The Owls' Hoot

KarenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was a beautiful and comfortable lodge with thoughtful touches to make us welcome. There was helpful information provided both about the lodge and the local area - useful without being overwhelming. We appreciated that towels were provided for the hot tub use as well as the bathroom. We would recommend this lodge without hesitation!

Ground Floor Flat - Wye Valley AONB/Forest of Dean

RossRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Great place to stay, thank you. Everything we needed was there, great location with the little shop next door and passing a lidl on the way from Monmouth. The pubs with nice food and atmosphere. We were lucky with the weather so enjoyed eating in the courtyard. It was also perfect for us with the canoes and finishing at Redbrook. Will definitely be recommending it as a place to stay for friends and family.

Cathedral View -Romantic Country House 1 bed apt.

BlythRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Absolutely gorgeous place to stay in a beautiful, quiet, peaceful little town. The space is so stunning, very comfortable and the bed is one of the best I’ve slept in! Great location for exploring places like Coleford, Ross on Wye and the Forest of Dean, and the area itself is lovely to walk around and take in, especially the beautiful church. Super duper clean inside the accommodation, and having a dedicated parking space outside was a bonus. Would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to explore the area, you will not regret it!
A serene landscape is filled with a vibrant carpet of bluebells against a backdrop of lush green trees. Sunlight filters through the branches, creating a peaceful ambiance in this tranquil natural setting.

High View Barn Penallt

PeteRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We loved the off the beaten track location The 50m away only other property was out of sight and just helped us not to feel completely isolated. Everything was just right. The quality of the ban conversion. The underfloor heating kept a comfortable ambient temperature, and altho overast and chilly outside we didn't feel the need to light the wood burner and took our kindling home. The kitchen was well equipped kitchen, the bed comfortable. bek. The full with windows across the length of the kitchen made it a great spot to sit and take in the great view through trees free and across the valley. Birdsong and bird activity was a feature, with birds of prey from time to time high above, and a 7am knocking on the glass door from a grouse! Maybe reacting to its own reflection. Another time we would have explored the area on foot, very easy to do with footpaths crossing close by going down towards the river. but we opted for cosy and restful.

A staircase with yellow-marked steps leads down to a private entrance. To the left, a planter with greenery adds a touch of nature, while wooden fencing offers privacy. The door at the base of the steps is white, framed by a well-kept entryway.

Modern, spacious flat in heart of Monmouth

ChrisRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
The flat is over the M&S Food and you approach from the back of the building, check the parking times as 08.00 to 18.00 for nearest but better hours and no parking charges on Sunday at Waitrose nearby. The flat was clean, stylish and comfortable, idea for a couple or small family. There are quite a few stairs and a walk across the roof of the M&S to reach the flat, but all safe and open. There is a nearby park for exercise and the town has lots of places to shop and enjoy a meal/drink. The flat is recommended for a weekend or holiday and Monmouth is close to Ross, Abergavenny and local sites.

RewildThings - Sky

Our stay was incredible. It was quiet, peaceful with beautiful views from the treehouse. The kitchen was so well equipped which made cooking meals so much fun! We also got so many recommendations on what to do around the area and every single place we stopped by did not disappoint. Everything was extremely neat and clean, and we loved the way the space was decorated. Overall a 10/10 experience, would definitely be back!!

Ty Nant Treehouse with covered hot tub

MatthewRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Victoria & Craig have re-written the rulebook when it comes to hosting. Both were very very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. Nothing was too much trouble and every single detail you can think of was covered. The cabin was extremely well appointed in beautiful, peaceful, and very private surroundings! Everything was immaculate, it was impossible to believe that someone had stayed in it just before we arrived. Although completely left to our own devices the welcome pack, instruction book and decor made you feel like they were there to make sure you were having a good time. An extremely professional, beautiful and well run setup from two lovely people! Can’t wait to come back! Love to the Alpacas aswell!!
