Vacation rentals with lake access in Philipstown

A beautiful home and the views were breathtaking on the lake. Although, it was frozen. All the amenities we needed and more. Close to skiing and tubing. Owner Sara was very attentive to respond quickly. We just wanted a getaway place for a family weekend. The road was narrow and very icy. Would go back but not in the winter. Summer and the Fall I think would be best. Lots more things to do in the nicer weather months. Thank you Sara for your hospitality.

10/10, best rental! The house felt like a hotel - it was immaculately clean with beautiful decor and in an ideal location. They put a lot of thought into it, there were so many little things we weren't expecting from an Airbnb that made this one top notch. We appreciated the fluffy clean towels and toiletries they provided. They had a whole section of baby items stored neatly in the garage and we used the baby monitor to keep an eye on the kiddos during the night. We really enjoyed the kayaks with life jackets in adult and kid sizes. They even thought to provide things like waterproof cell phone cases to take on the kayaks! They also had a small cooler, tons of beach chairs and lawn games. The location of the house is great, there's a little beach around the corner and 1 min drive into a part of town with some nice restaurants. We took a recommendation from the house's Insta-page and went on an easy hike on the boardwalk section of the Appalachian trail! It was a great time!

Everything was perfect ! My family and I had a great time. Looking forward to staying here again in the summer.

We had a wonderful time staying at Amanda’s lake house, so much so that we extended our trip. It the perfect cozy, warm cabin that we were hoping for. It was so nice sitting by the lake and watching the day go by

We had a great time, very cute house. We enjoyed the creek and lake view. We loved spending time by the fire pit. We even got to see a fox a few of the nights there. Really was very relaxing and would recommend.

Lisa was a fantastic host, responsive, helpful, and gives off the vibe that she really cares about making your stay as enjoyable as possible. The house was beautiful, exactly what was advertised. The only surprise was how clean and tidy everything was! I’ve stayed in several airbnbs and I can honestly say that whoever fixes up the house between each stay deserves a raise, spotless and beautiful. The house feels like a home over a “hotel”. So many amenities, bathrooms are all fantastic (smart mirrors!), kitchen has all the tools you’ll need, and plenty of toys, TVs, and lake goodies at your disposal. Lisa gifted us some local coffee which was incredibly thoughtful as well. The area is quiet and peaceful, the lake gorgeous, everything was exactly what we wanted. Even the neighbors were friendly! All and all, I HIGHLY recommend this airbnb, and I hope it doesn’t get too popular, as I’m looking forward to booking a future stay. Thanks Lisa!!

Alice is a great host, and her place was absolutely what we were looking for. Beautiful views of the lake, that presented us with an exquisite sunset. The place was cozy, clean, very peaceful, and it met all of our expectations. We look forward to returning during a different time of the year.

Very nice peaceful cottage, quiet area. The kitchen is beautiful and there were a lot of nice touches in the kitchen to have things available for me to cook. Parking was very easy, right in front of the cottage. It was not far from cities like Rhinebeck and other sites we went to see. A nice getaway from the city.

This was just what we needed. A nice escape from the city. The lake is gorgeous and the quiet was phenomenal. Not gonna lie the steps are a workout, but since that was the only con, it was a totally worth it. Besides, meant I didn’t have to worry about missing workouts. The apartment was so cute and cozy. Everything was super clean. When I had any questions, they were answered immediately. Thank you so much for a great stay.

This was just what I needed for my first trip to Mohegan Lake! Quiet neighborhood. Cozy bed. Great water pressure. I’ll definitely be booking again if I come back to this cute little town.

Went to locate a go to place for me to reset from life’s nonsense and this was the most healing environment in a peaceful cozy house.

This place was absolutely beautiful and was exactly what we were looking for. Clean studio right on the lake, nothing better than waking up and looking out onto the frozen lake from bed.

Great stay in a beautiful location. Plenty of space for guests. Host was responsive and provided good recommendations for food/restaurantants.

Stayed here with some friends for my birthday and it was wonderful. Ben is very friendly, responsive and made sure to take care of us. The views of the backyard were beautiful and peaceful. We also had lots of privacy. Will definitely be booking again in the future!

Rene was very responsive and gave very clear instructions on things. Place was very neatly put together and the area is very beautiful for a getaway.

Evalina and John were the best hosts we’ve ever had! There was a big winter storm during our trip and the power in the area went out briefly and John was over at our place turning on the generator right away. Highly recommend staying here

We loved the view out to the lake, which was different every day and throughout the day. The open layout of the house is great to enjoy the views, and if the weather is nice, there are great sitting areas outside as well. The house is well-stocked and cozy. The hosts are friendly and always responsive. There are also great parks to visit nearby. We had a great winter weekend and would love to stay again.

Comfortable and clean with beautiful scenery - on clear days, you get a Mountain view across the lake! Highly recommend.
