We had a wonderful time at this unique Airbnb! The location is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy peace and nature. We were particularly impressed by the excellent cuisine – every dish was a real highlight. The pool area invites you to relax, and during this time you can observe the surrounding wildlife, which is a very special experience. The house is open and very secluded, which made the place charming for us. However, this could be unfamiliar to some guests. But if you are looking for the combination of relaxation, nature and excellent food, this is the place to be! We will be happy to come back.

Channa & Ursa's place was incredible! Channa met us at the Hiriwadunna Bathing Spot and took us via tuk tuk to the boat. He came across at about 7pm to prepare our meal that Ursa had prepared. The Sri Lankan meal was so delicious & plentiful! Channa then met us at 6am the following day and took us via tuk tuk to Lion's Rock, he charged the same low price as PickMe for return! The breakfast after the Rock was super yum - an array of curries and fruits. Channa then took us back across the lake so we could head to Dambulla on the public bus. That evening, he took us out on the boat for a fish - while we didn't catch anything, it was an incredible experience & a gorgeous place to enjoy a beer & watch the sunset. The BBQ was a nice treat too! We had elephant visitors (!!) and so much wildlife like mongoose, squirrels, buffalo & birdlife - sad we didn't see the wild cats, next time ;) Channa then made sure we got on the right bus to Kandy. Thank you for a wonderful & mesmerising stay!!!

We had a fabulous stay! The view over Sigiriya Rock is spectacular and we loved being able to cool off in the pool. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Our host was very friendly and responsive. We would definitely recommend this place!

Went here to record a podcast about birdwatching. The episode is now 16 hours long. Also, there was a chameleon. It shape shifted in front of our eyes, and whilst beholding that magic, we turned our day to day stress into the wonder of our surroundings and the serenity this place beholds. Personnel was amazing. The best we’ve ever experienced. We felt sad to leave. The owners, a very nice couple, were so helpful, no high end star hotel can match that.

We felt very comfortable. Banda helped and organized us a lot with activities and recommended a great restaurant for an evening. It was very clean and there were many drinks in the fridge. The food was very tasty and there was still fresh fruit juice with it. Thanks for a great stay 😊

It's difficult to find words to explain how amazing our experience in Chamila's place was. We haven't been received as guests, we felt more like a part of the family. Chamila is very hospitable, polite and humble and she, together with the whole family, including Snowy and Scooby, made us feel welcomed, we learned a lot about Sri Lanka, we ate amazing food (!) prepared by her mother and Elena even had a chance to try on one of Chamila's beautiful saris. Not to mention that she helped us to arrange all the trips in the area (and there's much to see - Dambulla is exactly in the middle of the "cultural triangle") and that we received parting gifts which will make us remember the visit when we're back home (we would anyway!). I've been staying in hundreds of places over the years and this is definitely on my personal top three list. If you're reading this, stop looking for different accommodation. You've just found what you wanted and you will never forget this place afterwards.

We loved our stay here. We are backpacking around Sri Lanka and wanted to try something different than hostels and this was perfect. Such an experience! Animal sounds to listen to at night. So many beautiful fireflies at night. Hashan was a good host. Good at communicating and helping where help was needed. Thank you for this experience!

We enjoyed our 3 nights stay at Peter’s cabin. It gave us a wilderness feel without really being in the wild. The cabin is in the village very near the tourist town centre. The space is as the photos. The cabin was clean. The bed was comfortable enough for us. It can get warm in the day but the ceiling fan on full blast helps. Lion’s rock can be seen clearly from the cabin. Although Peter was not there, he was a great host who was friendly, responsive and made every effort to ensure we had a nice stay.
