West Auchenhean, Rosie's Cottage

FlorenceRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My friend and I chose this cottage for a quiet getaway with our dogs and it was just what we hoped it would be. We were welcomed by Barbara and Graeme upon arrival and they were very kind and helpful if we had any queries at all. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. The views from the bedrooms were stunning and there were plenty walks nearby the property, which were especially lovely in the evening with the sunsets. It was the perfect scenic escape we needed. Thank you Barbara and Graeme (and Rosie the golden retriever of course!).

Beautiful spacious country cottage with Hot Tub

EileenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A very beautiful cottage in a private setting. We were met by George on arrival. George was very friendly and informative. We instantly felt right at home. Welcome basket on the kitchen table was a lovely touch. We settled in very quickly and with ease as parking was right outside the cottage. We enjoyed the very clean hot tub in the evenings after our busy days out as well as excellent carryout deliveries. Quality of food was very good. Another highlight was watching the various types of birds feeding, which we could see from the kitchen table and seating area. Especially the Woodpecker which made a regular appearance. We all enjoyed a truly relaxing break in very comfortable and private surroundings. Our check-in and check-out was effortless. Thank you George and Amanda, we will certainly be back.

Pippin - Peaceful Scottish Cottages & Hot Tub

TinaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
An absolute stunning break, our third time here. A quiet, comfortable home and a spectacular garden space for my autistic son to be himself, and my 3 Chihuahuas felt like they were in heaven. The hot tub was well used, even my elderly mum had a go. We had some lovely visits to the surrounding areas but mostly enjoyed the rest and relaxation that we all needed. We can’t wait to come back again.

House with private hot tub and views of west coast

MelanieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We absolutely loved our stay here, the hot tub made it even better. Place was immaculately clean, no faults what so ever. Basic kitchen equipment which is all you need for a few days away. Plenty of restaurants, take aways and shop within the area if you’re driving so was able to have the option there if we fancied. Access was easy and it was easy to find, we both liked how it wasn’t on a public road etc and it was so peaceful at night. We were lucky to be able to see a sunset on our first night and that was fantastic, being able to be in the hot tub and have those views was just unreal. Even on our second night the weather wasn’t the best we still loved every minute of it. We cannot recommend this enough, we will definitely be back! Thank you both again

Cottage -Annex, sleeps 8,large hot tub, sauna.

RalphRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Had a wonderful stay at Allan and Suzanne’s gorgoeus home. Perfect rural location with a short drive to local amenities. We all commented on how devine and comfortable the beds were. The entertaing kitchen/dining/living area was amazing with the huge glass windows looking over the local countryside, and has a bonus snug room with a gorgoeus fire. There were 6 of us staying and never felt we were “on top of each other”. The hot tub was just brilliant to sit with a glass of bubbles in the bubbles. We also loved the fire pit at the end off the garden to sit with a wine and watch the sunset. Can’t recommend this house enough and Allan was quick to respond with any questions we had. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay and please look out for a booking same time next year (but this time for longer 🥰).

The Coach House at Hawkstone Lodge

WilfRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The Coach House is the perfect location for a secluded, peaceful break. The kitchen and lounge area are upstairs with views over the sea and open countryside. You also have access to a large garden. Rothesay is an easy cycle or bus trip away. We stored our bikes in the log shed. Marjorie and Ronnie are excellent hosts, they provided quick and clear communication and were on hand if any problems arose. Highlights of our trip were Mount Stuart house and gardens, the Victorian fernery which is close by, Musiker and Helmi’s cafes, Bute Yard and Kingarth Hotel for an evening meal. We enjoyed our stay at the Coach House and recommend it to others.

This was our second stay at Bernard's place and it was just as we remembered. It is spacious, comfortable, practical, and in a great location. Our dogs had plenty of space in the secure private garden. We have enjoyed both stays very much as we have found it a very relaxing place to stay. We can also highly recommend the meals at The Catch at Find restaurant where we have always had a first class meal. Richard & Sharon

Idyllic place in a beautiful location - short walk to the beach and the rat race event. Was super clean, shower is great, bed comfy and perfect size for myself. I lucked out in a sunny week and the lil terrace table and chair got sunlight through the day. Lorna was super responsive and quick and efficient. Great stay in a beatific island - recommend Goat Fell and Massif hikes - thanks
