We frequent Warick, NY often. The Warwick Inn was a delightful stay. The apartment style B & B included a large modern bathroom with a shower, laundry facilities, a kitchen with a variety of appliances, a quaint kitchen area, a small living room and a large bedroom. It is above a lovely restaurant with outdoor dining and a modern bar area. We could not hear the guests below. It was a perfect location and a perfect stay. It is located in the heart of Warwick, NY and close to several of the wineries. There are several restaurants and shopping within walking distance. It is truly a little hidden gem. Thanks to Gabriella, our host, she was able to secure a weekend for us in the country - last minute. Roseann Affinito

Trestle - Caldwell House Bed & Breakfast

The Caldwell House is located in the heart of the lower Hudson Valley near West Point, Storm King Art Center, Brotherhood Winery and the Woodbury Common. This guestroom is named for the nearby historic landmark, the Moodna Viaduct Trestle, which crosses the local valley. The length of the trestle is nearly two thirds of a mile, and it hovers nearly 20 stories above the ground. The Trestle Room is furnished with a lovely queen-size maple bed, lush bedding, a stately antique maple bureau and a lovely elevated electric fireplace. The room’s private en-suite bath comes with a shower. Charming, comfortable, and evoking days gone by, this room is perfect for celebrating special occasions or simply enjoying some time away! After feasting on one of Dena’s famous breakfasts, you can take a leisurely stroll down to see the Moodna Viaduct Trestle and take in the breathtaking sight made famous by its appearance in the movie Michael Clayton starring George Clooney. After that, it’s onward to explore the beautiful Hudson Valley. What a hidden gem in the beautiful Hudson Valley wine country- I almost want to keep it a secret so it doesn’t become too popular! Everything about our trip was great from initial outreach and questions with Victor about booking, to day of check in, and all of the tips and hospitality from Victor the owner and all staff, especially Angelo. We lucked out with good weather for most of the trip as well. We sampled an array of amazing wines at Benmarl and also participated in the Fineries at the Wineries event and was able to hop around and try other wineries as well, and then end our night with a fire in the fireplace and a few glasses of wine back in the b&b. Victor prepared an amazing cheese plate and pizza Saturday night as well - highly recommend to try the food on the weekends. We would definitely come back whether for a day trip or to stay over in the b&b again.

Very peaceful and beautiful scenery, with huge backyard. Hosts are welcoming and helpful and gave us good recommendations for places to eat. Dan was also very friendly. We had the first floor room with private bath. Bed was comfortable. The only toiletry items available were hand soap and toilet paper, no shower amenities, so plan ahead. Towels were provided. One last comment, the first floor bedroom opens to the kitchen so you hear all sounds in the morning and hear people walking up and down stairs, so if you want to sleep in, don’t pick the first floor room. Overall a nice relaxing experience at this bed/breakfast.

I would highly recommend a stay here!!!! I enjoyed peace, quiet and relaxation in the Artist’s Loft. Very comfortable stay and I loved having restaurants in walking distance to the B&B. I also loved taking pictures of the flowers growing in front of the home and a yummy coffee on the rocking chair porch. Thank you!!!

The views from Christina and Dan’s property are exquisite. The bed was super comfy….and I would say I’m a little fussy and won’t even consider a home with a frumpy looking bed. I did not realize that the bathroom was not en-suite when I booked (another thing I’m fussy about) but we did not have to share it. The bathroom was clean, new and beautifully done, but make sure to pack your shampoo. This was a last minute booking, I was focused on location and did not check reviews, so a pleasant surprise was bagels and fruit in the morning. All and all I can see why Christina and Dan are super hosts.

My fiancée and I stayed one night to get away from the city. The house and our room were beautiful and clean, absolutely no complaints. Hot tub/jacuzzi and fireplace in the room were amazing! Dena gave us a great recommendation for dinner and the breakfast she made for us the next morning was delicious. John was a pleasure to talk to during breakfast. The house is also very conveniently close to a lot of great hiking. We had a great time!
