Cabin vacation rentals in Ozark National Forest

This cabin was in the perfect location for all of the best hiking and kayaking in the area. It's very remote, but lots of food options 30 min away. The cabin itself was adorable and cozy, it was very clean and well kept. The basement was perfect for sleeping. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The cabin was nestled in the woods, very peaceful and quiet! Loved the back covered deck!! The hot tub was relaxing after miles of hiking. The bed was comfy. Everything was clean and organized neatly. The kitchen was well stocked too. We would stay here again.

Lindsey and Heidi’s cabin was such a charming gem of a place. It was clean, cozy, peaceful, and very private! A perfect couples retreat. Her kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook full meals. My favorite detail were the white waffle knit robes. I brought clothes to wear but probably didn’t need to because I pretty much lived in the robes my entire stay!! The hosts were so responsive to my questions and even suggested some local activities that were happening the weekend we were there, which was great! I highly recommend their cabin if you are looking for a place near the Buffalo River!

This was a perfect getaway vacation, with a breathtaking view. Everything was just like the pictures, so beautiful. I would definitely recommend, to anyone that wants a view every second of the day. Wifi works great! And everything was clean. We wish we didn't have to leave so early, but we enjoyed every second of it. Thank you so much for letting us stay!

Our family stayed here for 5 nights and it was perfect! After exploring all day, it was the perfect place to come back to. Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful, and the host is very responsive. Would definitely recommend!

Loved the cabin, perfect place for me and my wife to stay during the visit of my hometown. No disturbances. Can see residence across road and below cabin when pulling in to cabin access road. AC worked great, hot tub was very nice, wood stove on porch for colder months is a great plus. Fire pit 30 yards from house and wood ready to burn. We stayed for over 5 nights and it was a great time. No complaints. Thank you Jennifer!

My wife and I loved this cabin! We stayed here for our 11th wedding anniversary. It was just the place we needed for some peace and quiet and quality time together. We loved the rocking chairs on the deck/porch, the bedroom jacuzzi, and just the overall layout of the home. It was definitely a memorable stay!

Neat little cabin away from it all! It is about 3.5 mi of gravely dirt roads and gets rockier with the steep incline to the cabin. Better have a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Be aware you may not have WiFi service. We couldn’t get it to work. Our phones also did not have service. No tv, but there is a fun record player/radio. Small charcoal grill to use. Couldn’t find a can opener, but there are other basic kitchen tools and a coffee maker with coffee available. The shared walkout overlook area was a cool feature. It extends right behind the larger cabin. We were lucky and didn’t have anyone else in that cabin. We met George, who lives in the area and oversees things. He was very kind and helpful. Nighttime is so quiet! Well, other than the wall heater that sounded like Bigfoot coming down the mountain! Do yourself a favor and use the plug in one! 5 stars though- clean and unique stay. Thanks!

We were here for eight days and very happy with everything from the first communication to check-out. Excellent hosts who truly thought of everything you might need. Lots of “extras”. Especially loved having wood provided for the fire pit. Very unexpected! Can’t wait to return.

This was my second stay in the cabin and this stay was just as great as the first. I love the cabin and the setting. Very quiet and peaceful with a quiet dirt road that is great for taking a good long walk. The cabin is very clean. Love the mini split HVAC. The main bed is very comfortable. Great front porch with rocking chairs. The hosts are always very easy to communicate with, very responsive, thoughtful, helpful and flexible. I cannot recommend their cabin enough.

My husband and I had wonderful time staying here. It was relaxing, peaceful, and the buffalo bender cabin has many little details that make it an enjoyable stay!

We planned this as a 4-day waterfall chasing adventure and Dennis and Naomi were incredibly helpful in accommodating our needs, providing us with a list of the 5 best waterfalls to see and providing us with several interactive maps that were developed by a notable "waterfall chaser". As our rental period approached, the weather forecast showed cold and rainy for our entire 4-day stay. We decided to follow through with the rental and Dennis provided additional tips on hiking in the rain. Then, I threw out my back the day before our trip was to start, but once again we decided to follow through. We arrived late at night but with Dennis' guidance were able to find Big Oak Cabin with no trouble at all. Dennis further assisted by providing a list of the 5 best short and easy waterfall trails. Dennis was extremely responsive to other requests for assistance. The vacation turned out to be one of the most memorable we've had. thank you Dennis and Naomi!!

The owner was very communicative and helpful. He was responsive to our questions about the area and gave us great advice. Our stay, which included two families (total of 10 individuals) stayed very comfortably in this space. We enjoyed being able to cook out and do a campfire/smores with the kids. Firewood was available with a fire pit, which was convenient. The kids loved playing games in the game room when they needed something to do. The porch had a picture perfect view of the mountains, and we loved being able to lounge, have coffee, and chat. Our trip to Falling Water Falls was a huge hit with everyone. We swam there most of the day and explored the area. Anyone traveling in this area should be aware of ticks and how to prepare/manage while exploring the area. Overall, we would love to return.

We had an amazing stay at the cabin. Being in the middle of nature was the best part. Sitting out on the patio at night and getting to look up at the stars is not something we get to see too often back home with city lights. Everything was exactly how described and David was very responsive when needed. We were traveling with our German shepherd and we are extremely grateful he got to join us this trip. There aren’t many airbnbs that allow pets but I’m sure glad this one does! Our fur baby was one less thing we had to worry about while gone because he was right by our side the whole time. Very surprised at how many dog friendly places there are in Fayetteville. Would highly recommend David’s place. Hope to come back and stay in one of his other locations very soon! Thank you David for everything! Can’t wait to visit again!

I can't say enough good things about this place. If you are looking for slower paced country experience, this is it. So quiet except for the birds chirping and the cows mooing. The cabin was spotless and all the extras mean so much to make you feel right at home. If you forget anything, chances are its provided at the cabin. This whole experience was definitely created with the guest in mind. It was the perfect weekend getaway for my husband and I. We unplugged from the Internet and spent quality time with each other.

Great location if you’re psyched on Arkansas climbing! Very cozy and in a quiet venue with a great view on the porch; if you’re looking for a weekend climbing stay or a couple weeks to hit up the local crags definitely book!

Brittany’s place is the perfect getaway in the mountains! The inside touches and finishes are perfect and the view and surrounding area leave nothing to be desired. The only bad thing is that I didn’t stay longer! Would definitely stay again

We had the pleasure of meeting Chay after I fumbled our checkout date! He arrived while we were packing up. I tried to extend our stay one day, but Chay had others guests arriving that evening. He was the most helpful in our situation. He looked up alternate accommodations and even offered us his personal cabin if checking out earlier than expected was going to put us in a bind. Chay was exceptional host. He provided us information, books, maps, and offered suggestions before we even asked. He kept us informed of local water levels and things you may not even think of. What a lovely place to relax and be at peace. So much wildlife to be seen and heard. It felt private but our host was close enough that we felt taken care of. Highly recommend and if we make it back to the area we'd stay again.

The pictures of this cabin do not do it justice. When you drive around the bend and see the view it’s breathtaking. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed! So many places do not have basics like seasonings, ziplocks etc. Betty had all this covered which made everything easier to plan for cooking. There were so many fireflies at night. I loved sitting on the porch and watching them. The bed was extremely comfortable! Betty was responsive quickly when we reached out. Everything about this stay was perfect. I give it 10/5 stars! We will be back for sure! There is also a lot of fun hiking around as well as some amazing food at the Ozark cafe!
