Excellent spot to post up for a cozy winter get away! Great bird watching and awesome spot for a nature walk. The hot tub was wonderful. Will be going back next winter!

Absolutely amazing place! Wonderful home and beautiful backyard with the woods surrounding it.

We were in town for a Junior Bassmaster tournament and this house was less than 10 min from the Chicken Creek boat ramp- could not have found a better place to stay! Loved sitting out on the back deck enjoying the sunshine and lake view. Lori was very responsive with questions we had during our stay. We will definitely be staying here again if we find ourselves in Cookson again!

Dana was amazing and the cabin was perfect I would recommend any of Dana's property's to everyone I know. So relaxing!!!

Dogwood Bottoms is a gem of place to stay. If you are looking for a private place that is absolutely beautiful with the sounds of running waterfalls, this is your place! Tim is very helpful and responds very quickly! We will definitely stay again if we are in the area!

There are plenty of sleek, modern cabins with that brand new smell to be had these days... but there's nothing quite like staying in a cabin, a decade shy of a century old. The whole cabin was a comforting visit to yester-year. squeaking floorboards, original, latch windows. Every detail was covered, from coffee bar, comfy beds to "not cheap" toilet paper . we could go on and on, but the view is spectacular. We even had a bald eagle land eye level with us, looking out the back down to the river. Although the river is quite easy to get to, if you like a short hike, it's not super kid friendly in the water, but the kids managed to spend a lot of time down there anyway. I grew up loving the illinois river, and this place you should check out!

We loved the cabin! Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it. Cozy, clean and had everything we needed. Close to lake Tenkiller and this was perfect for us since we were fishing a tournament. Janell was so helpful and answered quickly and checked on us. Would recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

Nita’s cabin in the woods was an exceptional place to spend a week with family, spacious rooms all nicely appointed. It was so peaceful and quiet set back from the road. We enjoyed the wildlife, deer, birds and even wild turkey. Nita is an outstanding host! She contacted us a number of times to ensure we could find the location and provided the access information in advance of our arrival so there was no guessing about how to get in. She gave us a number of helpful tips about what to do and see. She even checked in with us the day there were strong winds to make sure we were ok. You can tell she cares about her home and her guests. She made our time at the cabin special! We would love to come back again someday.

This was a great and relaxing stay. Everything was clean. The beds were super comfortable. We would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Wonderful host and wonderful property! We are a high school bass fishing family and this place was amazing. Super clean home with a wonderful location close to chicken creek ramp. Easy to get boat in and out of. Loved staying here! Hosts were very accommodating and nice!

This tiny home is as cute inside as the pictures outside. We really enjoyed the outside space for relaxing and dining. Shane and Carla had set up the fire pit for us to use but we ran out of time . We had a great experience for our first visit to Lake Tenkiller.

My family had a great time staying here! The back patio was a huge hit and we ate meals at the outdoor table whenever possible. The beds were all comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed including spices, oil, and coffee. The trail to the lake is steep towards the end, so not the best for small kids. We made it work and the lake view was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay here!

We enjoyed our stay. She was easy to contact and the place was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again. The local restaurant was not great.

We had a good stay. We fell in love with the original stove that has been maintained or refinished so beautifully. It went well with the rest of the decor. We also liked the wood pieces like the cutout of the lake. Thank you!

Can't say enough wonderful things about this beautiful place! It was so close to the river, peaceful -even on the highway, comfortable indoors and out. We enjoyed breakfast on the covered deck watching the squirrels, plenty of parking for our kayaks, nice TV we rarely watched, comfy huge oversized king bed with black out shades that allowed us to sleep in. Plenty of extra blankets. Great directions by Ruth because GPS will take you elsewhere. Hope to be back next year!

Went for a relaxing, quiet weekend and was thrilled at the surroundings, and the wonderful accommodations. Very clean, cozy and lovely decor. Neighborhood felt safe and the view from the 2 balconies was wonderful. Made me want to buy my own place just like it! Crystal always responded quickly and was very nice. Lots of hammocks and different places to chill on the property. Lots of windows so even when you were inside, you still felt connected to the beautiful outdoors. Loved it! Highly recommend!

Very friendly hosts and fun location. We enjoyed going to eat at Soda Steve’s nearby, kayaking, and enjoying being indoors at night. Dollar General is nearby if needed for snacks and drinks. Bed wasn’t comfortable for us but I have chronic pain so that could be a contributing factor. We really enjoyed how cute and aesthetically pleasing our stay was.

Great get away! Had one issue and was resolved quickly! Would highly recommend
