Beautiful large home. So fortunate to bring our dogs on holiday also with a fabulous fenced section and great neighbours. Incredibly warm even in the middle of winter.

We had a lovely stay at Lisa’s place at Foxton Beach. The bach was perfect for our family of four - spacious, easy to walk/bike to the estuary and parks, a short drive to the beach. Fish and chips right next door, and games and books for the kids. Lovely deck out the back. In the middle of winter it was cosy and warm. Even a friendly visiting cat :) The bach has everything you need and more.

Absolutely loved our stay at Andrew’s, it was so peaceful and surrounded by beautiful native bush, meaning the bird life was bountiful. The house was everything we needed, the fireplaces made us feel at home and cozy. Communication was great, and Catherine was super helpful and always available for questions. We’ll be back for sure!!

This was a perfect for a weekend away. It is close to the beach and full of all day sun. The house was very clean and presented with lovely linen and touches. Rachel was so easy to deal with and very helpful. Thank you so much! We definitely recommend and look forward to returning.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was even better than it looks in the pics. The house warms up very quickly with the heat pump and it’s lovely having the fire. The set up is incredible with kids, our kids particularly enjoying the novelty of the back yard ‘sandpit/beach’ and a huge selection of toys and games for all ages. Eleisha was so easy to communicate with and super helpful. We hope to have another weekend out there sometime soon!

This was a fab place and we ended up staying an extra night. Barbara was so helpful, Sams mum and we loved the extra mile she went for us. Great stay, we will be back again, with our friends. Felt right at home, like it was our own place. Being able to bring our black lab was awesome . He loved it too parked in front of the heater xx Thanks again x

We loved the vibe of this place, soulful and colourful. It was perfect for our family gathering with adult children and partners. We absolutely loved the music installation and music choice. And fresh eggs for breakfast. We would love to come again.

Great spot in a nice quiet street

Great, relaxed little place just 5 mins walk from the beach and across the road from the delicious baked delights of the local 4 square. Comfy beds, very well stocked kitchen and a huge fenced back yard. We'd definitely go back!

Compact space but very comfortable and little touches that were much appreciated including bubbles and chocolates on Christmas Day, and lovely homemade cake on arrival. Great deck for relaxing and BBQ and easy stroll to the beach. Being able to take the dog made our short getaway more enjoyable. Thanks Christine and family for a wonderful stay.

Great cosy homestead in a lovely location with a slice of interesting history. Hosts very responsive and helpful. Will be back!

We had a lovely family time in this beautifully renovated and comfortable house in Shannon. The whole house has been tastefully decorated; the bedrooms were from pages of House and Gardens and the large kitchen had top of the line appliances. With a hearty fire and heating throughout the house, our three nights in June were warm and cosy. We had card games by the fire, visited the local Horseman Cafe and found treasures in the Shenanigans shop. Large gardens at the house and sunny patio made reading outside very relaxing. Getting away from the city with fresh air and lovely sunsets was just what we wanted. Thanks John and Eleanor.

Plenty of towels. comfy beds and such a warm home. Everything as advertised. Quiet neighborhood, the men loved the spa and we won't hesitate to stay again, just loved it.

An absolute gem! Dwayne's home is beautiful, the views are amazing and it's incredibly private and quiet. The house is well maintained and has everything you need, we were there for 2 weeks and it was great! Dwayne was quick to respond to messages in the lead up to our booking, answered all our questions, and even met us at the house to give us a guided tour and detailed handover to ensure we were all set. He also checked in during our stay to make sure everything was going well. The house is spacious and would be great for large groups, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are modern and clean (and theres lots of them!) Honestly couldn't have asked for a better property or host!

Mark, We all raved about your bach and had a fabulous time. We hired both big and small bach and accommodated all ages from 4 adults, 3 adult kids, 3 teenagers plus 1 dog It was hot and relaxing place to stay. Highly recommend and it had everything we needed.

We stayed here with 12 friends for my husband’s 30th, and it was absolutely perfect. He loves native bush and birds, so this place was a dream. The house feels like a fairytale—spacious, warm, and beautifully designed. The kitchen is well-equipped and flows easily to the patio, where we barbecued and dined outdoors. There’s a handy kitchen window for passing food outside, and both indoor and outdoor tables made it easy to adapt to the weather. The property sits on 7 acres of native bush with walking tracks, birds like piwakawakas following us, and a magical glow worm walk at night. There's an outdoor fire area with couches, ambient lighting, and a speaker system that connects throughout the house and outside. It’s perfect for reconnecting with friends and nature. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and so grateful. Huge thanks to the hosts for the clear communication and thoughtful touches. If you're thinking of booking—do it. You won’t regret it.

It was really private and peaceful here. Would come again! We loved that we could bring our dog to enjoy this beautiful space and there was even a provided dog bed 😊

We wanted a relaxing break and that’s exactly what we got at Sarah‘s quirky cottage. Loved the decor and all the games and CDs, spa pool, closeness to the beach. It was great to be able to bring our dog as well. Thank you very much, we will be back!
