I absolutely recommend this place and can’t wait to stay there again. The kitchen was fully stocked which is rare in my air bnb experiences. We got to pet the horses, Hazel and Rue. There was an ample supply of towels. It was out in the middle of no where so we enjoyed the privacy. We loved all the reading materials and the map to plan our hiking adventures. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. Thank you to Carol and Tom!

This is the third time we’ve stay with this host. The barn ambience is amazing! My girls got to play with new puppies and hangout with some great horses. The barn kittens are also a blast. Rooms are always clean and Kristy makes sure to help you out with anything you might need. Great Mexican food just around the corner, and the local donut shop in town has the best donut I’ve ever had (pine cone). Book here, you won’t regret it.

My wife & I visited my family and friends for a few days. Staying at The Cottage was the perfect place for my Mom to spend a few nights with us. We all loved the charm, warmth and comfort of The Cottage. Our only true regret is that we didn’t bring people with us. The home is a perfect fit for a large family with children. This is not just a cabin, it‘s a stage design. Formerly a workshop the Space was converted into an Airbnb 5 years ago, surrounded by farm land. You can watch the sun going down through the glassed gate before you close the curtain - and may hear some coyotes or listen to whatever is nightly active out there in nature. In the cabin you find polaroid images and notes from other guests, one says, even a marriage proposal happened in this scenery. If you come on a cold April day, an wir conditioning unit next to the bed delivers enough heat to keep you warm. The bath room in s former grain silo next to the cabin is definively larger than your own at home. Theatrical!

We were in town for a concert and the Airbnb was 5 minutes from the venue! Very close to restaurants and the downtown area. Host was very helpful during check-in and check-out. The home itself was awesome! Felt right and home and it was spotless when we arrived. I would recommend this place 10/10.

Was a great place for a couple weekend get away. Morning coffee was provided and the place felt like home before we even stepped inside. Place was super clean when we arrived and exceeded our expectations. I would recommend this house as the place to stay if you’re coming to Hays!

This is the first time I did not have to contact the host for any reason as everything was provided for, easy to find and well thought out. We were very happy with the house and will definitely stay there again if we are in that area. The house is in a quiet area and has a great outdoor space. Carol is an excellent host!

Enjoyed my stay at this little house. Very comfortable. Only complaint was that all channels were streaming only and I have cable at home. Luckily someone else had left their You Tube TV account open so zi could use it to watch the news, will stay again if available and I’m in the area.

We loved staying here and getting to meet the horses and very friendly cats! The apartment is cozy and clean and we appreciated the bathrobes and breakfast items and country views. Steph kindly helped us meet her beautiful mustangs and told us about the farm, and the cats were incredibly cuddly. A lovely experience!

Oh my gosh what a great place! Check in was a breeze and it was so quiet and relaxing! We were in town for a training so the quick treat basket was so nice, as we each took a few with us. We loved how each room was part of the KS story. We will definitely stay here again when in Hays!

The place was exactly what my wife and I were looking for - peaceful and relaxing. It is off the beaten path for sure. You are on a farm with cattle, but it is complete tranquility. Very enjoyable. The house itself was extremely comfortable for our stay. We will return.

This place was unexpected in the best way! I travel for work and see a lot of short term rentals. I felt like the first guest to ever stay at this cute little home. Clean as a whistle and well appointed. Quiet with comfy beds and split HVAC units to control the temperature in each room separately. The host was very responsive and check-in was very simple. Great location close to everything in the little small town of Oberlin. I can only hope my travels bring me back through so I can stay again!!
