Quiet and clean. We had the most lovely stay. Animals are very friendly. Definitely recommended!

We had a lovely stay at Judith's. Judith is very warm and helpful. Responded directly to questions and assisted where possible. At the property there is a lovely garden with evening sun. The space itself is very neat and has great beds. Bathroom and kitchen (without cooking facilities) are functional. Balk and surroundings are beautiful!

The stay is worth the price. However, it is worth having your own basic equipment of kitchen ingredients with you, if you want to cook as wonderfully with the wonderful view from the kitchen to the sea;-). (You will have to buy everything - salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, spices, etc.) But the jumbo in the village is a great shop (7 min. in the car) and the essentials would also be available in the campsite shop. 4 minutes by car/10-15 min. by foot) However, the towels for the bathroom are offered and included. You don't need to bring anything. Look forward to unforgettable days at sea!

Great place. Close to nature. Well equipped. We were on a work trip and found the quietness great for after a stressful day.

We were visiting a relative in the area. The venue suited our needs very nicely. Home from home (once we got used to the stairs). A version of the Guidance Book in English would be very useful. If we venture into Drenthe again, we will certainly look to see if Irene’s home is available.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Beautiful spacious chalet, comfortably furnished. Very quiet surroundings. For activities you had to drive a bit but that was fine too. On the way you can see a lot of nature and a lot of animals. Check-in and communication were hassle-free. We got very quick feedback. The value for money was very good here. We have already recommended the place to others. Thank you!

We loved our stay in this cute old cottage style home. It was a bit longer of a walk from parking to the home than expected , but the path was a short stroll along a lovely canal over a bridge to our destination. There were some beautiful swans greeting us and it felt very idyllic. It was a short (maybe 10 min) drive away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy traffic. We walked (maybe 5 min) along the canal path to a nice restaurant and had dinner. Eva was lovely and I would recommend her place if you are looking for the quaint feel of a traditional canal home without all the noise and foot traffic of a lot of tourists:)

We enjoyed a wonderful stay with our family. The house has all the comforts and has a fantastic hot tub, which we thoroughly enjoyed. From the house there are countless fun activities to do. For example, we spent a day at Schiermonnikoog and visited the WEC and Pieterburen. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to explore the Lauwersmeer extensively, but we'll keep that for next time. The city of Groningen is also easily accessible from the house. In short: absolutely recommended!
