Darryl and Allyson’s Lakehouse was the perfect place for a weekend getaway with friends. It’s clean and comfortable with everything we needed to enjoy ourselves, and we even got to enjoy a Lake Huron sunset from the upper deck. Darryl and Allyson are responsive and honest and generally great hosts. We’ll be back!

Paul’s house is lovely. He and Karen are very responsive. They answered our questions in a prompt manner. The place is very spacious - which we appreciated. Bathrooms and bedrooms were very neat and clean. Overall, felt like home away from home. We weee disappointed because there was an issue with the bbq and we had planned our meals around it. The host did reimburse us $100 for the inconvenience.

A beautiful, quiet, very well maintained oasis, overlooking gorgeous Lake Huron! Excellent location, between Grand Bend and Bayfield, for day trips and restaurants, if desired. Very well stocked kitchen; comfortable, tastefully decorated and spotless home ( the view!) We really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub! Johnny is a super responsive and helpful host!

This place was amazing. We felt like we were in a mini resort outside of the city. Michelle and her husband were super accommodating and their hospitality was beyond anything we’ve ever experienced before 100% recommend especially for a couples that want to get away and relax, this place offers so much and the little town is super welcoming and friendly. Michelle and her husband went above and beyond to make us feel at home they explained everything to us. The outdoor shower was amazing. The pool was exactly what we were looking for on a hot day and the bonfire at night was so peaceful and relaxing my husband and I will definitely come back to this place thank you Michelle and Ed for the hospitality.

Amazing little spot to come home to after a long day! Hot tub and pool are on point, and the backyard area is lovely and tranquil backing on to a wooded area, with nice views and even some wildlife :)

100% recommend this spot for large parties of people. Comfortable, furnished bedrooms with linens provided and an extremely stocked kitchen with everything you could need to make any meal. Everything was very clean and had a spot to return to make clean up easy. It was very quiet and private with tons of parking. Large yard for outdoor activities made for a great gathering area. Pack your bug spray however! The privacy of the trees and close location to a river makes for lots of mosquitos. 5 stars!

Therese and Jim were awesome hosts and their property was amazing. Everything was as expected and our time there was awesome. Highly recommend this for any large group.

What inspired me to book this tiny cabin again was how peaceful the space feels. We’d benefited from treatments and classes with Ellen during a previous stay and I was excited to get to book with her this time and was not disappointed. Thank you Ellen, for your heart centred approach to hosting. It was great for me to be able to relax in your tiny cabin.

Very nice remodelled old century home, comfortable beds and beautiful patio setting to have your coffee in the morning. Super nice folks, welcomed us as we arrived and gave us local recommendations and left us to enjoy the space and town. Highly recommend staying here if you're exploring the region.

I stayed for 3ish months. Flat worked very well for my stay. Would highly recommend if you have a dog as there’s a lovely and large backyard. Bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. Good, quiet, convenient neighbourhood, the upstairs tenants are wonderful, and Jennifer (host) is extremely responsive. Smaller bedroom is quieter as you can hear pipes from upper flat in the larger bedroom. I had only one issue with bad flooding during a high rain period. Jennifer was responsive, and sent someone to deal with it early the next morning. Once we spoke about it she then gave me an extra night, which I appreciated. She was also understanding and flexible about extensions/changes to checkout. Would stay again and recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and spacious home! Our family of 8, ranging in age from 3 to 60, felt completely comfortable and at home from the moment we arrived. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing and memorable family getaway. The grandkids especially loved the toys and play areas—it made a big difference having a space where they could have fun while the adults relaxed. We had plenty of room to gather, laugh, and create lasting memories as a family. It’s not always easy to find a place that works so well for a group of all ages, but this home exceeded our expectations.

Steve and Melissa's place was perfect. They were fantastic hosts. The place had everything you needed. Would definitely stay again and recommend it.

I would highly recommend Nature's Cottage. We were a group of 7 and honestly we had ample room. The cottage is very spacious, clean, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. The property was stunning. Beautiful manicured back yard offered a large deck, screened in porch, as well as a great fire pit, which we utilized. The property is within 10 minutes to all amenities, and just a 20 minute drive to the town of Goderich. You won't be disappointed!

This was a perfect place for us to stay during our trip to the area. We were able to cook a full meal in the kitchen and had no issues with any of the amenities.

Helen's home is beautiful! We were a group of 9 women and the space provided us plenty of very comfortable room to spread out and enjoy. The house is located on a cul-de-sac, which provides the utmost tranquility and peaceful surroundings. We took the trail along the river for a nice daily walk and enjoyed walking into town to grab breakfast at The Cozy Cottage. the house is beautifully decorated, has every single amenity you could think of or need do you have a very comfortable stay. the beds were very comfortable, the towels were soft and all of the many windows provided beautiful views and tons of natural light.

Wonderful. Lovely, cottage like apartment set in a garden setting within a short walk to all the main attractions. Renovated, modern and yet charming. Beautifully decorated with many interesting design elements. Mini gallery for the owners’ professional portrait photos. Every little thing you might need and many, many extras in case you forgot something. Plush bath towels. I luv that! Everything worked. No issues with any of the mechanicals. Luv that too! Owner was super helpful and responded quickly to our queries. She really wants to make her guests happy & comfy. Of note, the apartment is a studio but it really has loads of space and is actually much larger than the photos make it seem. Really high ceilings with lots of light from many windows. I can’t rave enough about it. Can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t rave too.

The weekend was phenomenal, the amenities were fantastic and well-managed. The only downsides were that it was fairly apparent that the local bylaws greatly impacted the place with some unreasonable asks. For example, they required every tenant's name, age, phone, email and home address. Per the Short-Term Rental bylaw, only the number of tenants and adults for the Short-Term Rental are required. Outside of these couple of inconveniences, we had a great time and would definitely be back.

This was an amazing stay! My boyfriend and I stayed here during the rbc canadian open and it was the perfect location. It was beautiful, clean, and so peaceful. We would come back in a heart beat!

The place was very nice, quite & peaceful area, walking trail on the property, surrounded by nature. It was very enjoyable for the time that was spent there. Very nice hosts. Would definitely rent again.

We had most amazing time at this place! The location is really peaceful,surrounded by nature and well maintained hot pool. The host was incredibly responsive and kind, we had really nice chitchat with host. We had really great time with friends and family on campsite and on pool as well , the site is really quite and surrounded by tress. We are already planning our next trip back

Would highly recommend! A very spacious spot with lots of activities and lovely surroundings. The place is very cozy with the wood burning stove and plethora of candles. Annette was very pleasant, responsive and accommodating! We had a great time playing with her dogs in the snow. We will be back!

We had stayed at another cabin on the property before and we loved it. Mark, Melanie and the entire staff were helpful, friendly, and wonderful! We will always visit them at Willowlake in one form or another. The cottage was so clean upon arrival which was impressive! The only possible downsides would be the dumpsters being right next to the cottage (however smells weren’t an issue while we were there, your patio is on the other side of the cottage) and the staff trailer door was really close to our fire pit so it didn’t feel private or secluded (but the staff were great so that didn’t bother us). The one downside that was a pickle for us was the side door entry. Immediately upon entering the cottage there are stairs going down to the kitchen. We have a four year old so those stairs were a concern but within two days we were used to them and managed to finagle entry better. Overall it was a great experience and they will see us back at Willowlake next summer!

We had a great weekend. This is not the kind of place some airbnbs have become -- a hotel experience. Instead it had an authenticity and humility that we loved. The horses and other animals were fantastic, and the space was very comfortable. We would love to go back again.

This place was absolutely amazing. It had everything you could possibly need and want. We enjoyed everything- the qames, pool table and darts. We wish we hadn't planned so much so we could make better use of everything. Thomas was very responsive and went out of his way to help when there was something we couldn't figure out. We loved being there and will definitely look to return if we return to Toronto
