“An adorable CLEAN cottage tucked away in plain sight! Excellent get away! (We will be returning) Not only was the cottage great, but across the street was a great walking path around a little lake with fountains. Also lots of green grass for the kids to play on! Cynthia was a great host and very accommodating. Our original plans were to hike at the Tonto National Bridge, however when we arrived we were told that they were all closed. Cynthia got us in an hour earlier and with a suggestion to hike Water Wheels Falls... Well it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! It was absolutely STUNNING!”
Note about COVID-19: We use professional cleaners that wear masks and use hospital-grade disinfectants (CaviCide) to thoroughly clean all high-touch surfaces such as light switches, door knobs and all counters. Get out of the heat and escape to the cool pines in my cozy mountain cabin at the base of the Mogollon Rim. This is also a great place to work from home, there's a small workspace and high-speed cable internet (100mb/s). The area also has perfect cell phone and 4G/LTE reception.
“Nice stay in Pine, lots of deer roaming the neighborhood and feeding every day. The property is just like the pictures but was smaller than I thought it would be. Perfect for 2 or 3 people, 4 would be quite tight. Also, the house is in a residential neighborhood with houses on both sides. The picture makes it seem like the property is very secluded - it isn't. Kitchen is well stocked, everything was clean and responses from the host were super fast! Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Pine is a very small town, not much to do and Tonto Natural Bridge is "open" but you can't get to it because all the trails are closed and under construction. The ranger told us to come back in October. Overall a pleasant couple of days out of the blistering Phoenix temperatures.”
Payson sits in the middle of the largest Ponderosa Pine Forest in the world. This cool mountain town is only 1 hour away from the Valley of the Sun, yet it seems like a world away. Rich in western history, antique shops, museums, and art galleries, it is a year-round playground for outdoor enthusiasts. With its 4 mild seasons, it has become the Festival Capitol of Arizona, and just 2.3 miles north of town, and 1.6 miles down a winding country road that follows the East Verde River is PARADISE.
“This place is magical. It's like walking through the most beautiful dream, but it's real! The pictures don't do it justice, it far exceeded our expectations. Brenda & her son are warm, friendly hosts, who made our stay that much more enjoyable. The stocked pond was a big draw for us, as we love to fish, but EVERYTHING about this place is special. The trails, the enormous, gorgeous trees, the hidden gems everywhere you look. The use of the boats made for fun/ny times, the friendly kitty, geese, ducks on the property were so sweet to watch. We drove 2 mins down the road & walked along the Verde River, the surrounding area is beautiful as well. The cottage was so cute! Perfect size for a couple, with everything you need there. I brought our own food & BBQed, used the hot plate for a couple breakfast things & toaster oven as well. Brenda has the fridge stocked with essential, breakfast treats, coffee, literally she didn't miss a thing in any way! I could go on & on & on! I didn't want to ever leave! 300+ pictures taken, the lights at night, the private jacuzzi, firepit romance & that we caught over 100 fish! I wanted to chain myself to one of her weeping willows & stay forever. We will most definitely be back, many times! This has become our new favorite place!”
