Vacation rentals with a kayak in Occidental Mindoro

Big house with a big, well equipped kitchen/living room that is nice to hang out with your friends or family. The balcony is also great, with a nice partial view of the sea and green surroundings. It has permanent water and electricity. It has a washing machine, which is a plus. This place was very good value for the money, and Sir Jean Yves is a nice folk who is always willing to help and make you feel comfortable at his place.

I just want a getaway and stay in a place where there's a bathtub with a view for relaxation. But April's place exceeds my expectation. From the spotless room to amazing view specially at sunset, worth every penny. It's overwhelming to stay here where in all your needs are met. April is also responsive and very informative. For the ocean, if you're the adventurous type who loves diving and snorkling, this place is for you. But if you're sensitive with rocky beach, prepare yourself. Also, surroundings along the beach is a little bit noisy but no worries since the room is located on top of the building, it's still peaceful inside. Overall, our stay is exceptional and worth it.

We booked this place at short notice. We were a large party and Jefril was very accommodating from the moment we made contact. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and responsive to our requests. The bar was a great addition and the menu offered good food at very reasonable prices if cooking was not on your agenda. Boats were on hand to take you across water, plus a jet ski, diving and kayaking (needed maintenance) all available - again at reasonable prices - if you wanted to be more adventurous. The house overall was good although the photos were a little dated, but as long as you weren’t planning on spending most of your time in the house, it shouldn’t really bother you.

The driftwood cottage was a great stay, it was very clean and comfortable and fit the desciption very well. The crew is what makes this place exceptional, they arranged everything for us from motorbike rentals to a ride on their cousin’s boat to get us to Abra de Ilog. I don’t know how else we would have gotten there! Food and cocktails in the tiki bar next door are great and they stand ready morning, afternoon and evening to serve you. The location is very quiet and away from anything exciting to do, but for us this was a plus. Diving or eating out is 10-30 minutes away by motorbike or tricycle. 5 stars and I advise you stay here when you want to stay in or around Puerto Galera.

Our family loved the place! It had all we needed for our 3 days-2 nights stay. The beach front view was perfect especially during low tide. We enjoyed snorkeling and even saw a hawksbill turtle at the house reef. Such an amazing experience. And yes, the sunset view was also one for the books.

It’s clear why Maria’s place consistently gets five star reviews. The location is excellent, remote and just steps from the beach yet with good roads that are accessible to any vehicle. The property is beautiful and relaxing, we loved the pool so much! The casita we rented had its own fenced in area so it was perfect for our dog. The barbecue grill was well stocked with a crate full of charcoal which we made good use of. They also provided restaurant quality meals to their guests, made by Maria’s husband JV. We had the gambas, the pasta with pesto and on the last night we ordered the hand tossed pepperoni pizza, all of it was amply portioned and absolutely delicious! We had such a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back!

I quickly felt right at home. The staff were helpful and the Manager was close at hand to sort out any needs. My room, a studio, had everything I needed including a functional kitchenl that I used everyvday. My view from the balcony was across the strailt to Luzon. l went to sleep every night to the sound of the waves breaking on the beach below my balcony.

We love the place! It was a memorable trip for our family, got to experience just hanging out by the balcony enjoying the sea breeze and the sound of the waves. We love lounging at the pool, even saw a rainbow and there's that eagle that comes out every morning and afternoon. Property is just on the beach, bring aqua shoes it's a bit rocky but not the sharp kind. From the comfy beds, to the big bathroom, to the well-equipped kitchen, they provide all you need for a good vacation. You can cook your own food, they even have a grill area, or you can order food from their resto/tiki bar. We ordered all our meals from their resto and it was so worth it. Gotta try the Driftwood Pizza. I'm missing their mango shake and pork sisig already. Kudos to Owen and team. Felt like we're on a 5-star hotel with their service. They even helped us get a tuktuk for exploring the area. Thank you for taking care of us.
