a boat one day, both were so much fun and this area is perfect for it. We went swimming in the lake every single day. The fire pit is also great. The house was very clean and a starter kit of toiletries, dish soap, and laundry soap were provided. There were lots of towels. Plenty of nice soft blankets were provided also. The memory foam mattresses were great, this is the first rental I’ve had a sleep better than in my own home! Upstairs there's a loft area where our 3 kids stayed (ages 16, 5, and 2). The hosts really went the extra mile and selected quality furniture both inside and out of this property. Parking was easy, getting to standpoint was easy. There are so many things to do in this town we can't wait to come back! Communication was amazing too.

The Hope House Lake Pend Oreille Waterfront Home

CynthiaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
This is a beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood with spectacular views. We loved it so much we extended our stay and are already talking about coming again next year. There is a nice hiking trail right down the road and other hiking and biking trails a short drive away. We were able to kayak right off the pier, although there are a number of stairs you need to take down to the water which was clearly shown in the photos. Brandy was very helpful with local recommendations and immediately responsive to our questions. We had a great week!

Luxury Family Waterfront Home | Dock + SUP/Kayak

ShannonRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Our family had a fabulous time staying at this residence. We kept busy with all of the amenities, and there was so much to do! The house is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need to hang at the house, fix meals, and just enjoy the scenery. The dock was well situated and we were able to rent Sea Doos and a boat from a local place in Sandpoint. Loved the fact that coffee was there on hand - never know if it's going to be a Keurig or a regular pot! The communication with the management company was very easy. We would highly recommend staying here. The only negative was our trip just wasn't long enough!

We have a large family and every year we get together between Christmas and new years. This was the perfect house. It’s in a neighborhood but plenty of privacy. There are so many cool features about the house that make it such a unique experience. It’s equipped with everything you could need. It’s clean and well cared for. You can tell the owners built the house with tons of thought and care…it feels like home from the minute you open the door.

Riverfront Cabin Retreat with Hot-Tub!

RonRating, 5 stars2 months ago
If I could give this place 10 Stars I would. Jake and Kim ended up getting us in last minute because our other Airbnb had some issues. Things were looking pretty bleak but they came through and saved our vacation. While I didn't get a chance to really do any exploring since we were doing some skiing and ended up getting in while it was dark. What I did see of the river was awesome. I'll definitely be coming back with our extended family in the summertime to take advantage of the area. The place is quiet clean and comfortable. and the hot tub was a lifesaver after a hard day of skiing. Really hard to get out of 😅

Cabin in the Cedars.Close to Lake,Town & Mountain

ShilohRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Michele's place was the perfect retreat to get some good "Forest bathing" in as the spot is nestled sweetly in a grove of cedars. Tasteful personal touches throughout. All things that might cause you to question -have clear instructions such as lights, heating and fans, etc. It just felt very cozy in every way and I'm super happy to have had the opportunity to stay there as I have wanted to for quite some time. I didn't get to access the park like surroundings that have the barbecue hammock and gas fireplace, etc. Because it was pretty stormy outside. But I look forward to it for the next time. 😊

Secluded Cozy Log Cabin

We stayed at Rhianna's place for the week of New Years. It was the perfect place to ring in the new year. We loved how private it was. Despite it being just a few minutes drive to town, we felt like we were secluded in the woods. The cabin is rustic and has an eclectic feel to it and it had all that we needed. We really enjoyed the trails throughout the property and spent a lot of time exploring the woods with our dogs. Thank you for the great stay.

Your guide to Priest Lake

All About Priest Lake

In the northernmost region of the Idaho panhandle, just 30 miles south of the Canadian border, Priest Lake is surrounded by the mile-high Selkirk Mountains and near endless cedar, fir, and tamarack forests. This 10,000-year-old lake with nearly 80 miles of shoreline has become a destination for nature lovers and thrill-seekers. The clear waters, sourced from the mountaintops, make prime conditions for water-skiing, sailing, and canoeing. Just under the shimmering surface is an ecosystem teeming with life, the draw of competitive fishers who make their way from all across the country to try and reel in trophy-sized trout.

Just past the lakeshores, Priest Lake State Park is a nature-bound playground suited for all levels of activity, from observing whitetail deer, moose, and bald eagles in their natural habitats to rock climbing in the nearby mountain range and cross-country skiing in the wintertime. While you’re out adventuring on the park’s numerous biking, hiking, and horseback trails, you’re likely to come across the region’s famous huckleberry bushes, which you’re encouraged to pick from and enjoy. You’ll also find a handful of small lakeside towns scattered across the shore, where you can grab any essentials you’ll need during your stay at your Priest Lake rental.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Priest Lake

Priest Lake has something to draw you during each of the four seasons. The summer is an excellent time to spend a day cooling down in the water or exploring the state park trails hunting for ripe huckleberries. The temperature starts to cool down in fall, and visitors flock to the region to see the gorgeous fall foliage and take a gentle rafting trip down the Priest River. Though winters don’t get as cold as they do west of the Rockies, the amount of snowfall in the region draws in visitors looking to take in the gorgeous white landscape via cross-country skis, snowshoes, and snowmobiles. Spring is the best time to take in the beautiful circle of life, when deer, elk, and other animals that call the park home care for their newborns as the ice thaws. It’s something beautiful to witness, but please leave the animals undisturbed.

Top things to do in Priest Lake

Hanna Flats Cedar Grove Trail

This quarter-mile-long trail brings you through an ancient part of the forest that has survived hundreds of years of logging, homesteading, and natural disasters. The path features educational panels, and you can learn about eight species of trees and nearly two dozen other thriving plant species.

Priest River

This 68-mile river runs through every variation of landscape that the region is known for, from canyons to dense forest to vast pastures with beautiful backdrops of the Selkirk Mountains. Advanced water-sports enthusiasts will want to check out the Class III rapids in the spring, while more casual rafters will want to take this trip during October, when the river is lower and calmer.

Vinther-Nelson Cabin

Only accessible by boat, the Vinther-Nelson Cabin was built by hand in 1897 and is a step back into what life was like in homestead Idaho. Preserved by the Vinther and Nelson families, its caretakers also created a small on-site museum where visitors to Eight Mile Island can learn about the region’s history.
