Beautiful place to get away from it all and have peace and quiet.

Wow. This seaside cottage is simply amazing. Its charming, homely and authentic, nothing grand, nothing fake, nothing ostentatious, but tastefully decorated (the attention to detail is perfection) and with everything one needs, ample plug points, extra comfy blankets and a fully stocked kitchen. The fireplace creates the perfect ambiance for winter days and cosy nights. The ocean view is magical. Sitting and reading while listening to the ocean on an extraordinary long builtin couch was pure bliss. We were lucky to have two beautiful sunny days despite it being May and used the fireplace area at the back for a family braai which was more affirmation this house is perfect for every season. To us with all its character and charm this is the quintessential South African beach cottage..

We loved our stay at Lydia's place in Hermanus. Beautiful mountain views, garden and birds, and direct access to mountain walks whilst reasonably close to Voelklip beach. It had all the amenities that our family needed and a lovely authentic and rustic feel.

We had a superb stay at this immaculate and welcoming home! The house was incredibly spacious, with beautiful linen, comfortable beds, and great bathrooms—everything was spotless and thoughtfully prepared. We loved relaxing by the wonderful log burner and appreciated the TV and Wi-Fi. The location couldn’t be better: close to Grotto Beach, shops, and the mall—everything we needed was right on our doorstep. Ciska was a superb host—her instructions were clear, and she was always professional, friendly, and amenable. This stay ticked every single box for us. We just loved the place and would highly recommend it!

We loved staying here, we were two families of 4 and there was more than enough space for all of us. It felt like staying in a real home (which is was!!) and not a typical airbnb just set up to rent out. Loved it, we walked to the beach a few times, a 15 minute walk. The tiny pool is great for a morning cold plunge. :)

Very nice apartment with stunning views!! Everything is as advertised and more! The inverter a nice touch and helped us with a prolonged power outage. The only small niggle is to maybe have a torch or flashlight handy for cases of prolonged power outages. Even the inverter ran out and we only had power back by 19:00, after dark. The load shedding bulbs do help but a torch or light will make life much easier. Otherwise an excellent place and we enjoyed ourselves!

We had an amazing few days of rest and relaxation. Amazing beach views, extremely neat and tidy unit and the hostess was super friendly.

We had a wonderful 6-night stay at Alison’s place over the Easter weekend 🏡 Alison and Deirdre were warm, friendly, and gave clear instructions. The home was just like the photos—clean, cozy, private, with plenty of space for parking 🚗. Our daughter loved all the toys and games 🧸🎲, keeping her entertained throughout our stay. The braai area was fantastic 🔥, and we cooked every day, feeling completely at home 🍳. The location was perfect—Whale Coast Mall with Checkers and Woolies was nearby 🛒, and the beach plus amazing restaurants were within walking distance 🏖️🍽️. It was a peaceful and relaxing spot for our family to unwind. We felt welcomed, and the home had all the comforts we needed. The hospitality was outstanding, and we appreciated all the thoughtful touches throughout the house. We’ll definitely be back—especially once the whales are in Hermanus! 🐋💙

Kurzfristig konnten wir für einige Tage unterkommen und waren begeistert von dem freundlichen Empfang, dem schönen Haus und dem bis ins Detail ausgestattete Inventar. Zu Fuß ist man zügig in der Stadt und am GearingsPoint. Klare Empfehlung für diese schöne Unterkunft.

We were very happy with our stay as it was lovely and peaceful. The secure and shaded parking was an added plus. It was a short distance from the cliff path and an easy walk into the centre of Hermanus. We much appreciated the little extras and the presentation of the towels. Everything was spotlessly clean. The bed, pillows and linen deserve a special mention as they were so comfortable to sleep in. Thank you. Highly recommended.

Adri und Gert sind zwei liebenswerte Menschen. Wir wurden gleich nett empfangen und hatten eine schöne Zeit in diesem schönen Airbnb. Obwohl keine Walsaison war, haben wir regelmäßig die hier ansässigen Bryde-Wale und Delfine vom Haus aus gesehen. Omega was a kiff host with great and efficient communication skills! Her place was just what was needed... rustic and had a solid 'break away' experience- cultural and nature vibes! Down to earth

We had a perfect stay at Debbie's Fish Eagle cottage. The cottage is beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. The hot tub was a win. We loved being so deep in nature. The dam was perfect for us to paddle on. Debbie and James her assistant were friendly and helpful. It was a slice of heaven. Thankyou for the perfect getaway.

Great cabin for the holidays. Spent 5 days here, felt right at home. Everything you need is in this cabin. Nearby clubhouse and shop was great for kids. Almost no need to drive out of the estate, the shop was surprisingly well stocked…a great addition to Middelvlei. Pristine pools as well. We visit Meerenbosch often, each timber cabin is a gem on its own. Thank you Lynn and Anchen, we had an amazing stay.

Very quiet and peaceful. Off the beaten path and unplugged from reality. We really enjoyed it.

Die Lage am Meer und der Lagune ist wirklich toll - ein schöner Ort zum Entspannen. Die Küche ist auch super ausgestattet! Die Kommunikation mit Hans lief auch klasse.
