Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Port Melbourne

After a rough start with the cleaner not having turned up James was able to fix this quickly and had us in the property as quickly as he could. His communication was exceptional and we’d love to stay again

A stay in Maple Cottage feels like a warm hug. What stood out most for us was the immediate ambience of coming home, on arrival. It was very easy to relax in the comfort of this clean, cosy space, situated in a quiet neighbourhood very conveniently located to amenities. Attention to detail in the décor and the interior design skills of whoever has decorated Maple cottage, have achieved a very good balance of function, simplicity and quality in this lovely home. Thank you Nancy for your quick responses and ease of communication. I would love to stay in Maple Cottage again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mister Montague. The property itself is beautifully renovated, and has been furnished and equipped to a high standard. We were especially impressed by the kitchen, which has pretty much everything you could possibly need, making it very much a home away from home. Kim herself was a great host - responsive to questions and very thoughtful and generous about accommodating the needs of our young family. The location is very convenient for South Melbourne Market and just a short tram ride away from Melbourne’s main attractions. We would definitely love to stay here again!

Really enjoyed our stay – the house is beautifully styled, in a great neighborhood, and easy to find with accessible parking. It’s a cozy, welcoming space that’s clearly well looked after. Just a heads up: the 2 bedrooms in the main house don’t have AC, so if you're sensitive to temperature, it might be worth considering the season before booking - there is AC in the main living area, but it's at the other end of the house. It was unseasonably warm in Melbourne during our stay, but we got through it alright. Kali was a fantastic host – super responsive and friendly, and since she lives next door, she was always around if we needed anything. Would happily stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was beautiful, very peaceful and quiet while also being close to transport and shops/restaurants. We really enjoyed the fireplace and spa tub. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Naomi was a great host and communicator.

What a beautiful place to stay for our girls weekend to Melbourne - easy walking distance to the South Melbourne Markets, & Southbank precincts. The house was beautifully clean - thank you to Charlotte for being a fabulous host.

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah and Matt’s beautiful cottage near the Yarra Valley. Even though it was raining during our visit, the stunning views from the cottage more than made up for it — it was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The cottage was cosy, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay — a clean bathroom, washer and dryer, Netflix, and even a Nespresso machine for our morning coffee. Sarah was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special highlight for my son was getting to meet their adorable family pony, Little Penny — such a sweet touch that made our stay even more memorable. We truly appreciated the tranquility of the surroundings and would highly recommend this lovely spot to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Loved my stay here! The apartment was super clean, beautifully decorated, and felt really welcoming. The host was very proactive and easy to communicate with, which made everything so smooth. The location was perfect too as its in a lively area with heaps to do and so many options for places to eat. Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better spot. Would 100% stay again!

Loved our stay! The apartment was very quiet and comfortable. Location superb with a wide choice of quality restaurants, parks and shopping and all walkable. We loved the Hotel Gitan a delicious spot for either lunch or dinner.

The apartment is located in downtown Melbourne, in a very new high rise and was impeccably clean. There is a small IGA a few doors down and some good bars and restaurants close by, as well as only 2 blocks from the Southern Cross station and the river. Although it is relatively sparsely furnished, it has everything that we needed for a short break, and the gym in the building is much better than most hotel gyms. Chris was very responsive and allowed us to leave our luggage because our flight arrived in Melbourne early. Although it didn't impact us because we were out an about for most of the day, there is no TV (but a piano if you are musically inclined) and while the bed was comfortable, it was like a futon on the floor, so it may not be ideal for older people with mobility issues. The price was amazing for such a nice apartment on a high floor in central Melbourne, and I would definitely recommend the apartment.

Perfect location. The place was beautiful and exactly as described. Very comfortable bed. Communication with hosts was quick and friendly and very clear instructions. I would highly recommend and will definitely stay again in the future.

Our 9 day stay at Paul & Dan's place was excellent. The check in process was smooth and the appartment had a homely atmosphere. We needed an appartment which was spacious, as we have two busy toddlers, and this appartment fitted that requirement perfectly. The appartment was spotless and had amazing views. The building has a variety of amenities that are easily accessible. The infinity pool on the 9th floor kept the toddlers busy for hours. The parking space accommodated an 8 seater vehicle, which was great because not many parking spots in Melbourne can do so. Overall, this booking exceeded all of our requirements. Lastly, about the hosts, Paul, Dan & their teams interactions with us were smooth, friendly and accurate. Should the need arise, I would def book one of their listings again. House was big & spacious. Enough room for all of us. It was in nice & quiet neighbourhood. Good 25 minutes ride to city. Good host.

Heritage Retreat’s property was amazing. Can fit so many people and although we loved our stay in the middle of winter, this property can be so enjoyable in the summer. Great and responsive staff. Highly recommend!

Very quiet

We had a great weekend away at Chelos place located in a nice historic part of Richmond within walking distance of everything. Accomodation was cosy and Hosts are fun to chat to and very helpful. Chelo is also a good source of knowledge for anybody interested in European fashion design !

The place is nice. Matches the description. Beautiful house. Peter and Jennette were generous when I requested for post midnight check in. Recommended.

Wonderful central property for family group to stay in. Very comfortable and homely for all ages. Encouraged informal catch ups in spacious areas available. Easy to get around with car spaces plus very close to public transport. Brenda was responsive and helpful.

We absolutely loved staying at Mark’s fantastic house! It’s a beautiful property, and larger than it seems in the photos. It’s also very well equipped, and with the crazy Melbourne weather kept us warm with the heating and cool with the aircon. Our pup really enjoyed her time there, too! The pool is also fantastic, and the decked area great for chilling out. We would love to stay again in future!
