Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Pello

We had the greatest stay at Kosti’s ! He’s the best host we could ask for. He’s always available when you need anything, and makes sure for your stay to be as welcoming as possible. The sauna and pool are really nice to enjoy, and the location is perfect. The (then frozen) river next to the house offered us the possibility to watch wonderful auroras, and the proximity the Ounasvaraa ski station allowed us to enjoy it as much as possible. I could only recommend you to stay at Kosti’s place if you want your stay to be the best, and feel as a local.

Wonderful location, there is an open area nearby where aurora was visible in the night.

Good value for money. Super Clean Good location (airport 20 minutes / bus stop 20 m / 2 convenience stores 5 minutes by car) Quiet place We loved the sauna. Some small flaws: missing some utensils, the back room is a little less warm than the rest of the house. We recommend this place.

Had a very pleasant stay. The views are amazing and the hot tub was perfect! The house is very clean and well built. It’s a short 30 minute drive from the city which also means wonderful night sky without any light pollution. Felt like locals during our stay here!

We fall in love with this house. It has a lot of great moment to offer. You can walk on the frozen lake, playing snow around the house, and even seeing aurora from the house window. Love the surroundings! The amenities are also great. Thank you host for the great house with excellent service.

We had a lovely stay in Rovaniemi at Mari's. We enjoyed the comfort and coziness of the accommodation and especially the sauna which was welcome in the evening after a day spent in the cold Everything was perfect, I would recommend this listing.

We recently stayed in Minnas house and it was just perfect. The house is beautiful inside and is very cozy and homely. It has fantastic views out the back looking over the frozen lake and there is a little hill down to the lake which the kids used for sledding (Minna had lots of sleighs left outside for the kids to use which was very kind). The location is great as its in a little quite neighborhood in nature but also only a short drive to shops and the centre. Minna is a great host and is very reachable and quick to answer any questions. Thanks for having us.

Very clean and good place to stay. We booked the towels, duvet covers and the hot tub, everything was super prepared and so we could save some luggage. the accommodation is a bit away from the city center but you can also walk or take the bus into town. Mikko was always available immediately. Overall, we loved it. Thank you!

“Wonderful stay in Maula” We had a fantastic stay at this cozy Airbnb! The place was just as described – modern, clean and very well equipped. We especially liked the breathtaking view of the Finnish countryside and the tranquility of the surroundings. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. They gave us great tips for activities in the area and made us feel comfortable at all times. We would particularly like to highlight the sauna, which was a real highlight – ideal for relaxing after an active day. The location was also excellent. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights several times. We highly recommend this place and would stay here again anytime!

I stayed in Tuija's cozy apartment for the second time, and once again, it was great. 😊 The host is friendly and helpful, and the apartment has everything you need. Ski trails can be accessed right at the door. Recommended!

We stayed at Laura’s cozy home for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time at her place. Her lovely home had everything we needed and so much more. It was spotlessly clean with helpful info throughout to make us feel welcome. The sauna was wonderful. The location is beautiful and in the middle of nature, with many trails. We even saw the Northern Lights! Easy access to/from the City Center by bus. Grocery within walking distance. All communications with Laura were very fast, helpful and informative. She is a terrific host! We would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

The apartment was perfect for us. Walking distance to ski lifts and possible to ski back to the apartment (on sidewalk). Absolutely no complaints, definitely recommended. --- Ylläs destination warning - do NOT trust the airport bus, they can cancel at any time and you won't get your money back. Also, local minimarket is quite expensive. Travel by car.

Mia’s place is a gem! We were so glad to stay here, near the amenities of Akaslompolo but much quieter and also free of light pollution. Being able to get on the cross country ski tracks from our door was amazing… particularly because these tracks are virtually empty, like you have them to yourself. And, the kota (traditional hut) is really special… stocked with firewood so that you can use it when you want, anytime. We saw the northern lights 3 out of 4 nights!!!!! And we loved the cozy atmosphere of the cottage. Once you figure out how Finnish saunas work by using Mia’s instructions in her book… it heats up really nicely in 30 minutes OR you can set a timer for when you are going to arrive back. We loved it here!

Very nice cottage, with great views of nature and the chance to admire the Northern Lights directly from the window. Fireplace & sauna make the cottage very comfortable, especially in cold temperatures. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. We felt very comfortable & can recommend the accommodation! Nevertheless, we would like to point out that we found the cost of the final cleaning & bed linen /towels to be quite high, as the cabin was not 100% clean on our arrival and beds, for example, still had to be made by us.

Great experience. Characteristic house, very cozy and equipped with all services. There were 7 of us and we were all perfectly. If I had to go back to Finland I would definitely come back here. Highly recommended!

A cozy vacation home where everything worked well. The stove was quick even though it wasn't induction. Likewise, the oven and sauna heated up quickly. Shop within walking distance, the ski track was also found a nice distance away. Peaceful yard😀

We thoroughly enjoyed coming ‘home’ after a day of activities to the house. The sauna warms you up immediately. Evenings are too short when watching your favourite show on the home cinema. The kitchen is super equipped. Everything is available. Great place for relaxing.

Nice, spacious house with all amenities you need. Some parts are a bit outdated, and it should be cleaned a little better. But otherwise it is a great house. The outdoor sauna is very nice and tidy. We received clear instructions from Ragnar about the house and saunas. The balcony is ideal for being able to quickly get outside from the living room to view the Northern Lights. Also the outdoor space is large, and ideal for sledding or playing. Nearby are beautiful hiking and skiing areas. We made a beautiful trip through The Old Postoffice Sweden. Highly recommend. And also definitely visit Forest Jewels, where the Sami sell their made stuff. It was also nice that Ragnar was easy to reach and always willing to offer help where necessary.

I had an incredible time staying at Svetlana’s cabin! The location was perfect and a short drive to Santa Claus Village and the perfect getaway place to Lapland. The space itself was exactly as described - clean, spacious, and comfortable. Svetlana was very tentative and checkin on us to ensure we got everything we need. She even notify us the Aurora outside our cabin!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The house was beautiful! We got to see the northern lights from the Jacuzzi on the porch! We will definitely stay here again!

The villa was beautiful, modern and clean. amazing picture windows to look out over the forest and incredibly cosy. The kitchen was amazingly well stocked with everything we needed to cook and entertain for the 12 of us and plenty of spare room for the kids to have their own space downstairs. The slopes are definitely walkable, but ski in ski out is cross country only, the walk was however, easy and picturesque so who cares! Id highly reccomend this place if you are looking for classic Finland, cosy retreats, red wine and log fires. The resort was also great but id reccomend a car to go slightly further afield also. All in all another amazing stay in Finland for half term.

We spent 10 days in this beautiful house in beautiful surroundings. The magnificent lake closeby, the remoteness and still having Pello and Rovaniemi at a good driving distance, the quietness and every morning that lovely view from all of the windows, the sauna, the crisp morning air, ....we look back at a fantastic time : we fell in love with Pello-Lappi. Thank you Aini and Risto and Hanna, for letting us spend time on your property ; it was a privilege. Thank you for the personal stories you shared, for your kindness, your friendlyness. We would love to be back and see the place in an other season.

We had a wonderfull stay and we enjoyed our vacation a lot. The House Looks exactly Like on the pictures and is very very clean und comfy! We loved the beautiful scenery and the Sauna. Juhani is very accomodating and the Communication was really easy. The House is about 8 minutes away from the Train Station (by car) and calling a Taxi was Not a Problem at all. We will definitly come back again next year. Thank you!
