Monthly Rentals in Ofu

We loved our stay at Lucky’s. We had just come from Neiafu where we’d been for a few days and this was such a lovely change of pace. Totally remote, right on the beach, cute wee house - so peaceful. Kurt was really helpful and friendly throughout our stay (and in advance) as well, and helped us book our taxi to Lucky’s and then to the airport at the end of the stay. As mentioned in the listing there is no WiFi, and we also missed the note about digicel reception being bad so we had almost no service while we were there. That was fine with us but just something to note. Bring insect repellent too as, being right on the water, there are mosquitos around.

This is a beautiful location with basic but comfortable accommodation. The stand out for us were the managers who live on site. Jennifer and Lona and their children are the most helpful and friendly people you could meet. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and help us get around Vavaú. The snorkeling in the lagoon is fantastic compared to what we found when we went to Tonga tapu.

This island is truly paradise on earth. The accommodation is not a luxury resort - it’s basic but clean and very cosy. Our hosts were so lovely and welcoming and we had some of the best day of our lives. We had the beautiful beaches to our selves where we collected young coconuts to drink. We can highly recommend this place to all adventures out there.
