Monthly Rentals in Playa Bluff

The Jungle House at Playa Bluff was a great getaway destination for our 2 families, with 4 adults and 6 children, ages 4-11. The pool was great and the sleeping arrangements worked well for us. There is a decent kitchen, but we mostly ate at nearby restaurants or on our daily adventures. The house is about a 25 min taxi ride from the main town and the road can get soupy, but any of the truck taxis can easily get to the house. The beach is stunning, although not great for swimming with rip tides and currents. The host was super responsive to all questions and I would highly recommend this house. We even saw sloths and monkeys right around the house.

Nicole’s casita is simply heaven on earth. I will struggle to find the words to describe how perfect and beautiful this place is. Set just off the beach (less than a minute’s walk), we were nestled in a stunningly built wooden cabin in a jungle garden, surrounded by the sounds and life of the forest. We had a resident gecko, and woke to birds and monkeys as the sun rose. The facilities here were perfect for a couple - with a large bed and comfortable living room area, and the decor is tasteful and charming (think artist’s retreat). Nicole was super friendly and so helpful with our questions. Her arrival instructions were the best I’ve seen on airbnb, and her handbook was so helpful too. As an airbnb host myself, I hold this in high regard and see this as a true 5 star stay. Thank you Nicole 😍😘

I just finished a month long stay at Allison and Sergio’s rental. The home was exactly as described, very clean and had everything available you may need-pots, pans, toiletries, etc. The downstairs area is open air, which makes you feel you are a part of the lovely surroundings. I saw beautiful birds and one day some monkeys in the trees near the balcony upstairs. I was worried about bugs in the downstairs space but there are fans, which helps and never felt like a big issue. This is also a great spot, outside the business of town but close enough to get there quickly for dinner/groceries. I rented a scooter for the month and this was a great way to get around. Also, having air conditioning made my stay very comfortable. Finally, one of the best part of the stay was meeting Allison and Sergio. They were so friendly, helpful and gave privacy despite being nearby. They are lovely and wonderful to deal with. Don’t hesitate to stay here. I was thrilled with my choice!

Britta and Alex place is a little gem in the jungle. Yet, just a few meters to a very nice beach. Bluff beach is not really swimmable but extremely beautiful to walk. The trail behind the beach is you plenty of chance to spot wild life. We saw sloths (with baby) hauler monkeys and beautiful birds. Tukans and others are resident on the island. And not to forget the red frogs everywhere. The accommodations are very nice. Clean and everything you may need. The hosts are very responsive and will accommodate with anything if possible. Gracious hosts that make you feel at home. Place is very private. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was delicious!! Nice restaurants within walking distance. Take the guided frog tour while there, very interesting. Nice place to be away from hectic life. Will come again.
