Lovely relaxing stay. Very peaceful!! Lovely fittings and furnishings. Just no door on the toilet area though. Its all open plan. But sauna was a welcome treat after the days hiking. Will be back.

Amelia’s place was absolutely outstanding. Our room was immaculate, the bed was so comfortable. Towels and linen were so soft and the outside area was perfect too. The whole place was superb and we would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay here. We will definitely stay here when we return next year. Amelia was a great host, very responsive and helpful.

I traveled with my 76 year old mom and sister both of whom are very picky and clean (as am I) to visit friends in the Cape Town area. We chose Hester’s place because of the area, proximity to the beach, size of property, because we needed 2 bathrooms, and obviously value for our money. All boxes were checked. However, when we got to the property, and met Hester, we were given a tour of the property and immediately felt like we were family. We really appreciated all the basics, including shampoo, body wash, cream, coffee, sugar, milk and even half dozen fresh eggs laid by her very friendly chickens. We really enjoyed our stay and my mom’s main comment was always how much she felt at home. I would have liked to spend more time getting to know Hester and her husband better but we had a busy schedule. We’re planning on coming back with the rest of the family next year. Thank you for your hospitality, I trust you will bless many more guests at your wonderful property.

After staying in strand at various places, we can safely say this was by far the most amazing space we have ever had a chance to stay in. Just absolutely beautiful. Eva-Maria was such a responsive host! If we don’t buy our own place for next year we definitely hope we can stay here again!

A lovely place to stay. The bed is very comfortable, the room is spacious and the details (bath, towels, hairdryer, seats for in the garden, sauna) are excellent. We would love to come back to this place and would highly recommend it to others!

Everything written in the previous reviews is true. We spent 5 nights at C'est la Vie #1 and loved every minute of our stay. Amelia is a great host and will respond within a few minutes to answer all your questions. She will do her best to accommodate al requests. We had nice evenings outside on our terrace with fantastic views over the mountains. Comfy bed and great rain shower in the bathroom. We also liked the open plan layout. Also spent some time in the sauna. Unfortunately the weather was too cold and rainy to use the pool. We walked to the main street, very safe neighbourhood and a 12 minute walk. There is a lot to do in and around Franschhoek. The only thing that I would recommend if you want to sit outside in the afternoon is to book #4, 5 or 6. You will enjoy the sunset longer. We had a great time at Amelia's and would gladly stay there again.

We had an incredible stay at Miriam’s house, from the moment we arrived. We were impressed by the attention to detail and warm welcome The location was perfect, offering both peace and quiet. Also sea view 👌 Our host was responsive, friendly and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed.

Loved my stay at this accommodation. Very neat, clean and tidy and has all the essentials that were needed. Close to restaurants, beach and beautiful views of sea and mountain.
