Apartment vacation rentals in Ocracoke Island

It was the perfect spot for our mini get away. I loved the location, especially the ice cream shop just a couple houses down! The Tavern restaurant was in walking distance, along with a deli! Everyone was very friendly. Price was very reasonable, especially for a last-minute booking. Thank you for getting us in an hour earlier too! We had a wonderful time, our doggie too!

Enjoyed a quiet and relaxing few days in Ocracoke. House is split with second flooring being a 2 bedroom, 1 bath with a little efficiency kitchen. It worked well for my family for a few days. On a canal. Very peaceful and serene. Easy to get around island. Had a little hiccup checking in but host was responsive and nice. We would stay again.

Thank you so much Wendy for letting me stay at your beautiful home away from home. It was very clean, peaceful, and private! Wendy made an effort to come outside and talk with us a few times to see how we enjoyed the house, if we needed any recommendations, and to make connections. 10/10!

Rocking Hat Retreat was awesome, quiet, comfortable, private off the beaten path a bit, very clean. I liked the gated drive, felt a little secure being there. Parking under the building was nice. It was a really nice pplace to kick back and relax after a day of driving and a day in the beach, wish we could have stayed longer! Jayme was onsite when we arrived and very helpful in restraint selection (Mad Crabber) very informative on local amenities as well. We will return ! Thank you Jayme!

Taylor was a great host. He was very responsive and accommodating for our stay. He also provided great recommendations for places to get some food. Taylor was also very flexible with check in/check out. Overall, Taylor was very accommodating and cannot emphasize his customer service enough to us this past weekend.

Wes and Rhonda's Airbnb was a wonderful retreat tucked away in a local neighborhood. We try to make an annual trip to the area in this was our favorite place to stay of our all trips to Hatteras Island. The unit has a lovely bedroom and kitchenette, decorated with Rhonda's original artwork. There is a washer and dryer and a spacious bathroom, which is just what we needed after a long day at the beach. The porch looks out onto a oak tree with gorgeous Spanish moss hanging from the branches. We even got a few visits from our hosts adorable cats! Wes was very friendly and commutative, he proactively texted to check in and provide instructions. If you stay at this lovely spot, we highly recommend stopping by Red Drum Pottery to grab some of Rhonda's pottery and artwork to bring some memories back home with you!

Beautiful space! Loved sitting on the porch in the trees and walking around back to the pier for sounds views. Easy short walk to ocean side beach access. BYO beach towels and A/C runs cold so bring cozy clothes for inside (appreciated the extra blankets in the closet).

The location was perfect! It was walking distance from the beach and the shrimp shack! As well as a 5 min drive from a DG! The outside of the property looks a little rough and needs some love but the room was fantastic! Super clean! Everything was placed just right it was like I was in a 5 star hotel room! The host was on it when it came to communication as soon as I booked! Even the morning of check out he made sure to communicate what needed to be done before hand! Over all we will definitely remember this little gem of a place and stay when we come back!

Have no fear staying here! Bonnie’s place is amazing and a wonderful location. It was easy to find and so comfortable. It’s perfect for a couple’s getaway to the Outer Banks. Bonnie was so friendly and available for any questions we had. Very very clean place with a comfortable bed!

Meredith is a great host! Very communicative and responsive. She was accommodating towards our needs. I’d stay again considering how clean and quiet the room was!

Perfect for two of us plus our dog. The deck is lovely with new furniture and the view can’t be beat. Easy bike or golf cart ride to the Village and the owners are friendly and responsive.

We enjoyed our stay at Nikki’s apartment very much. The space is very clean, inviting and had all the amenities listed on the description. The photos are accurate and reflect the second floor apartment well. We like to cook a few meals while traveling and found all the pots, pans and utensils we needed in the kitchen. New appliances are also available. It is located in a peaceful, quiet and safe neighborhood. Nikki and her husband were friendly and available if needed. Would definitely consider returning again.

Very nice and very clean place near the beach and centrally located. The host's family is so quiet that it feels like you've reserved the whole house even though you're staying in the bottom floor. Host responds to texts very promptly and is very helpful. Her place was very clean and had a wonderfully stocked kitchen. Comfortable bed and a quiet neighborhood allowed for restful nights which is a nice change from beach-side locations which can be noisy.

This stay was wonderful. The place was very comfortable, clean, and exactly as described. It’s located in a quiet, peaceful area that’s not busy at all—perfect for a relaxing getaway. We loved how private it felt, with no noise or crowds nearby. The best part was the million dollar, unobstructed view of the ocean—absolutely breathtaking and worth every penny. Nancy was very responsive, making check-in and communication seamless. We would definitely stay here again!

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the Best Nest and would highly recommend it! The apartment was very clean, well furnished, and comfortable. It has a lovely deck where we enjoyed sitting and listening to the sounds of the ocean. The little kitchen area was perfect for our needs and well supplied. The bathroom was very spacious and the thick towels and robes were great. It was closer to the beach than I had realized- just a couple minute walk past some houses and over a small sand dune. We enjoyed the waves, shells, and the small number of people on the beach! The outdoor shower at the house was super nice when we got back. It is also close to restaurants, horse back riding, and the Okracoke Island ferry. Don't hesitate to book!

My sister and I came for a birthday weekend getaway at the beach and this place was perfect. Beach access was very close and in early May, there were very few people. Coffee shops and other restaurants/attractions were only a few minutes down the road. Having 2 beds was great in this studio apartment. The area was safe and quiet. Would highly recommend staying here!

Rory was a very friendly host. He was so quick to respond from start to finish along with ensure we were able to securely get in. His place is exactly as listed and pictured. Very clean, quiet, easy accessible to the beach. The beach was beautiful not crowded. Highly recommend for many reasons! Thank you for making our stay perfect!

We were very pleased with Watermens retreat, the house was very nice and was exactly as described.

Fantastic views, cozy, great bed… lots of positives to say about this gem! The owners were very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Fantastic back porch overlooking the Pamlico Sound. Very quick drive to Hatteras and Buxton, where there are plenty of fantastic restaurants. And a huge hot tub!

I highly recommend this place. Everything was seamless with our stay. Location was perfect with amazing quiet beaches and great restaurants and shops. Airbnb was quiet and felt like home.

We loved staying at the Casa Crews! Super short walk to the beach. William provides you with a beach buggie, umbrella, chairs, and everything you could need for a great time. The hot tub and outdoor space was fantastic. The Airbnb was spotless, super cozy, and the bed was very comfortable! It is located in the center of Outer Banks which allowed us to explore the north and south stretch. It is located in a more rural community, compared to Kill Devils. William was always responsive and provided us with amazing recommendations and their guide book was 10/10!

Location was great, short walk to some good restaurants and the beach. Beach access is a little unclear. You have to walk to the end of the road you’re staying on then cut left through a cutout in the bush line, then go to the right down that street and you can basically cut through any of those houses side yards as they are all vacation properties that seem to allow public access to the public beach. There are several blue signs in those yards that say beach and you can see the footpath over the dunes behind them. Place was nice, would definitely stay there again. Staff was friendly.
