I really enjoyed 3 days in Balk with the very friendly Judith and Jeroen. Beautiful homestay, super clean and tidy. Beautiful area within walking distance of Slotermeer. Beautiful garden with various seating areas where you can relax and read breakfast. The surroundings are also beautiful, in my opinion the most beautiful part of Friesland. I would 100% recommend this homestay and I will definitely return here. Thank you very much for everything!

The stay is worth the price. However, it is worth having your own basic equipment of kitchen ingredients with you, if you want to cook as wonderfully with the wonderful view from the kitchen to the sea;-). (You will have to buy everything - salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, spices, etc.) But the jumbo in the village is a great shop (7 min. in the car) and the essentials would also be available in the campsite shop. 4 minutes by car/10-15 min. by foot) However, the towels for the bathroom are offered and included. You don't need to bring anything. Look forward to unforgettable days at sea!

We were visiting a relative in the area. The venue suited our needs very nicely. Home from home (once we got used to the stairs). A version of the Guidance Book in English would be very useful. If we venture into Drenthe again, we will certainly look to see if Irene’s home is available.

We had a very nice stay as a family! Everything was as described. Surroundings is quiet and beautiful, with dog there are walking routes directly from the house. Everything was very clean and overall very well equipped. The beds were comfortable.

The cottage is as shown in the photos and equipped with every comfort! Everything has been thought of. At the table you can sit with a view of the water where many birds can be seen. When we arrived there was snow and ice which was beautiful to see. In the second half of the week it was so hot that we could sit outside. We have enjoyed the place and the silence. Cozy, clean and spacious apartment. Communication with Christa was smooth and friendly. We were very neatly received by Christa's father. Getting up with a view of the meadows was delightful!

We had a wonderful stay at Jill's place. The location was amazing - located right on the water, overlooking the sea. The beach is within 5 minutes walking distance. In the resort, you could rent a boat and dock directly at your own jetty at the house and a few meters further out directly onto the sea. We will be happy to come back. :-)

We spent a wonderful week at Aagje in Een-West. Beautiful spacious house with a lovely garden. Good beds. We met wonderfully sunny weather. Since it is still early in the year, it was also wonderful to sit in the igloo greenhouse at the end of the afternoon;where it was warmed up by the sun. Aagje is a very sweet hostess;cheerful,interested and always willing to give information about the beautiful surroundings.
