Vacation rentals in Pontesbury

Kristy’s partner gave us a helpful hand by phone to find them. We’d been walking Offa’s Dyke all day. He was also considerate, apologising for lawn mowing, which didn’t bother us. The Airbnb is absolutely beautiful: tall and airy and appears brand new. Immaculate kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, with outdoor seating. Lovely comfortable bed, beautiful towels and bed linen. Wonderful wildlife visible from the window: rabbits, chaffinches… Just a little noise from passing vehicles at night/ hardly a problem. A perfect stop over for us!

We had such a wonderful stay here, absolute tranquility. Comfy bed, great shower, lovely kitchen and views. Photos don't do the cottage justice! We'd love to come back 😊

Silvie's Cottage is a true delight! Welcoming, extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean and feels like a home from home with lots of extra touches. Off road parking in a lovely residential street which is only a short stroll into Church Stretton and a choice of walks straight from the door with no need to use a car. The garden is lovely and adds to the overall atmosphere of a warm welcoming cottage. We loved our few days stay, would highly recommend and plan to return again....hopefully soon! We were so pleased to find this gem for a last minute night away - we wish we could have stayed longer! The hut has everything you could possibly need (we were particularly impressed by the DVD collection!!) It was very clean and the decor made it extra cosy. We especially LOVED feeding the cute donkeys and stargazing in the hot tub - the views are just incredible. Nicola was a lovely host making sure we had all the information we needed, wishing us a safe journey and left us some goodies for our stay!! Thank you so much for having us 🤍

This was such a peaceful place to stay for a long weekend! The lodge is spacious with a well equipped kitchen, comfy seating area and large veranda. As it's the end of the run it felt private and the view of trees and sound of birdsong was very relaxing. Just what we needed!

What an absolute gem!! The location of the lodge is fantastic, beautifully peaceful countryside with only the birds and local farm animals in sight and earshot. The photos really do not do it justice, the feel inside is super cosy and well equipped. Outside is on another level - the views over the fields, private hot tub and sauna as well as various different seating areas make it stand out. We had planned to walk to the local pub but we were having such a relaxing time we decided not to leave at all! We had asked for the hot tub to be warmed for when we got there, the only thing I will say is bring your fire making abilities with you as you'll need them! Michelle was a great host, she was very responsive both prior to the stay and during, and met us there to let us in, nothing was too much trouble. The return trip is already in discussions!

So quite and tranquil, perfect break away

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Mary's place! The cottage is just as described and in a beautiful and peaceful location. All of the instructions Mary provided were easy to follow, and while we didn't meet in person, Mary was communicative and available if needs be. We hope to return again soon!

Brilliant place for a re set if thats what your looking for as we were. Outdoor bath was amazing, views beautiful, canin really cute and comfy. Firepit was lovely too. The other 4 cabins are closeby but you do manage to get your privacy. Dont hesitate its fab!!
