One reaches the houses in 10-15 minutes walk (and stairs) from the port depending on each person's pace. Hydra is amphitheatricaly built and there are a lot of cobble stone stairs around town and leading up to the house so ...not for everyone! new mandatory government fee has been introduced: the “Climate Crisis Resilience Fee”, amountingto €8 per night for short-term accommodations

Frantzeskos House

Our house is a traditional, sunny house with two internal courtyards. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood. It is only ten minutes from the port of Hydra and is fully equipped. Four meters from the house there is a small grocery store that operates on Sundays. There are easy access to sandy beaches (Kamini, Avlaki, Mandraki) and to beaches with rocks (Spilia). The transfer of baggage upon arrival and departure will be done by us.

Easy to find, right near the port so if you have a lot of luggage, it’s a very easy walk from the ferry. Close by to a bunch of great bars and restaurants (have a meal at Ostria!). Vicky was very responsive and helpful. A great location for one or two people.

A streamlined sink is positioned beneath a round mirror. A small decorative bowl holds toiletries beside the faucet. Cucumber slices are presented on a tray, adding a touch of freshness. The surrounding walls feature subtle light-colored tiles, enhancing the room's clean aesthetic.

The apartment is very nice, clean, neat and comfortable. Chrysoula is very attentive, she left some groceries for us to eat, it's very useful when you stay just a day or two. Tip: the location on Google maps is not accurate, we recommend meeting Chrysoula at the port and walking up as the streets have no signs with names or numbers

First off, we really enjoyed our stay here! John was very responsive, and went above and beyond to help us. The apartment itself is immaculately clean and beautiful, and has everything one could possibly need to feel comfortable. Our stay here was a highlight of our trip, can’t wait to come back! :)

We had a wonderful stay at Dioni’s beautiful house. The setting and view were absolutely stunning, and the location was perfect — peaceful and quiet. From the moment we arrived, Dioni made us feel extremely welcome. She was so generous with her time and even surprised us with thoughtful gifts, which made our stay even more special. She was always happy to answer any questions we had and gave us great local tips. We couldn’t have asked for a better host or a more beautiful place to stay. Highly recommend!

Had a great stay at Gerasimos’ place! He had great communication before the stay, and met me near the port so he could walk me to the unit. The flat had everything I needed, including bottled water, an equipped kitchen, and a bottle of wine! He even left some homemade traditional treats which were delicious! Bed was very comfortable. Nice patio area to sit out at and very walkable to the port, restaurants, shops, and beaches / beach bars. Would definitely recommend this spot! Thanks for a great stay Gerasimos!

Dora’s home is an absolute dream oasis in beautiful Hydra. Dora and her family are so welcoming and helpful. The home is clean and well equipped. The bathroom is brand new. The backyard and roofdeck are so magical. It’s a few minutes walk to the port with loads of amazing restaurants and very close walk to the sea. Dora provides amazing local recommendations. You will feel like a part of the community, not a tourist. Please choose to stay with Dora, you won’t regret it.
