Lovely home away from home. Very peaceful with no traffic or other noise. Great views, and the house is spacious for indoor and outside living. Julie was very helpful, offering local recommendations, quick to respond and even gave one of our children a lift when he got dropped off and had a long walk back to the house. All in all a great spot, the wildlife around the estate was a treat and within a short drive of some great pubs and restaurants. Can thoroughly recommend.

This is the most thoughtful host I have ever experienced. Do not go grocery shopping without checking in first… so many items were provided. I loved how close it is to a mall but is a full on farm barn experience. I am still intrigued by the place…

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience staying here. Nikki and Tom went above and beyond as air b&b hosts and truly made my experience amazing. When I landed in Durban, they picked me up from the airport and after learning that my luggage was stuck in Joburg, they took me to the store so that I could get some toiletries and food for the day. They were so patient and warm in every interaction that I had with them. When we lost water, they brought me a 5 liter jug and were extremely communicative any time we lost water or electricity. I was in Durban for two months and struggled to find people to travel with and they literally adopted me most weekends to hang out with them at their beach club. Regarding the air bnb itself, it was the perfect size for me. It is in the safest neighborhood with great restaurants and a bakery within walking distance! There's fiber internet and a washing machine. Loved this little cottage, love Nikki and Tom, and love Durban!!

My family and I were so struck by the beautiful home that Mark and his family have created. It oozed luxury and decadence. The spaces are huge and filled with such beautiful stuff. Sindy is amazing and she made us feel so welcome. Always ready to help if needed. We absolutely loved every minute of being there. Thanks Mark and family and Sindy too.

This is my second time staying here and it was absolutely amazing. The place still looks as beautiful as it did in 2022. The place is well looked after. The beds a VERY comfortable (I need the name please🙈). Overall sis Lulu’s place is worth every cent and I will definitely be going back again. Sis Lulu I know my toddler was a bet loud apologies for that 🙏🏾.

My stay wasn’t for the best of circumstances, but Kalven took the stress off by helping me book straight away. I was anxious about booking something close to family and getting my flights and needed it done quickly, he always responded quickly to my messages. The accommodation was perfect, really comfy bed, soft linen. So glad to have found an electric blanket in the cupboard when I was chilly. I was so thirsty when I arrived and there was water and cool drink in the fridge, just what I needed. My morning buddies enjoying coffee with me, the two sweetest doggies. Really a major bonus to my stay, they cheered me up in the mornings:)I would highly recommend staying here.

The place is amazing, the dogs are friendly, and so is everyone there. Either than that it’s perfect, theres uber and Pick ‘n Pay delivers

I traveled and checked in with my daughter and my sister there were happy because is quite and close the beach and safe

Claire’s place was a lovely stay. We felt right at home. Only a few minutes from shops & restaurants in walking distance. Great stay & highly recommend.

Lovely check in process, extremely secure, extremely well maintained, clear & concise information. The amenities were excellent and although we had a slight issue with our unit, it was attended to within 10 mins with great care. What stood out about the place was that one feels secluded from the hustle of Umhlanga and yet Gateway is walking distance and the beach a quick 5 min drive away. Thank you for the lovely stay

Utterly and completely loved how clean and tidy the place was. For a person who suffers from sinusitis it was a joy staying here. The natural views, I adored them. The entire setup leading to the bedroom; which is warm even when it is cold, was for me top-tier and homely. The Hosts were so helpful and kept me abreast of everything happening in and around the area. I'm definitely visiting here next time I'm around Durban.

I have been staying here for few months now and still here. That alone explains how much I love this place and dont want to go anywhere else. This is a definition of home away from home. I feel at home and at peace all the time. Very secure place too, you have a peace of mind when you are here knowing you are secure. There are CCTV camera round the property too. Always having clean beddings, place is cleaned all the time, you dont even have to ask them come clean. You agree at first, when and how many times do you want your place cleaned and it remains like that. This way you can plan your day of cleaning to be out to allow for cleaning without being bothered by anything. Lastly, I will recommend this place anytime to anyone. Its build for business and also tourists stay.

Rikshana is an absolute gem. Accommodated me at every possible opportunity. Prompt with her responses and extremely helpful. Her friendly nature and willingness to help made my stay ever more comfortable. Very rare youll find a host as such and I wish her nothing but the best! Ill most definitely be back.

1st time stay at Bronwyn’s place. Was there for the 8mile charity swim. The proximity to DUCs was fantastic. Her place is clean and has all amenities listed. Not great for restaurants but wow clean and not crowded. Was great to arrive without having to rush to a shop and buy essentials. Fridge stocked and grocery cupboard had stock if needed. Fruit and rusks supplied.

We have just completed a 3 week stay with 4 adults sharing Loren's place. In our opinion it is the perfect place to stay if visiting Ballito. The apartment itself is large, very clean and extremely well equipped. The complex is very well maintained, in particular the pool and garden areas. It is also situated in an ideal spot with direct access to the boardwalk and beach, and is a within a short walking distance of shops and restaurants. Parking is secure and undercover. We can't add much more to all the other positive reviews which are spot on. For any golfers, we would highly recommend Umhlali Country Club golf course which is a 10 minute drive away.  Thanks especially to our hosts Loren, Deon and Viv who are on hand and very quick to respond should you need anything.

Nice spacious Airbnb with a beautiful view of the sea. The hosts are great and very responsive ane helpful too. I'd reccomend this Airbnb to anyone staying in uMhlamga Rocks.

Paola's nest was incredible! We did a last minute booking and she instantly confirmed. When we got there we felt like we didn't want to leave as it was only for a night. The space was clean, quiet, with a beautiful view and close to the restaurants, beach walks and nature reserve. Loved the bathtub!

Amazing service. Easy communication with the host and it’s close to stores so 10/10 would recommend this place.

what a great place so peaceful and I appreciated mostly about sharmaine keeps checking on her clients about their wellbeing, and recommending you about places to go. Very caring host, the view so nice and beautiful braai area. Definitely worth the money
