Monthly Rentals in Ocotal Beach

OBSESSED. The views, the space, the communication, the location… y’all. We’re sooooooo happy with our stay!!! We felt like kids in a candy shop exploring this house. It’s just SO beautiful. The decor and amenities inside are super thoughtful. The views are breathtaking!! We loved sitting on the porch sipping coffee, reading, etc. We loved the proximity to Father Rooster’s—a sweet little restaurant close by. It’s super tourist-friendly, but still felt authentic. Check in was smooth, after making contact with the on-site security (which we greatly appreciated!!). Communication with our host throughout the process was flawless! A couple of things to note: 1) The A/C units worked perfectly in the bedrooms; keeping the main living area cool during the heat of the day was a little tougher. But you are in Central America, after all! 2) The main bed was too soft for us. 3) Keep in mind that CR is a developing country, this house is on the edge of the neighborhood, and CR driving is nutty!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Susana’s place, and would definitely recommend it. The space is safe, close to the beach, & we felt very comfortable there for our 12 day stay. Susana is very responsive, & helpful. A few maintenance issues during our stay, but they were manageable & not a huge deal. The ants can be controlled by keeping compostables out of the garbage can, & keeping the garbage tied up. You might see the odd gecko in the house too, but it’s very typical for Costa Rica. The neighbours are lovely, & kind, offering tips & advice for the area. There is a coral restoration project at Ocotal that you can snorkel to, & we were able to snorkel with sea turtles, manta rays, & many more species. A quick Uber ride into Coco for nightlife & restaurants. Susana’s place has plenty of amenities, A/C, dishes, linens, towels, a cooler, a BBQ, and beach chairs. The pool is perfect; quiet, surrounded by foliage, & there’s an outdoor shower by the pool so you can rinse off beach sand.

Our stay at Villa la Pacifica was amazing! Andrew and Brenda are great hosts. They were helpful, courteous, and prompt in all of their communications from beginning to the end. The home is perfect. We were a group of three couples, and it couldn't have been a better setup for us. The home is very clean inside and out. It is stocked with anything you'd need to prepare meals (which we did numerous times). The location of the home was just right. The walk down to the beach was short (as in other reviews). Although we drove down most days. Then the short drive to town was the perfect as well. Everything you need is within minutes. We're already talking about taking our families to CR and Andrew and Brenda will be my first contact. Thanks for the great memories!
