Vacation rentals with a kayak in Onslow County

I’ve stayed in many Airbnbs and have finally found a home worth every penny spent. Kim keeps this home away from home in pristine condition with every creature comfort available from slippers to comfy throws and snacks with dietary restrictions in mind. The location of the home is a short walk from some of the best views and restaurants in Swansboro with a great park which my daughter enjoyed! Do not hesitate to stay here and enjoy it as much as we did!

Michael has a lovely clean home with lots of things to do. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place to spend spring break with the kids and grandparents. Centrally located to lots of things to do (hiking, beach, shopping). Kitchen was well stocked and user friendly. Game room was a huge hit across all generations of the family. Godzilla art was icing on the cake for game room decorations. The kayaks were great and fun to use in such a beautiful area. Although we didn't catch much the dock was set up for fishing and crabbing. Pogies down the road was great for fishing and family boat fun. Owners were very responsive and made sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation.

Shawn and Melissa’s place was the absolute perfect retreat for our family. After coming off 8 months of intense medical treatments, my tribe needed a break!! This house and location was ground zero for some much needed decompression. We primarily rented it for the outdoor amenities, and although the weather didn’t always cooperate, we were able to make use of just about everything - it did not disappoint!! The kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens we have ever experienced and it was greatly appreciated. We are a bike-riding family and the location to everything Topsail offered was within a bike ride away! With 6 adults and two children, the layout of the house allowed us to gather together for meals in comfort, and retreat to our own spaces when needed. We highly recommend The Kraken.

Chad was responsive from the moment we booked his beautiful home until the moment we checked out. He has thought of everything to make the stay a restful experience. He was proactive in ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the stay. The home is down a quiet street near beautiful beaches and has access to the river which we enjoyed kayaking on. We had a great stay and look forward to booking Chad’s place in the future.

Very nice spot in Surf City, very spacious and conveniently located, near most of places in town and to Topsail and other beches for day trips. The house is well stock with all essentials you need for weekend break and even more, just perfect for up to two families with kids, my kids always enjoy bunk beds and games. Kayaks were a plus, all in good shape and dock is very near just to walk. Nick was very responsive and prompt for any questions, will return when visiting Wilmington.

Beautiful location in a quiet neighborhood! We loved spending time on the dock at the house & at the beach. Clubhouse parking made it easy to take beach gear (like chairs, cooler, etc) with us. We also appreciated the host’s hospitality & responsiveness in communications.

This was one of our favorite vacation rentals ever. The location along the canal was so quiet and peaceful. We used the paddle boards and kayaks, and spent so much time outside at the the dock in the evenings. Our kids enjoyed fishing. We rented the golf cart for the week which made trips to the beach quick and easy. The house was very well stocked with paper products, condiments, and basic cooking supplies. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood quiet at night. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for everything Mindy!

We had a great long weekend stay. The house exceeded our expectations, was spacious and the views were incredible. Only a half mile drive to the bridge leading to the surf city pier.

We loved everything about his place. My grandkids loved the dock because they could fish right in the backyard and we could see them from the back decks. We saw dolphins a few morning and even saw a stingray from the dock. Frederick was an awesome host. We would love to come back early spring or fall so they could catch some fish. Thank you we made some great memories! Beautiful and so peaceful!

The host did a great job of having everything we needed. She goes above and beyond on extra things around the property. Would happily stay again.

I cannot recommend this place enough! the reason we chose this spot was the dock and yard for kids to play. there are plenty of beach front properties to choose from in the area but this place is special. a home away from home. the options for outside relaxing were amazing and truly offered spaces for fun and fostering connection with each other. we played wifle ball, flew kites, and took out the kayaks for an adventure of a life time exploring the near by islands and shallow water ways across the bay. every day was full of adventure, shell treasures, and ended with porch sitting and corn hole. our hearts were full and truly sad to leave. I'm already planning our next visit.
