Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Ponta do Sol

Stayed a week and we wished it was longer! The house really fits the description, surrounded by banana trees we could also see and hear the waterfalls from the cliffs and the ocean from below. It was so idyllic! We were so worried about it being cold but the house is well insulated, it was almost too warm in the night. We also had no issue at all with mosquitoes and spent some nice breakfasts and dinners on the terrace. The hosts were also as great as the accommodation! We were directly met with some fresh bananas. The rest of the week they were incredibly helpful whenever we encountered any issues, even if it wasn’t a question related to the house. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, even offered some extra blankets and a heater that we didn’t need in the end! The street leading to the accommodation is indeed steep, we’d recommend a smaller rental car but with a good amount of horse power still. Nonetheless the way up to this gem is absolutely worth it!

Tivemos umas férias maravilhosas na Casa da Janela! A casa é linda, muito acolhedora e perfeita para momentos em família. Estava impecavelmente limpa, bem equipada e cheia de pequenos detalhes que nos fizeram sentir verdadeiramente em casa. A paisagem é simplesmente relaxante — com uma vista deslumbrante para a montanha e para o mar. O barulho suave das ondas e o sossego absoluto foram o cenário perfeito para recarregar energias. A localização é excelente: isolada o suficiente para garantir tranquilidade total, mas perto de tudo o que precisávamos. Um grande obrigado aos anfitriões, que foram sempre atenciosos e disponíveis.

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft mit 2 Schlafzimmern, einem Bad und einer Küche/Wohnzimmer.

We had a wonderful 2 days stay at the house. outside has lots of nice seating areas, perfect place to eat breakfast and dinner. The kitchen has every supply that we needed to cook. Overall a great house to stay.

Das Haus ist ein altes Bauernhaus und sehr geräumig. Statt Fenster haben einige Zimmer Türen nach draußen. Sehr schön ist der Wintergarten, in dem man auch bei weniger gutem Wetter sitzen und den herrlichen Blick genießen kann. Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet. Uns hat manchmal der Verkehr am Haus vorbei gestört. Wir wurden herzlich mit Obst und Madeirawein empfangen. Vielen Dank an Emanuel für die freundliche Begleitung und die guten Empfehlungen. Ich kann das Haus nur empfehlen!

One of our best AirBnBs ever. Exactly as advertise, Sofia's place is large, comfortable and beautifully situated. Jardim do Mar is our favourite spot on our favorite island. Would return to Sofia's place again and again - unfortunately next year renovation is planned but the current house is wonderful. Sofia is extremely helpful and responsive - I don't remember ever waiting more than 15 mins for a response. Our 5 weeks stay flew by. Highest level of recommendation.

Beautiful house! Amazing host, Paula makes sure everything is great. She even dropped by in the evening to bring new sheets when our baby threw up on our bed. Too sweet. Also the communication with her was the best ever. Big pool, great garden to have morning coffee in the sun, lovely village on walking distance. Good to know that the water pressure of the showers are a bit low, we were able to get a good shower anyway. Paula is super flexible, we were allowed to stay in the house until our flight left that day because there was not a guest coming that day or the next. All in all we would recommend Paula’s place 1000%.

A property set in a stunning location, the views of Funchal were amazing. The property has a private pool within spacious grounds. The house is well equipped with everything a family needs, particularly the kitchen. Carlota and Babi were easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any correspondence.

un grand merci à Ana pour son accueil, sa gentillesse ! Le logement est très bien situé pour visiter l'ouest de l'île et ses merveilles !! Le logement est vraiment très propre, vraiment rien à redire ! c'était parfait ! il y a de l'espace avec une belle cuisine et une vue sur le couché de soleil magnifique !! Nous avons profité de la piscine chauffée à l'eau salée, un vrai régal ! Encore un grand merci pour ce beau séjour et pour votre accueil, vos attentions et votre générosité !!

Rundum schön, hier kann man in zentraler Lage dennoch gut zur Ruhe kommen. Das Appartement ist gemütlich und man kann es sehr gut dort aushalten. Wir waren viel in der Umgebung wandern und sind gegen Abend zu Fuß in die Stadt gegangen. Die Gegend ist sehr ruhig, wenig Autoverkehr. Eine klare Empfehlung - wir würden es uneingeschränkt wieder buchen.

The property easily lives up to the description and the pictures. The houses are fully equipped, very nicely decorated and comfortable. The swimming pools offer stunning unobstructed views of the ocean during the day and of the sky at night. There are no road noises, the place is truly calm. Grocery stores are a few minutes away by car, as are restaurants. Numerous hikes can be found in the region. The host is very reactive and will provide many recommandations related to restaurants and activities. Renting both houses to two families is a great way to spend time together while also having some privacy. I would go back there without any hesitation.

Claudia und Sergio sind tolle Gastgeber. Freundlich, direkt, interessiert, sorgend. Sehr zu empfehlen. Kurvige Anfahrt ist madeiratypisch. :-)

O espaço corresponde ao anunciado, equipado com tudo o que precisa caso opte por cozinhar no apartamento, o que não foi o meu caso. A anfitriã é muito prestável e até sugere locais para se visitar ao jantar. O melhor mesmo é a vista do apartamento sobre a baía do Funchal, com uma vista para o nascer do sol que é fantástica.

Wir haben eine Woche in dieser wunderschönen Wohnung verbracht. Die Lageitten in Camara de Lobos und die Ausstattung waren großartig. Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Ganz besonders haben wir die Aussicht aus allen drei Wohnräumen und den Balkon, der eigentlich eine Terrasse ist, genossen. Dieser Ausblick ist noch schöner als auf den Fotos! Der Garagenstellplatz ist super, wir haben es sehr genossen, nach dem Wandern nicht mehr auf die Suche nach einem Parkplatz suchen zu müssen. Camara de Lobos ist ein quirliger Ort mit vielen Restaurants, Bäcker und Supermarkt. Der Kontakt mit Catherine war bestens. Wir konnten früher in die Wohnung, der Self-Check-in hat reibungslos funktioniert. Auch wenn sie nicht Vorort anwesend war, hat sie uns das Gefühl gegeben, stets erreichbar zu sein.

Ótimo espaço com uma excelente vista e uma boa localização. Muito fiel às imagens do anúncio. O único aspeto que creio que podia melhorar é a roupa de cama.

I’ve stayed at many Airbnbs and Pedro is the #1 host, hands down. He was friendly, accommodating, easy to communicate with and held high integrity. There was some construction with one of the units (which was beyond Pedro’s control) and he was genuinely concerned if it affected us (it did not take away from our wonderful experience!) The bright decor, comfortable space and the sounds of the ocean make this place the go to stay in Madeira. Would happily go back our next visit to Madeira!

Très belle location, rien à redire, tout est très bien et propre. Nous recommandons. Nous n'avons pu dialoguer avec le propriétaire que par internet et boites a clés. La proximité de l'aéroport se fait bien entendre de 8h le matin à 23h00.

Estivemos hospedados 9 dias nesta casa maravilhosa. Não há nada a apontar. A Lina foi muito atenciosa e respondia com rapidez as nossas dúvidas. A casa tem excelentes condições e espaços amplos. Aconselho muito este alojamento

Cais Dos Anjos is everything you have dreamed of. It is private and secluded. You feel like you have the whole ocean and surrounding beach to yourself. We could not wait to get back to this little slice of heaven after our daily adventures. You will never regret doing the 286 steps!

The accommodation was ideal for a vacation in Funchal, with many restaurants and cafes fairly close by. We had not appreciated how steep the hill is when walking up from the old town, but managed the walk virtually every day during our 3 week stay. Prospective visitors would be well advised to make use of taxis (costing around €6 from the town centre to the property) or check out the Number 22 bus which runs from town to a stop outside the property. Had we looked at the bus details earlier, we might have saved ourselves some hill climbing. We watched the New Year fireworks from the road outside and would really recommend this fantastic experience to others. Carina is a very considerate and supportive host and was always quick to help, whenever asked.

Die Unterkunft Casa Jean bei Andrea und Jens ist ein zauberhaftes Holzhäuschen, sehr gut eingerichtet und mit einer fantastischen Aussicht auf das Meer und davor eine Bananenplantage. 
Dank der abgelegenen Lage konnten wir der etwas hektischen Umgebung z.B. von Funchal sehr gut entfliehen und die Ruhe vor und in dem Häuschen sehr genießen. Gleichzeitig ist man in kurzer Zeit mit dem Auto an den verschiedenen Ortern der Insel, mit ganz unterschiedlichen Wanderungen und Erlebnissen. Die Gastgeber Andrea und Jens haben uns gute Tips gegeben und uns mit kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten sehr nett empfangen. Wir können dieses Juwel sehr weiterempfehlen und werden sehr gerne wiederkommen!

Dom Ryszarda jest piękny i bardzo komfortowy znajduje się w środku prze pięknie utrzymanego godło na kilku poziomach. Wszystko sprawia wrażenie tajemniczego Tajemniczego ogrodu z bajki. If you're looking for a quiet area to get away from the crowds in the cities this is a wonderful place. It's nestled in the mountain valleys near Ponta do Prago but quite near the ocean. We loved our 6 day stay at Frederica 's. She provided good, clear instructions to get there. She also gave us very useful information on local attractions, restaurants and supermarkets. The house is on a very steep pitched road so walking up and down it can be a challenge ( we are in our 70's ) We did it a few times. There is a walk from her house to the waterfalls . It took us about 2 hrs. Rnd-trip but it was well worth it. If we were to return we'd go back in April or later.

Le logement est excellent. il est très bien équipé (serviettes supplémentaires, congélateur, tous les ustensiles pour cuisiner de l'assaisonnement à la cuisson, conservation, machine à laver avec lessive, étendoir à linge ext, table ext avec transat, télé, jeux de société) tout y était comme à la maison ! nous avons apprécié la présence la minette. environnement très calme à la campagne et sécurisé avec une belle vue. Le parking à disposition privé est un vrai plus ! les hôtes sont très réactifs en cas de problème, et plein de belles attentions à l'arrivée ! les seuls points négatifs restent l'humidité du logement assez présente (attention aux vetements) et le manque de chauffage en période fraîche. Nous reviendrons ici c'est certain ! merci pour tout !
