Vacation rentals with beach access in Platanes, Rethymno

We had a really great, relaxing time at the apartment from Stavros. We enjoyed nice evenings on the big terrace and being able to walk along the seaside to the old part of Rethymno in just 15minutes. We also really liked the location of the apartment around the corner from the beach, the supermarket downstairs and the bus stop down the street. Stavros gave us a very friendly welcome and even recommended great spots for food and activities.

Ons verblijf bij dit appartement was top. Een fijne host met duidelijk en snelle communicatie. Niet alleen mogelijk om een eerdere check-in te krijgen, maar ook een fijne prive-parkeerplek met slagboom. Ook een betrokken host; tijdens ons verblijf was er sprake van een hevige aardbeving waarna we gelijk van de host een bericht kregen of alles goed met ons ging. Een paar dagen later hadden we een zandstorm waardoor er geen waterdruk meer was. Na een kort bericht reageerde hij snel en kwam met oplossingen. Appartement is goed verzorgd, netjes en modern ingericht. Locatie is top, dicht bij gezellige restaurants, cafe, strand en supermarkt. Op loopafstand van het oude centrum.

Retro Gaming Paradise – A Perfect Stay! We had an amazing time at this apartment! The place was a nostalgic dream for any retro gaming fan—fully stocked with classic consoles like the N64, Dreamcast, Game Boys, and more! along with a great selection of games. It was the perfect setup to unwind and relive some childhood favorites. The space itself was beautifully designed—clean, cozy, and super aesthetic, with thoughtful touches that really gave it character. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we slept like babies each night. The location was also ideal—close to everything - center , food places, shops, beach , with easy access to local attractions. On top of all that, George is a fantastic host : friendly, responsive, and full of excellent local recommendations that really added to the experience!! Highly recommend this spot for gamers or anyone looking for a unique and comfortable stay!

Great location, very short walk to the port, beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. The host was extremely responsive and always willing to help make our stay comfortable! Apartment was very clean and the jacuzzi is a great feature. Multiple cafe’s/bars just downstairs with great food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend staying at this property if you want to be close to the venetian port and all Chania has to offer.

Très bel appartement spacieux, propre et beaucoup d équipements, avec un grand balcon et un parking. Il est très bien situé, face à la mer, et à 10 mn à pieds de la vieille ville. Supérette et restaurant à moins de 5 mn à pieds. Il y a plusieurs petites plages très paisibles à l est et à l ouest à 5 mn. Bref, tout pour un séjour réussi.

Die Unterkunft ist etwas besonderes. Sie ist sehr individuell und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es war ein toller Tagesabschluss, die Abende auf den Terrassen ausklingen zu lassen und den Ausblick auf Meer und Stadt zu genießen.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Es ist eine sehr ruhige Umgebung. Wer gern für sich ist und weg vom Tourismus will ist hier genau richtig. Die Unterkunft war sauber und absolut ausreichend. Der Whirlpool war unser Highlight.

Would love to come back and stay at 7 Olives again. Each apartment has a stunning view from their balcony. All the guests were quiet and respectful. Two super comfy pillows for each of us which we didn’t find anywhere else on our trip to Europe. The mattress was also very comfortable. And Alex was by far my favorite Greek kitty we met.

This was the best Airbnb we've stayed at. Lovely village with restaurants, a bakery and markets for most of what you'd need. On arrival the house had been generously stocked with more than we expected. Argiro and her family were very kind and helpful. Definitely recommend Iro House. Thanks so much Argiro, we will be back!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Die Lage ist ruhig und bietet einen tollen Blick aufs Meer – perfekt, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Vermieter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben den Aufenthalt angenehm gestaltet. Alles in allem ein schönes Haus für einen entspannten Urlaub am Strand.

Desiree was an impeccable accommodation. The place was everything we could have dreamed of and more…location, decor & special touches were top notch. The host Maria was responsive, and her helper Manousos was the nicest man who met us to provide the keys and showed us the place. We loved that this place also comes with parking. Maria’s mom had put together 3 containers of her chicken and potatoes for my family upon arrival. We were also treated with a bottle of wine, snacks, fruits, and bottled water. A water gun was left for our son. We would definitely stay again on our next visit to Chania.

Manos ist ein hervorragender Gastgeber. Er ist so hilfsbereit,nett und zuverlässig. Egal was dein Herz begehrt, Manos macht es möglich. Seine gesamte Familie, die in der gleichen Straße einen Shop haben und dort auch alle immer im Wechsel arbeiten, sind such so netz.Du fühlst dich wie zu Hause. Die Wohnung ist ein Traum insbesondere die Dachterrasse. Sie bietet wirklich alles an Annehmlichkeiten. Tolle Betten, voll ausgestattete Küche, Wasser, Obst, Marmelade, Butter und Zwieback, war für die Ankunft alles vorhanden. Eine unglaubliche Weinbar! Öle, Kräuter, Salz, Pfeffer, Kaffee stehen dem Gast kostenfrei zur Verfügung, sowie Toilettenpapier, Strandhandtücher etc. Alles da, was das Herz begehrt. Manos hilft bei allem, was man benötigt. Er antwortet schnell. Die Lage ist super, nur sollte man sich evt. Ohropax mitnehmen, wenn man im Sommer kommt und die Fenster nachts offen lassen möchte. Ist halt Altstadt und viel los. Klimaanlage gibt es aber auch. Es war eine tolle Zeit.

Absolutely loved this airbnb. Small deck overlooking the Chania Bay lighthouse and all the restaurants surrounding the bay. Airbnb at end and had a great restaurant (with blue chairs) that had great food. Beds were comfortable and back bedroom was very quiet as well. The owner met us at check-in and explained everything. Top deck was very nice to sit, my husband actually pulled out his laptop and worked on the table for awhile. He was in heaven. But we enjoyed sitting on small deck off living space too. Husband and myself w our two young adult children loved that we were so close to everything. Do not hesitate to book this airbnb.

Nous avons passé un très très bon séjour et un moment magnifique dans ce logement authentique et fort agréable. Sûrement grâce à Cléopatra qui nous a accueilli de façon exceptionnelle, empathique, généreuse et pleine de bienveillance, elle a eu toujours le souci de nous satisfaire. À recommander sans hésitation.

First of all, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely host, Niki, who showed us around and gave us great recommendations. The apartment itself was exactly as we expected from the photos — cozy, beautiful, and spotless. Everything smelled fresh and clean. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Each room was equipped with air conditioning, and the beds were very comfortable. The views from the balconies were wonderful — it was a pleasure to sit outside in the evenings and watch the lively street life below. The apartment is located in the center of Rethymno, with everything within a 5-minute walking distance. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but it’s possible to find a spot about a 5-minute walk away. We would happily come back again!

If you wish to experience a secluded garden by a non-travelled beach, almost like your own access to the sea, that is the place. A very good taverna is few meters away. Nothing best to let stress, driving, movida and consumerism behind one's shoulders for some days. Dimitri and his family have created a heaven of peace and a beautiful garden. The holiday-house from their parents is still decorated like in the 80s, but all the essentials are there. The generous welcoming, with a large basket of fruit, olive oil and salad from the herb garden, complete the feeling of coming home. Efkaristò! Many thanks! Rossella

This is absolutely our favorite Airbnb that we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). The place is adorable. Katerina is very responsive and lives right by the apartment. The view is wonderful, and both the living room and twin bedroom have doors that open onto that view. It has everything you need and more, with Katerina providing treats and even cereal and milk for that first morning. The air conditioning worked well, but there is also a lovely breeze from the sea. There are tons of restaurants and cafes just below the apartment as well as with 5 and 10 minutes walk in Old Town. It would be comfortable for a couple and a third person (such as a child) or two people, each with their own room. The washing machine was great to have, and you can dry clothes on the lines off the balcony. We did not want to leave.

10/10 Eleni is so sweet and helpful dont be afraid to text her for ANY support. The only thing I would say is if u struggle with stairs this may not be the best for you as it at the top of a hill that u need stairs for walking. If u have a car though that wont be an issue for you :)

we had a very pleasant stay at the artists penthouse! It was exactly as beautiful in the pictures, and the views are absolutely amazing. The place was beyond comfortable and felt like home. Our host was incredibly responsive, checked in with us regularly to make sure everything was okay, and that we enjoyed ourselves. truly, highly recommend staying here. A large group or family would be very comfortable here. We had many great dinners on the balcony- plus, only a 4 minute walk to the beach with a lot of local restaurants. 5/5!

A lovely clean place newly equipped with furniture, v comfy bed mattress and a lovely new bathroom with a shower. Lovely balcony with a table and two chairs where you can enjoy the coffee. Close to the sea but this location doesn’t face the sea. Walkable distances close to the old town, many restaurants and supermarkets nearby. V good transportation bus stop close enable to visit other places/seaside. It was worth the money paid for accommodation. Last and not least, the communication with manager Stavros was outstanding . Thank you for the lovely holiday!

This Airbnb is just like the photos and worth the distance from Old Town (about 0.4 miles). The terrace wraps around the entire flat and has many seating options in sunshine and in shade. It’s surrounded by beautiful, well-cared for plants with a stunning view of the Sea of Crete and of Chania itself. You can take the stairs or there is an elevator. The hostess left some local treats for us as well as a lovely bouquet of flowers! Absolutely top notch! There is also air conditioning if the fresh air is too warm. The hostess was friendly and responsive. This was the best of 4 Airbnb’s we stayed in throughout Europe. The only thing to note is that the electricity is only on when the card is in the holder by the door. So, if you leave with the dryer or dishwasher running or charging devices, they will pause until you return.

Anna was a super helpful host. We worked from her place for a week. The apartment was perfect for what we needed. It’s only a short walk into town - which is very charming. The beach across the road has crystal clear water - even if there is some debris on the sand. The road is a bit noisy - but the doors keep out the noise. Anna’s place is spacious and very well appointed with everything you could need. Thanks to Anna for the late check out as well!

Un piso amplio, muy bien decorado, luminoso, con unas vistas preciosas, muy bien situado, el ruido del mar nos acunó por las noches. La terraza preciosa para tomar el desayuno o cenar. The apartment’s large balcony & location at the quiet end of the Venetian Harbour in Chania old town, was perfect for relaxing and exploring the labyrinthine little alleyways of the old town of Chania. I started and ended the day sitting on the balcony, watching sensational sunsets, the quiet chatter of people in the restaurant below and the mooring and unmooring of boats in the harbour! Christina, my main contact, was outstanding in her responsiveness and assistance in ordering a taxi etc. I would definitely stay here again!
