Vacation rentals with beach access in Platanes, Rethymno

I really enjoyed my two nights in this apartment. It felt like home and the host could not have been nicer. He offered local recommendations and even offered a late check-out since it was off season. The apartment is a block from the beach, very comfortable, and has anything you would need. It's a 15-20 minute walk into old town, but plenty nearby for food or necessities.

Just left Chania yesterday 19/09/24 , we stayed one week on Aggeliki’s apartment, We are very lucky to choose this place as it was the best area in Chania , the apartment was very clean with everything you need, close to best sandy beach there , close to old town & harbour, super markets, restaurants ….Very good beds. Everything spotless, Aggeliki the best host , very kind & helpful. We had a great time, nice weather, hope to go there again.

This was our first time in with them know, and we were somewhat sold on Stratos offering because of it being a Seaview apartment. It was right across from the beach. It was well appointed clean modern two doors opening to the balcony that faced the ocean, a wonderful Nespresso machine with coffeejust great and Stratos met us when we checked in. We got to meet him in person. It was just a great overall experience.

Perfect location, very easy walk to everything. If you rent a car, there are plenty of parking spots very close to the apartment. Stelios was very nice. Would stay here again!!

Nice apartment, well located close to the beach and within walking distance to the old town. Some noise from the street, but not disturbing. Nice view from balcony.

Sandgate is in a lovely location, quiet yet close to restaurants, cafes, shops and town! The apartment is large and comfortable with a great terrace overlooking the sea. Communications were excellent!

What an amazing place! Ioannis has thought about everything you could ever need and it is there!! Every thing was immaculate, beautiful white linen, beach towels, the best kitchen ever. Ioannis very thoughtfully had provided large bottles of water and fresh fruit in the fridge which I thought was wonderful. We had a problem on arrival which was sorted so quickly, thank you Ioannis! We have been to many Airb&bs and this was the best. So near the sea and fantastic restaurants, i miss the wonderful food! Thank you so much for our wonderful stay

Niki is a lovely host, happy to help with anything and very friendly. The home is nice, cool during the hot days and in good location near the beach and supermarket. I would stay there again!

We had a fantastic stay at Seaside Villa Lavrys. The villa itself is spacious, well-maintained, and located in a peaceful area with a lovely view. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, but do keep in mind that you’ll need a car to get around as the location is a bit remote. Taxi transportation from Chania costs around €30. What truly made our experience special was our host, Alex. From the moment we booked, Alex was incredibly responsive and attentive, always available to answer any questions we had. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay, offering great local tips and assistance whenever needed. His kindness and willingness to help made a huge difference in our trip. Alex’s family was also very warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly stay in Crete, and Alex’s hospitality made it even better.

Well-renovated apartment, very spacious and with every comfort available to guests. A beautiful terrace overlooking the sea where you can admire the sunset and a well-kept garden make it truly special. Vaia, Nikolas and the whole family immediately proved to be helpful and hospitable, we remember them with affection and sympathy.

Really lovely stay at Evangelia’s place— perfectly located to walk around the Old Town, and lots of parking near by to rent a car and travel to the nearby beaches. The place was immaculately clean, bed comfortable, and our host was very responsive and flexible. Her Recommendations page was super helpful during our stay. Would stay again!

Eleni & Michalis’s apartment was perfect! Very roomy and modern! Crete is huge, so their apartment was centrally located and easy to drive to all the beautiful beaches and important points of interest that tourists would love to see! The apartment is near some beautiful beaches and great great affordable restaurants to dine at!! I found Crete absolutely beautiful with so many things to do with all types of activities!! (something for everyone) Crete is very family oriented so lots of choices for children as well! Michalis & Eleni are very helpful and really easy to help you when you need it! Thank you me and my family had a wonderful time!!!

The villa is lovely and has everything you need for a holiday. Clean and well maintained. There was extra cleaning during the week. Great view of the sea and the mountains. The cars passing on the main road, which is 100m below the villa, create a slight noise, but it is not unbearable. Maria is a great host and despite the late evening time of arrival she was waiting for us with a smile. She took care of us all the time and gave us valuable advice. There was a problem with the dishwasher, which was fixed the next day as soon as I informed Maria. We had a great week and would come back again.

The host went above and beyond! The apartment was sparkling clean and we even had housekeeping service midway through our stay. The location was perfect! It was peaceful and quiet but one street away from a multitude of restaurants and shopping. Would definitely rent again!!

Argyri and her husband were the best hosts I've ever stayed with, and the apartment was absolutely flawless: excellent location, close to the old city, restaurants and the beach The apartment had absolutely all the facilities: there was nothing we needed and not exist in the home. Furnished modernly and with great taste, the apartment is bright and welcoming, with a large terrace where you can drink coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The hosts welcomed us with a cake, with fruits, wine and juices in the fridge, and upon departure they gave us local honey. Very friendly, they spent time with us and explained to us the best places to eat, what to visit around the city and in the city. it was everything I could have wished for and I can't wait to come back for a much longer period with my daughter. My boyfriend and I visited during Christmas time(2024). She had filled the apartment with Christmas lights and decorations, which after a long day of traveling, immediately put us in the holiday spirit. She was very easy to communicate with and after learning of my boyfriends love of pizza she provided us with a personalized list of the best pizzas around town. There was also a booklet in the apartment with a rundown of the city(history, restaurants, sightseeing, etc) which is helpful to anyone visiting from another country. Would definitely come back to Chania as well as this apartment! Thank you Katerina!

Chrisi is an excellent hostess! She was always helpful and always in a good mood and friendly. The apartment is perfect for excursions, but also perfect for the beach around the corner. In addition, there is everything you need to live and there is even a small bottle of Raki in the fridge to welcome you. We will come back here again!! Brigitte and Peter

I had a wonderful 12 day stay at the apartment. The location is great - just a few meters from the beach and still 15 minutes to the old town. Checking in with a key box and description was super easy. The host was always extremely responsive. And I mean really fast- I never waited more than a few minutes for a response. He helped me with all the questions and concerns and even lent me an umbrella and got me a yoga mat for my time. Really very helpful and always on site! The apartment is cozy. The bed is very comfortable (I always think that's important!). The sofa is a bit saggy - but it didn't bother me. The kitchen is quite well equipped. There is a real stove, toaster, kettle and microwave (which I didn't use). The balcony is large and you have sun in the morning until early afternoon. There is also a washing machine on the 2nd balcony!

We spent four very nice days here. The view is really beautiful and in 10 minutes you can walk to a supermarket. In front of the house you could park well.

This place cannot be faulted, excellent host, we wanted for nothing. Great location for centre of town, easy walking distance to amenities, would come back here again without hesitation

Thanks for the great stay. The apartment is very clean, well renovated, practically furnished, only 3 minutes from the beach, 20 minutes on the promenade to the old town and despite the location on a busy road quite quiet. Parking the rental car was also quite unproblematic. Free parking is available in the area. The balcony is a bit narrow and not so suitable for sitting outside (especially since it is also a bit noisy outside). All in all, a great stay.

We felt very comfortable in Casa Maria. The apartment is well equipped and the location is central. The beach and city are a few minutes' walk away. Water, fruit and a sweet snack were available on arrival. Maria was very hospitable and gave us good tips for restaurants and a beach nearby. We definitely recommend Casa Maria!
