Quarry View - Unique property nestled in the woods

Quarry View is a quirky, comfortable property nestled in the woods in Pontesbury. Comfortably sleeping 2 with the option of a travel cot/camp bed for a child if needed. Really quiet location but within a half hour drive of some lovely Shropshire towns and ideal for walkers. We provide everything you need for a comfortable stay, including basic breakfast items and logs for the log burner. Shropshire Hills Cosy Riverbank Retreat

Our lodge lies in a sheltered spot above the bank of the Darnford Brook as it gently meanders along the Shropshire Way. The private garden connects with the footpath leading straight up onto the Long Mynd where you can explore the 5000 acre National Trust AONB, including the Jack Mytton Way and Offas Dyke. Alternatively, follow the byway as it makes its way towards the Stiperstones. The well maintained paths, bridleways and mountain bike trails offer fabulous opportunities for exploring.

Off-grid living, high in the Shropshire Hills

The Garden Room is a private, off-grid apartment that is perfect for couples in search of a quiet break or looking to explore the area. It has basic cooking facilities along with a king size bed, a walk-in shower and a wood burning stove. We have reliable wifi, no tv and an ok mobile signal. Plenty of wildlife - hares, deer and a recent night-time sighting of pine marten. Lovely up here this time of year - a big sky, far reaching views and rich autumn colours as the leaves begin to turn.

Enchmarsh Farm barn

Small barn in the midst of a working Dairy and sheep farm right next to our home with fabulous walks all around. Double bed with small shower room and mini kitchen area in the corner of the room. Ideal as walking base or base when working in the area. Good parking just outside the barn - vehicles can be left whilst you walk the glorious hills around. Cooked breakfast available in the dining room in the farmhouse for £10 per person - includes the choice of sausage, bacon, eggs etc.
