Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Perry County

We really enjoyed our time at Shome on the Lake at Buckeye Lake. I wanted a quiet place with our own personal pool and hot tub for a relaxing vacation with my kids and it did not disappoint. Aaron was very kind and quickly responded to any inquiries. He did not hesitate to ensure we had everything needed to have a pleasant stay. We went catfishing nearby on the lake and caught many very nice sized fish. Pulled in two ginormous catfish right off the dock of the BNB but unfortunately they snapped the line before we got them all the way out of the water. The little cove where the house sits is perfect for kayaking. Considering that for our next trip! We had such a fun time and will certainly be back. Thank you Aaron for all you did for us while on our trip. We sincerely appreciate you!

Jacob’s place was very pleasant to stay at. Our family of 6 had plenty of space inside the house and around the property to relax and enjoy the peaceful hocking area. The hot tub was very relaxing and the fire pit made for a great night of relaxation outdoors! Overall my family loved this space and would definitely book again!!!

Me and my family had the best time in Corning. The location is just as describe. Jason and JJ were very accommodating and responded promptly if we had questions. We look forward to going back.

It was easy to find but you are actually in the basement of a house built on a hill. I don’t think that shows in the listing. The people above you actually live there. They greeted us and were both lovely. I didn’t realize it was really one big room. Also, it is much more rustic than it looks in the photos. The porch with the hot tub, table, swing and glider was very nice as it looked out on the big field and woods. Bre and Peter were very quick at getting back to me if I had a question. I did not like having to go through a second app though. I’d rather do everything just through Airbnb.

This worked out perfectly for our group of three! The home was a comfortable, clean, peaceful place to relax between explorations of the local area, particularly the nearby town of Logan and trails in the Hocking Hills area. The spacious backyard was especially welcoming, with the neighboring animals (goats, ponies, horses, etc.) and mowed pathways among the trees that made for a lovely stroll before settling down for evening s'mores at the fire pit. Caleb clearly cares about his guests, and was an active communicator making sure we had everything we needed!

The farm fresh eggs was a sweet surprise. Very nice people and a very cool older home.

This was a great little spot for our visit to Hocking Hills. It was far enough out of town to be more peaceful, but still close enough to Door Dash some food when needed! The house was quaint and cozy. My toddler enjoyed the toys.

Racing at the GNCC John Penton race down the street this weekend. It can get a little wild at the races, so we always look for an AirBnB nearby to relax and stay focusing on the racing and not the shenanigans. This place was great for that. About 15 minutes away from the race. Quiet as can be. He's serious when he says little or no cell reception. We threw out a Starlink and had internet without problems. Decent grocery store nearby (Kroger) nearby. Great stay!

Mollie was very nice and responsive. The apartment was perfect for a weekend stay visiting Denison. It was right across from campus and a quick walk into town. We would stay here again!

Spacious enough for one or two people. I usually stay far away from anyone, but being behind their house really wasn't an issue. 20 minutes outside Athens. Check out the nearby rural grocery store, which still has a non-electronic gas pump!

Deni's place is a perfect getaway tucked up in the hills. The apartment was clean and easy to find. If your car isn't good with steep hills, might want to book elsewhere. But my 4 cylinder did just fine. Deni was very proactive in providing directions to their place and accommodating with our request to leave our ebikes at the home earlier than check-in. The apartment was full of local art, which we loved. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Athens.

This property is very nice. The furniture is comfortable, everything was very clean. The WiFi worked. The area is quiet and I felt safe as a solo traveller. The unit looks exactly like the photos in the listing. Savannah is good to work with and her tips about Juniper & Ivy (coffee) was a good recommendation. The only note I want to call out is that the stairs in/out of the property are *extremely* steep. The height of each step in 10 inches; residential stairs are usually ~7 inches tall, and for those who know, the stairs at the Crow Barn to the downstairs classrooms are 8. Guests with joint, mobility, or balance issues should be aware of this and choose accordingly.

We loved our time here! We enjoyed walking the beautiful property, seeing all of the flowers and gardens Natalie is growing, sitting by the pond and visiting the animals. We look forward to coming back again!

What a wonderful retreat! I stayed by myself as a little momma get away and it was perfect. The Zucchini bread is as good as everyone says! The hot tub was wonderful! The hosts were extremely responsive whenever I needed anything and really helpful! There are even games and toys for kids/toddlers if that is what you’re doing. I of course was vacationing FROM the kids toys lol but I love that if we go back there are things for the kids. Be advised that this is a basement apartment so you’ll hear footsteps and sometimes muffled voices just like you would in any house. It didnt bother me at all! The views are spectacular and the property is just so peaceful. 10/10 would recommend for sure!!

Very cute place at a good location in a nice city

Overall a great stay. Area was peaceful and the river overlook was beautiful. Checkin/checkout was pretty easy. Only downsides was the bathroom - 1.5ba for 10 people required some coordination!

Katie’s place was absolutely wonderful! We’ve actually never felt more at home in an Airbnb. It was very clean, safe and decorated beautifully. The location was also very central and walkable to everything downtown. If we’re ever in town again, we would absolutely stay here again. Thank you so much again, Katie!

What a great place - super convenient to Ohio University and Uptown Athens. Five of us stayed comfortably, we enjoyed watching TV in the living room and playing games at the dining room table. We were Uptown in less than 5 minutes. We also loved the use of the garage.

We had an amazing stay at Ashleys! We were here to celebrate a graduation and it was the perfect stay. The place was spacious, clean, and very close to uptown. We will definitely be back, we loved it!

The apartment was spacious, very clean, and had extra towels and blankets. Angie gave very clear instructions, was friendly, and super responsive on all communication.

The house is in the middle of Athens, Ohio, a significant college town, and its location in proximity to Ohio U is phenomenal. We've stayed here several times and always felt lucky to have such a well-appointed home that is walkable to most of campus and Court Street. Ashley is an excellent host and the house is clean and updated on both levels.
