Vacation rentals with lake access in Pelkosenniemi

Our stay at Tarja and Scott’s house was one of the best adventures of our lives. Even before the trip, they were very kind and helpful. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and had everything we needed. The house was cozy and warm, with plenty of firewood. There is also a beautiful kota near the house where we could cook on the fire and watch the northern lights. We were lucky to see the aurora five nights in a row. Scott also gave us great advice about hiking and kindly let us stay a bit longer on our last day. Before we left, we had a nice talk and learned more about his life. We will always remember this peaceful place by the lake and hope to return one day. :)

Juhas Villa is one of the best accommodations i‘ve been to during all my Journeys. It‘s located very beautiful and private near a huge lake. The Villa is spacious and equipped very well. It‘s 30 minutes from Ranua by car away. So it’s a good Place to visit for example the Ranua Wildlife Park. We also Went to Korouoma Canyon from Juhas Villa. It’s easy to get to the Villa by car, Even in Winter when the streets are a Little Snowy. We (5 people) have been there in March with a rentalcar. Juha is so friendly, Helpful and polite! He Went icefishing with us on the lake and offered us warm Drinks and Snacks. The best things of the Villa were the Sauna, the whirlpool and spotting the polarlights out of the livingroom. I can absolutely recommend Juhas Villa and I‘d love to come back, maybe in Summer next time! Everything was Perfect, thank you!

We had an amazing time in Joona’s house. It is a quite and family friendly location. A supermarket is at a walking distance. We had everything we needed. Easy communication with the host. Thanks, Joona, for the hospitality.

We recently stayed in Minnas house and it was just perfect. The house is beautiful inside and is very cozy and homely. It has fantastic views out the back looking over the frozen lake and there is a little hill down to the lake which the kids used for sledding (Minna had lots of sleighs left outside for the kids to use which was very kind). The location is great as its in a little quite neighborhood in nature but also only a short drive to shops and the centre. Minna is a great host and is very reachable and quick to answer any questions. Thanks for having us.

The house and surroundings are absolutely stunning. Me and my group all agreed it was the best Air BnB we have ever stayed in, hands down! I would highly recommend this property, you won't regret it.

The stay was amazing! Jyry was extremely helpful and responsive the entire time. The home was very clean and very nice. The surroundings were beautiful, and we got some great views of the northern lights from here. Was definitely worth it to stay here

Such a great home minutes from the center of Rovaniemi and on the river, clean and welcoming space, comfortable accommodations, responsive host, and everything you can ask for. Would highly recommend to visitors.

Lovely little place to stay near Rovaniemi!

It is a neat, cozy, and lacking accommodation. Especially recommended for travelers who prefer a comfortable bed. Our group was so comfortable without lacking anything. Reasonable price and comfortable and tidy accommodation There is no reason not to choose here. perfect

We had a great time at Nicholas' place. The welcome and instructions were very clear. The apartment was very warm and functional, we felt very good there. The sauna is a real asset that we really appreciated. We would definitely recommend Nicholas and his apartment to discover Rovaniemi and its surroundings.

We enjoyed very much the beautiful and peaceful surrounding. Very responsive host, had a little problem with the door, Ari came to help us in no time. Lovely place with a lot for the kids to do. Will definitely stay again when we come back.

Wonderful stay in Lapland and the apartment is warm, clean and very functional. Niina and Heini are adorable and very responsive if you have any problems or questions. The host responded to messages kindly and showed flexibility. Great for the outdoors, as trails and winter outdoor trails comfortably 50m away on the ice of Lake Talvijärvi. A short trip to the store and the village.

My spouse and I had a great time there, from the welcome by her very friendly husband, the quiet environment with the added bonus of squirrels and birds that came every morning in front of the window, the northern lights on the lake just behind. The only catch is maybe the bed is a little small and the sauna that we couldn't get to work, but that didn't stop us from having a lovely time there, the area is beautiful and quiet, we recommend the place and will be happy to come back! Yanina and Jukka Pekka offered us a lot of activities to do around. A big thank you for the tree that we were able to cut and then decorate ourselves. The walk to see the northern lights was superb. We highly recommend it. anne

All I will say is wow!!! Everything we were hoping for and more, jenny has a little gem of a home and spectacular grounds on a reindeer farm. Jenny went above and beyond with information and help for us and we are so grateful as a family to her and her family for helping us create some ever lasting memories. Would be a dream to return xx

The stay was just what was promised. Very peaceful and beautiful place, well located away from the hustle and bustle but still close to the village. Teemu responded to quick messages and was friendly. The cottage has everything you need and the outdoor sauna got a good steam. Let's come again😊

My boyfriend and I felt very comfortable. It was clean and everything as described. Nature was indescribably beautiful and very quiet as there was no one nearby. Through the frozen lake we had a perfect view of the aurora lights. After a long day of skiing, we grilled in the cabin in the evening and used the sauna. We will recommend this place to anyone who wants to travel to Northern Finland. Thanks a lot!

We absolutely loved it! The cabin is totally homely and invites you to cozy games afternoons in front of the flickering oven. The kitchen is well equipped, even basic food such as flour, tea, various Spices, pasta, rice, etc. were available. Not unimportant if the nearest supermarket is 70km away. The lake is less than a five minute walk away, a perfect spot to look at the aurora lights. Unobstructed view in all directions, as far as the clouds allow ;-) No noteworthy light pollution in the area, a dream. Tero recommended various activities on request, so we met Janne, the reindeer in Unari. This was truly a special experience to stand among hundreds of reindeer who have been fuming around the food like wild. We felt like we were in an animal documentary;-) So if you like it secluded, this is the place to be:-D

We had the pleasure of staying 4 days in this exceptional architectural oasis surrounded by stunning nature and overlooking the lake. We enjoyed the beautiful views from every room in the cabin—whether from the bed in the morning, the sauna, or during dinner. The cabin is quiet and located about 16 km from Rovaniemi, making it the perfect base for our daily excursions. We rented a car at the airport, which made exploring easy. Johannes has been an impeccable and incredibly pleasant host, always quick to respond and ready with great recommendations. Thank you for an amazing stay—your cabin has been central to our experience!
