It is a fantastic location and the views of lake and mountain are lovely. The host is really responsive and easy to deal with. This is a great house for groups of friends and family wanting to get away. Lots of space and hideaways for larger groups.

Very cozy, well-kept and clean house in the countryside. You only need to bring your own groceries. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with shower. We felt very comfortable. The journey is along a kilometer-long unpaved road. You can reach it without an SUV. However, as in all of SA, an SUV is an advantage. We definitely can recommend the place!

Absolutely loved it. Earthy and private and loved every second, wanted to stay longer. Hot tub was amazing. Takes a while to heat up but is fun to test the temperature and still warm in the morning if u play it right. Pool is fantastic. Nothing to complain about.

From the moment we arrived, the host was incredibly friendly and supportive, making us feel right at home without being intrusive. The apartment exceeded all our expectations—far more than what was listed and described! Surrounded by grazing sheep, playful otters, and charming chickens, it felt like a peaceful retreat. Yet, we were pleasantly surprised to find all the modern gadgets you could expect in a big city home, from a smart TV to an air fryer. The paraffin lamp added such a lovely, cozy touch to our evenings. We were genuinely sad to leave this little slice of paradise. If you’re looking for a unique and comfortable getaway, this is the perfect spot!

We had a lovely and peaceful family breakaway. The tents have all you need to make your stay comfy while still giving a camping feel.

We had such a lovely stay! The space was not only spotless and beautifully maintained, but it also had so many thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. What stood out most was how incredibly child-friendly the place was. There were a dress up box, books, trampoline, play park and best of all - animals that kept our little ones entertained. My kids loved the animal feeding with Chisomo where they could also gather eggs from the chickens. The treasure was also quite enjoyable for both us and the kids :) The garden is so amazing!! You don’t often get to interact with the owner, and sometimes you may not want to. But this is not one of those times. And it’s a double whammy as Paul is also the former wine maker and great connoisseur. And a really welcoming guy on top of that. And he has super friendly dogs! And the way he talks about how they converted the farm from apples to vines. Plenty of ANDs… That baton passed to his son and he is doing an amazing job, the Chardonnay is something else. Nikki made our stay with her sense of humor and the way she treated my mother. Definitely a place that welcomes you.

We had a great stay at Vin’s place with our dogs. The place is clean, peaceful and the garden is beautiful. Vin is super responsive and accommodating, and full of good local recommendations !

We had two wonderful and quiet days at the start of our vacation. It was perfect! Furnished with a lot of love for detail. And there's a lot to explore on the farm. We enjoyed it very much - so much so that we booked directly for the next vacation! We look forward to it

We had such a wonderful stay here! The location is stunning and from the second we got there we just felt immediately relaxed. The view of the town and the horses is so beautiful and peaceful, the house is cozy and has everything you need, and the hot tub was clean and wonderful under the stars once it got hot. The place feels both very open while also being very private, which is rare and so nice. All the info provided was very accurate and helpful. We brought our small dog and she loved it too! Renee and Milton were very friendly and responsive hosts, and we would absolutely come back in a heartbeat.

Amazing unit in a secluded part of the farm. Very quiet and picturesque. Great restaurants and wine tasting nearby.

Everything about our experience here was amazing. The venue was even better than we had expected and communications were excellent. We all loved every moment of our long weekend away and want to come back.

I got back yesterday from a gem amongst gems !! This farm house was beautiful and cozy and the surrounds peaceful with gorgeous star-filled nights. The treats of wine, honey and coffee were amazing, I had to bring them home to continue enjoying them. I worked while I was there and wifi was perfect ( take note digital nomads :) ) My dogs had a ball and we were all very sorry to be leaving after a soul-soothing week. Trevor went above and beyond getting things ready for my stay and it was very much appreciated.

Very laid back, welcoming and pet friendly hosts. We had an incredible stay. A peaceful and humble getaway in a space that teems with historic farm cottage appeal, and the dogs enjoyed the spacious lawns for rolling around. They have dams to visit and horse riding as well!

We really enjoyed our time at Chanél’s. Very easy to find, instructions to get in clear and concise and a cozy, private breakaway from the norm. During a very cold and windy weekend, it felt as if we were separated from the extremities. A great getaway during winter months and I imagine it is fantastic in summer too. Chanél was very communicative and non intrusive. We will be planning a return at some point. What a wonderful breakaway 😍

We really had a wonderful stay at the property! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and exactly as described on AirBnB. Hanna were incredibly welcoming and went out of your way to ensure everything was perfect. The location was convenient, with easy access to stores. We especially appreciated the little touches like coffee and fast Wi-Fi. We highly recommend the accommodation for anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle-free experience! Our trip was made all the more special by our stay in Carol's beautiful home. It was full of wonderful art and artifacts and staying there was one of the highlights of our holiday. We all enjoyed the big, comfortable rooms, the lovely outside dining areas and appreciated all the amenities. The kids loved the sparkling pool and expansive, attractive garden. Carol was so friendly and relaxed and made us feel so welcome. We would wholeheartedly recommend their spot and hope we can stay there again in the near future.

The farmhouse is large, comfortable and very well equipped. The living area is spacious yet cosy with many personal touches. It was a home from home with the added bonus of being in a tranquil spot overlooking the beautiful Hemel en Aarde valley. It is well located, close to many vineyards for winetasting and about a 20 minute drive to Hermanus. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would not hesitate to come back.

Penny’s house is truly magnificent. Set in a vineyard with fantastic vistas towards the mountains and False Bay. The house was very spacious, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We also made use of the cottage attached to the main house, which was very convenient. There is plenty to do in the broader surrounds, so well worth a stay. We will certainly stay again.

We spent four days in this beautiful house and were very pleased. Penny was always responsive and accommodating. The house is perhaps only a year old and in really top condition. The same goes for the many kitchen appliances and utensils. Thank you so much for letting us stay here!

What a magical place. The house has enough space and amenities that it’s lovely in both warm and cold weather. The location is so beautiful and Jannie was an extremely friendly and helpful host. This was our second time here and we will definitely continue coming back here.
