Isle of Mull, Ormaig self-catering cottage Lochdon

NeilRating, 5 stars2 months ago
What a place to stay!! From the initial booking and super communications with Steve, we’ve enjoyed the best few days in Scotland ever!! The bothy is in the most idyllic location on Mull, but at the same time only a short drive from the ferry terminal. We were met by Steve on our arrival (earlier than expected as the cottage had been free the day before..this gave us half a day extra really!) and showed around the property…wow, wow and WOW!!! The design, the immaculate presentation, the comfiest of beds..an absolute credit to Steve who has put so much thought and effort into such a wonderful place..and the view…well, there aren’t any words!!! We were blessed with beautiful weather whilst spending our few days exploring parts of the island (the bird life is exceptional!!) but if the weather had been different, we could’ve very happily stayed in the cottage just watching the tide roll in and disappear again!! Thankyou so much for letting us stay..we’ll see you again soon!! Jill and Neil

The Wee Hut

NatashaRating, 5 starstoday
My partner and I had one of the most memorable stays ever at the wee hut! It was a peaceful, positive and lively environment, being situated on a working farm. The view was breathtaking. Rosie was so kind and helpful - she really went out of her way to accommodate us. We left feeling so joyful and rested. We would 100% stay there again if we’re in the area!

The Wee Hoosie

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Catherine’s place. It was very reasonably priced for Islay, where the accommodation is expensive. Very well laid out and we had everything we needed for our 6 night stay. Great location for walking into Port Charlotte and exploring the island by bike. WiFi was a bit erratic for us but adequate and 4G was fine when needed. Besides, WiFi a very low priority in such a beautiful place - much better to switch off!

Wow, what an amazing joke , all the finishing touches in the air bnb made us feel at home ! There’s plenty of entertainment for those cosy nights in and sharing the bottle of red from the welcome hamper made our first night ! We cannot fault this air bnb in any way and we cannot wait to come back ! This has surpassed all other homes we have stayed in, thank you Tricia and Frank !

Lovely, comfortable home to be in especially when the weather is not ideal. The living space upstairs was very homey, with lots of light and views over the surrounding countryside. Comfortable armchairs and the air pump kept the whole place nice and warm. Loved all the windows giving different views of surroundings. Kitchen very well stocked and easy to use. The local dog, and cat, came out to greet us too. Highly recommend.

Sanaigmore Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at Margaret's place on Islay. The house was spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, and we appreciated the separate washer and dryer. There are lovely walking pathways nearby, and we had some delicious dinners in the immediate area at the Port Charlotte Hotel and Lochindaal Seafood Kitchen. This is definitely a quieter part of the island.

Fabulous round house on the west coast of Scotland

JamesRating, 5 stars1 week ago
David and Clare’s “The Drum” is a real gem! It was the perfect sanctuary for us to relax and unwind for 6 days. We enjoyed their supper club (exquisite, fine dining) (the best) by Clare and perfectly hosted by David. We loved swimming in the Loch opposite through the golden gate, lighting fires in the evenings. And the incredible silence. Peace. Beautiful experience. Check out the Crinan canal and go for lunch in Crinan. Spectacular views. Take a short cruise up the canal. Thank you so much.

The Turret – luxury sea view apartment

LouiseRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Lovely place to stay. The apartment is spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. The views are stunning and make sitting and relaxing very enjoyable. We are out several evenings in Oban and there are some good local restaurants (we didn’t mind the easy 30 minutes walk there and back). During the day we took advantage of the excellent walking in the area, particularly enjoying climbing Ben Cruachan. But there was also plenty to do nearby with Dunollie Castle, a distillery and a boat trip to Kerrera our favourites. Thanks for hosting us!
