Beach house vacation rentals in Portland

We had great time, everything was like expected.

Our son, his girlfriend, my husband and I enjoyed staying at the cottage in late October 2024. The location was quite scenic as it overlooked Casco Bay, near Portland, ME. The host made suggestions that we followed (bringing firewood & blankets). The kitchen was equipped with utensils & coffeemakers. The neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed walking in the local preserve along the water and took advantage of visiting the Portland Museum of Art and eating at The Honey Paw, an Asian fusion restaurant.

First off. Let me say the house was great. It was nice and big plenty of room. Very clean we had a big gathering and everyone absolutely loved it and was very satisfied with the price they paid to stay the weekend. Even though we went during the offseason it was still a great time. We Will definetly book this Airbnb again. Thank you Krystal and we will be in contact again.

Meghan's home was a perfect place to stay for my sister's Bachelorette weekend! The home is located in a quiet community with views of the river and bay, and it was conveniently located with just a short drive into the heart of Portland. We found our stay extremely comfortable, especially on such a cold and dreary April weekend. Meghan had the hottub ready for us with matching robes for all which was a fun surprise. Check in and check out were a breeze. We even took a breakfast recommendation from the guest book (Forage Market, yum!), a tasty experience indeed. Thanks again, Meghan!

This was our second year staying at Don’s and it was great as always! Beautiful space, clean, updated, and well stocked kitchen/linens. Location to the beach can’t be beat and all the beach things you’d need are available for use. Don and Sue are both wonderful and we look forward to future stays.

I can't say enough about this sweet cottage. This was my first airbnb experience and I absolutely loved it. Andrew is a very accomodating host. He was always available when I had a question. The cottage is in a perfect location to enjoy walks in nature or to stay in on cozy days to work on a puzzle or read. The cottage is welcoming, clean, well stocked with supplies and so comfortable. I truly didn't want to leave.

My family and I had a wonderful visit at Tall Pines. We enjoyed meeting and getting to know Tom and Judy. They were lovely people that cared about the comfort of their guests! We were greeted with fresh blueberry muffins and fruit, as well as tons of local restaurant advice. It was so fun learning the history of their special cottage and seeing the family memorabilia from several generations all over. The cottage was stocked with everything you could need (toys, beach gear, wagons, blow dryers, etc) to enjoy your stay. We loved having coffee on the screened-in porch facing the woods and enjoyed the beach (which was a short walk away)! Judy ended the stay with a special handmade surprise, which was lovely! We definitely plan to come back again in the future!

Lori’s place was very cozy and a great screened in back porch. Perfect for morning coffee while taking in the scenery. Easily walkable to downtown and restaurants and right down the street from the beach. Nicely located for all things. We rented a car on our stay and travelled to Portland, Portsmouth NH and then close by towns to Kennebunk. All under an hours drive. We enjoyed our stay at Lori’s place.

Heather’s place was by far the most well maintained and clean Airbnb our family has ever stayed in. She was responsive and kind with all our needs. The pool was conveniently located right across the road and a beautiful place to spend the warmer day. Walking to the OOB trolly, seafood restaurants and the best ice cream place we’ve visited yet. We look forward to making Heather’s place and a trip to the Maine coast an annual family vacation.

The house was comfortable and clean. The pool was pristine! It really made the stay. Having the shaded porch for the adults to watch the pool made a huger difference as well. The walk to and especially from the beach was a bit too far/steep for the 7yr old and 70yr old in our group, but that was expected and we were able to easily find parking when we drove.

Beautiful little neighborhood! Loved the front porch to sit and drink coffee. Beds were comfortable. It was clean and very accurate descriptions. Close to highway to go to all the attractions.

We used this place and extra sleeping space for our large group. Good location and worked for our family.

It was exactly as the pictures on the website. I reached out to Linda prior to leaving. She was very responsive answered all my questions. Great memories made with the family this week. Would definitely come back again. The ease of getting in and out of old Orchard Beach was great. Was only a 3-4 min drive to the beach. The pool there was a huge hit with the grandkids as the ocean in Maine is never really that warm.

Amanda, thank you for a great stay! The house was spotless, the mattresses were firm and comfy, there were plenty of towels and pillows, and the house’s decor cool and soothing. Close to the beach, very close to a (residents & guests only) inground pool, close to yummy seafood, and plenty of parking next to the house. We loved staying here and would stay again in a heartbeat. The only thing I would add is a couple of chairs to sit around the fire pit on the back deck. Deanmarie has a beautiful cottage. Great furnishings and beautiful decor, and everything we could possibly need! She is truly a super host. We would highly recommend her cottage !

We loved everything about our stay. The house is in such a convenient location, a quick drive to grocery stores and downtown Bath, and also convenient to the Maine Maritime Museum, Popham Beach, and more. The house is lovely with lots of space and everything you could need for a relaxing and fun time. Most importantly, the barn is amazing- such a unique space for enjoying a cocktail, watching the fog on the Kennebec, playing corn hole, or watching a movie on the projector screen. Wonderful all around!

The place was super clean and an easy walk to the pier/downtown OOB. Across the street is quick beach access and a breakfast cafe that was fast; had good food and prices. Sarem responded quickly to any questions we had. Parking is narrow but we fit 3 compact cars nose to tail. If you don’t bring your own pillow, the beds already have 4 pillows with shams on them. If you have other needs reach out to Sarem and she’ll be happy to help! I definitely look forwards to booking again for a girls weekend!

Beautiful house on the pond! Perfect for our family of 4. It was comfortable and relaxing. Amy is a wonderful host! She checked in and made sure we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay! Hoping to stay again sometime.

Beds were super comfortable. We had to use the AC one day and it worked really well. Enjoyed most meals on the back deck, and the kitchen was super well equipped for all the cooking we did.

Jon’s space was very clean, private, and presented a “wow” factor in every direction I turned. Very well thought out; a truly transformative experience!

Grandy’s Place was an absolutely lovely stay! The proximity to the beach could not be beat. We came in the Fall, when all of Old Orchard Beach was shut down for the season, so, we really had the whole town and beach to ourselves, it felt like! The house was great, clean, and had everything you could want or need. Clear and pleasant communications with Christine and Jim. I highly recommend Grandy’s Place, even in the off season!

We loved our family stay at this beautiful cottage! The view out those huge windows is beyond incredible! We loved walking the neighborhood because the homes and their gardens were all stunning. The cottage was super comfortable, clean and well stocked! We enjoyed many of Holly’s recommendations with dining, shops, beaches, hikes, and all greatly added to our memories of this trip. Thank you for the firewood! We enjoyed sitting out there, bird watching and watching the tide come in. It is rare days I get to have my family together so this trip meant a lot to me and this beautiful place made it unforgettable for us! That VIEW!!! Thank you, Holly!

This home was clean and tidy and exactly as described. It's quiet yet close to dining and attractions.....and great view of the water! Cassandra was a great host! Responded quickly and everything about the stay was so nice!
